Another band figure coming next year

Galactic Hunter: With the Max Rebo Band being potentially revisited in the near future, is there a movement toward "finishing" the band? (Meaning Umpass Stay, Ak-Rev and maybe Gargan?) Also, are we ever likely to get Tech Mo'r from the Cantina Band updated with an instrument that he can sit at whilst playing?

HASBRO: At least one of those figures is slated for next year in the main assortment. The rest will have to bide their time patiently waiting for their turn on stage, confident in the knowledge that we hear the music, too. We hear the music…


I'd like to get any of these figures, so this is good news. Wasn't Ak-Rev on a rumor list or something? If he comes, I hope he includes a big ol' drum.

If it's only one, my money's on Yarna. They know how much we want her. And, after their Comic-Con stunt, they know that they need to give us Yarna and Wilrow in the near future or risk mutiny.

I think the number of people that want Yarna is relatively small (but very, very noisy). The campaign for her has gone on a long time and really doesn't have that much support in the big picture. So my money is on Ak-Rev.

The old leaked list had Umpass Stay w/ gong on it. So that would be what I expect since so far it has been spot.

If it's Umpass or Ak, they'll come with either the Bantormian klesplong or Drumheller harp. So i would assume that whichever one it isn't will somehow come later as a deluxe or part of a multipack with the Thunder drum. which is way too big for a blister card.

Hasbro's going to make us wait for Yarna. in fact i can only see here coming in a multi-pack.

Basically, they need to rescale Rappertunie to half his current size. check reference pics and you'll see his head should be human sized. currently it's twice as big.

the two drummers in a box with the whole drum kit and beaters would be better as an exclusive than just wimping out with individual figures.

Joh Yowza needs a new sculpt the old one is awful and incredibly unbalanced and boring. I'd prefer to see a modern take on the original Sy Snootles and Joh based on the original Yuzzum puppet. the cartoon - sorry, CGI versions are dreadful.

A pack of palace girls including Jess, Arica and Yarna would be good. I'd go for that.

Max Rebo with the missing part of his red ball jet organ added on. (big tube on the side with a mirrored disk on the end. it's attached at the other end of the keyboard to the thing sticking out with what looks like dashboard speakers).

could also do with a new sculpt of Doda Bodonawieedo. He uses the POTF2 style of Rodian head as opposed to the scale correct Commtech greedo head. it looks odd with Doda having a tiny head. Needs updating as does Greeta.

Give a cantina band member knees and a seat. And revised Omni box on a stand with pedals. BINGO! Tech Mo'r. Sixth member of the modal nodes.

Then take another cantina band member and give him a soft goods Tatooine rough tunic and a Kloo horn. BINGO! Lirin Car'n, seventh member of the modal nodes.

Re-releasing Droopy McCool with a softer paint wash so he doesn't look like he rolled in raw sewage would be good. getting his pants and feet the right colour would be nice.

Barquin D'an doesn't really need any changes. Rystall and Lyn Me don't either. though with all figures added articulation always helps.

I thought the weequay drummer (Ak-Rev?) was on the rumor list posted by RS. It wouldn't suprise me if they make Yarna, not only as an "apology" for that joke, but to shut us up.

Ak Rev is the Weequay who plays the Drumheller Harp which includes the Screamer gong.

Umpass Stay is the Klatooinian and plays the Bantormian Klesplong.

Both play the Thunder drum.

Yarna isn't a band member, she's a private dancer. A dancer for money, she'll do what you want her to do....

Interestingly, hasbro said "...at least one of those...." which means yes we'll get one but possibly more. so anyone want to place a bet on the two drummers with the whole drum/percusion kit in a window box? Perhaps an exclusive.

There's no point in making the drummers without the Thunder drum. so individually carded they'd suck. even if the came with their smaller percussion instruments. gotta have the big drum. so two figures plus the big drum plus the other instruments, call it $20. sounds good to me.

that way you'd only need Yarna, Jess and Arica and your palace entertainment is complete. as it were.

Don't really see a need for a new Oola. Personally I think the POTF2 version is fine. Unless they were just recarding her. for those who didn't get the exclusive set with Salacious B. Crumb.

I scored two of the Cantina sets last night at my Wal*Mart. I don't think they were supposed to be out yet. Didn't matter to me, they were so I bought them!

Maybe they're releasing another Tin set, one for the Rebo Band. I could come with Max, Droopy and the ORIGINAL Sy Snootles (not the horrendous aboninable abonination that SE one was). I would compliment the Modal Nodes Tin nicely. At least that's my hope.
