SirSteve has started sending pics from the Hasbro showroom floor, right now there's only a few but they're still coming in...

http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=5117

I'm very excited to see Vintage-style Han has a removable hood!

Vintage-Style Luke looks alright.

It appears that the mail-in with the Vintage-style figs is another figure, but I can't make out who from the photo.

Umpass-say has his Jabba's Palace drum.

The rounded corner to the cantina comes with Elis Helrot.

McQuarrie Chewie looks awesome.

CZ-3 looks like himself and seems to have articulated knees, good call Hasbro! Looks like he may have movable ankles as well.

VEHICLES!!!

(url may change, the pics are uploaded in the basic figs folder, hopefully they'll just rename the folder instead)

V-wing looks very nice.

Sith Infiltrator looks like the test-shot shown on ebay last week.

Please LMK what the trouble you're having is there as I'm not having any issues right now.

I've changed the folder structure for the images, here's where you can see what's up right now:
- - Hasbro Basic Figures (http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=5269) - initial images are coming in now of CZ-3, Elris Helrot with Cantina curved bar piece, Umpass-stay with palace drum, and McQuarrie-concept Chewbacca.
- - Hasbro Vintage-Style Figures (http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=5270) - initial pictures are up of Vintage-style Han Hoth, Bossk, and Luke Bespin.
- - Hasbro Vehicles (http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/showgallery.php?cat=5268) - initial pictures of V-wing Fighter, Sith Infiltrator, and Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter.

these pics are looking good. The VOTC look great, loved the V-Wing will have to get two to flank the Sith Starfighter. Bossk looks cool might have to get a few to make some various bounty hunting lizards.
Han's hood removable - awesome
does anyone know if the Sith Infiltrator has foldable wings for a landing mode ?
I do hope that the VOTC Luke is just a mock-up and not the final product as they packed him with an older version of his saber, I think it's a POTF short saber from back in '97.

I wonder what the UGH figure is going to be this year. I hope it's not another chance to get the Lucas Stormtrooper. Makes me wonder if it is going to be a Fett of somekind with removable helmet, maybe Boba or and SA Jango. The only reason I'm guessing about Fett is because the stickers last year had a Stormtrooper helmet and we got the Lucas Trooper and these stickers have Fett's famous mug on them.

The wings on the Sith Infiltrator definitely fold, the test shot on ebay showed them and I can see the design here matches, right down to the tabs in the middle (which I'm guessing are for spring-loaded opening wings).

I dunno if those are mock-ups, but it's possible. Hasbro's repacked accessories with the other Vintage-styles so why should this be any different? :p

You're totally right about getting 2, I didn't wanna before but seeing it now... it just might have to happen.

Judging by the size of the rounded cantina piece, I'm guessing two will be needed, possibly with a straight one inbetween them to get a good-sized bar made.

The VOTC figures look interesting, it seems we have another vintage figure to send in for (sticker says 2007), hopefully it's better than the Lucastrooper and not one of the ones pictured already. I swear the world would stop if you had to send in for the Snowtrooper. >_<

It looks like Han is gonna have a removeable hood but...what the heck kind of hood is that? Hopefully it's not the final version, it looks like he's got some sort of creature eating his head. :crazed:

The Galactic Hunt sticker says something about a coin ("7 coins," maybe) and 2007 International Toy Fair, I think.

What's up with Han's hood, I wonder? Looks funky.

(Everytime a page reloads I have to log back in.)

Wish I could be there to look at this stuff in person (next year), but I'd bet we're seeing some very nicely hand painted mock-ups. If not, then well... I'll be pretty blown away when I see them hanging on the pegs. McQuarrie Chewbacca is awesome. So are CZ-3 and Elris Helrot.

The vehicles look great also. V-wing is super cool. (Hope it's not all rubber tipped.) I'm liking Maul's ship now that I see it painted. I'm even into the Saesee Tin fighter though, so I suppose I'm a bit of a sucker.

The colouring on the curved bar peice - while outstanding - I don't think will match up to the current straight peices I've got....

That V-Wing is WICKED! Even the Sith Interceptor looks good

Hoth Han looks great, as does Luke and Greedo from VOTC

Luke TAC looks funky - but the moisture vaperator is AWESOME.

What's up with the Boba with Jango's helmet? Is that Boba, or Jango?

That figure appears to be a H'nemthe or Nightlily (http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/f/f2/M%5C%27iiyoom_onith.jpg). It's the character that's sitting with the Gotal in the Cantina.

Tycho

If you look at the picture of the loose Myoom Onth figure, she also comes with a curved bar section.

Elris is actually shown carded with his section. It looks like together with the older figures, they'll make a great set. Unfortunately:

2002: Greedo, Momaw Nadon, Ponda Baba
2003: Dr. Evazan, Kitik Keed Kak, Wuher
2004: K-Mart exclusive: Wuher, Kitik Keed Kak, Blue Snaggletooth
2005: nothing
2006: nothing
2007: oh yeah - remember 3 years ago and then back some?

The V-wing is alright. I'm down for a couple.

The Sith Infiltrator is exactly what I expected for it. I'm sure we'll continue fighting about that though.

For mid-sized vehicles, how I wished we would get:

Gungan Sub
Padme's star yacht
Large Homing Spider Droid
Kashyyyk Droid Army Gunship
Corporate Alliance Tank Droid
Wookiee Catamaran
Clone Swamp Speeder
Twin Pod Cloud Car

Any of these would have been more useful to me in my dioramas than the Sith Infiltrator or the V-wing. But I'd still want the two ships they're offering us, so it does "get them out of the way" and I'll be buying them.

Large vehicles woud of course include:

AT-TE
Clone Turbotank
Jabba The Hutt's Sailbarge

I'm very happy with what's being shown thus far! I never even knew they were coming out with a V-Wing so seeing that was quite a surprise.

The Infiltrator looks very good for being a mid-sized vehicle. I'm not too mad about it being supposedly small because then it would sit on the shelf and possibly compromise us getting anymore large vehicles that played an actual role in the SW universe.

Can't wait for more pictures so keep 'em coming!!!

The Han in carbonite Galactic Hero doesn't look as cute as it could've looked.

A smiley face on Han would have been characteristic of this line (in spite of being carbon frozen). However, they could have done an upside down, unhappy face:  on him as well.

This line is made to be "cute," not at all accurate. I think the Han Carbonite block sort of fails that count.

I suspect it's actually an unfinished prototype, the plastic torso looks like it's not even sculpted yet. I sure hope this isn't the finished look.

First impressions of Vintage style figure pics (3 figures only):

Han - the removable hood is a great idea, but his hat looks to be sitting a little high on his head. I REALLY, REALLY hope this figure works out - "Hoth Han" has been a favorite of mine since childhood, and hence is very close to my heart.

Luke - the face sculpt looks really great to me, I'm more excited about this figure now.

Bossk - very nice, I like the more open mouth.

Can anyone read the "Special Offer" stickers? What are we going to get as a promo this year? (Sorry if that's answered above, I've been too busy with the pics to read all the posts as of yet).

First Impressions of Basic Figures:

Man, the McQuarrie signature series are really looking good. 2 heads for Darth is news to me, and a very welcome addition. The Animated Fett is excellent looking as well.

Great job on the aliens (2 cantina dwellers and the Barada drummer - the names are all mixed up to me), very desirable each and every one.

First impressions of the new Vehicles:

The V-Wing looks very good, but I'm going to pass on the Infiltrator - it's just too small. What a shame, after all that waiting (because other than the scale, it's looking damned good).

Yeah, that shredded Vader, I think Hasbro's gonna have to do a full-size fig of that!

I believe Vintage Han will have a hood-down look sculpted to his outfit and the hood-up look clips over that to hide it. I don't think it's 2 removable pieces in one though, Hasbro just shot down the 2-piece helmet on Vader in Q&A last round.

Second, SOTE was a planned cross-promotional event right from the get-go centering around the book, comic, and N64 video game, with soundtrack CD and Hasbro and Galoob toys playing second fiddle to that. Force Unleashed (with the unfortunate acronym of "FU") seems to be mainly about the game with less cross-promo planning for the other stuff. Whether it turns out like SOTE in the longer run, we may be guessing but it does seem like it at least a little.

Hmmmm... sounds vaguely familiar. Weren't coins a mail-away promo back in 1985? It's a good way for Hasbro to be able to issue coins for the vintage figures, though they could have made POTF mock-up cards to accomplish the same thing.

Then again, those figures might never have been available on POTF cards. I'm no expert in that area.

Ysanne Isaard also known as "Ice Heart" wore a red woman's Imperial officer's uniform.

This figure could be the basis for her sculpt and she might be included in the Rogue Squadron comic book 2-pack.

Isaard appreared predominantly in Rogue Squadron comics and novels.

Her father had been the head of the Old Republic Senate Intelligence Bureau, that was transformed into the Imperial Inteligence Bureau. He had been an ally of Palpatine's.

His own daughter (Ysanne) had him set up, tried and executed (for treason I think), and Palpatine was quite taken with her treachery and rewarded her with her father's old position. She served him with ruthless efficiency.

Isaard has one blue eye, and one green eye. She wears the red uniform. She has long raven black hair she wears loosely down her back, but she has a white birthmark streak running through it on one front side.

Wedge Antilles would be the most obvious choice for the other Rogue Squadron figure, however, apparently a sculpt of Tycho Celchu's head for the A-wing figure is in production. He might be re-issued with an X-wing flight suit as the Dutch Vandor body is popular for kit-bashing (with good reason).
A TIE Pilot figure, with red Corellian Bloodstripes and removeable helmet would also make a decent Baron Soontir Fel, but to this day, Hobbie and Janson have been left out of the line. There are also alien X-wing pilots and of course Corran Horn.

Anything's possible, but this female Imperial Officer sculpt makes bringing Ice Heart out all the more likely now.

Mail away coins were part of the POTF1 line, they signaled the end of the line. :(

I think I have Han Hoth figured out, it's 1 removable hat, it's got the goggles as part of the hat, and in order to show off the figure's face the have the hat sitting up above the eyeline. I fear he may not have a hood-up look though.

I am having the same issue. And yes, I should be able to be there next year barring unforeseen circumstances.

Wow, all this stuff looks awesome. The curved sections are nice. I am loving this year so far.

The GH figs are surprising as hell. I love the removable helmets and Obi in Clone armor looks great.

I am pleased with the vehicles. The Sith Infiltrator is nice for its size. I wont complain. The V-wing is cool, might get it.

The VTAC... I hope they learned their lesson and dont short ship the army builders. I dont want a fiasco trying to find them like I did the biker scout.

Wow! I'll hand it to Hasbro. I am really impressed with some of this stuff.

I can't believe the size of the ACCESSORIES. It's like deluxe figures in the basic line. Umpass' drum, the cantina bar pieces, and the VAPORATOR. I swore I'd never buy another Tatooine Luke and now I'll probably buy three.

I wonder if we'll need still more curved bar pieces in addition to Nightlilly's and Elis'. I thought the curved section would have to be bigger. We'll see. Might be a good question for future Q&As, if there are more coming or if these two will do the trick.

I think the Vintage line is overpriced, but I think this batch may be the best yet. I am really tempted by the Han Hoth and IG-88. Don't see as big of a need to buy the Snowtrooper, Luke, Leia, or Bossk again, but it is a neat group of figures.

I hate EU, but the McQuarrie line is terrific. I will likely buy all of them and even the Boba Fett Holiday Special figure.

The Galactic Heroes are great. I am pleased Boushh has a helmet, Han comes with a Carbonite Block (it's like three figures in one pack), and that Vader has a removable helmet. The GH cantina aliens are great. It gets better and better.

I am happy to be getting Nightlilly and the CZ droid. And a good job on both.

I am still disgusted with the scale of the LIN (dome) droid, but I'm glad they're making it and I'll buy it. Biggs is still missing his cape.

The size of the vaporator lets me think the multi-armed (umbrella) droid from the droid sale may someday be made in the basic line.

I hope we can see a Hermi Odle at some point during the convention. He is a rumored figure conspicuously missing from the group. I really hope we get him this year.

Another possible question for a Q&A - now that we have seen the Toy Fair offerings, is there any chance of a Yarna figure in 2007?

I saw another pic that showed him hood down, with the hat separate. I'm fine with that, the figure is just too unbelievably awesome for words. If he can do hood-up though, that would just be having the cake and eating it too. And then having him come in blue some time down the road would be REALLY good as well. :D

they didn't short ship the army builders for VTSC though. everything was 2 per case, including the biker scouts and it was more a case of that particular figure being bought up more than the others.

Are the gray and white stormtrooper-looking guys concept figures? If so, between those two and the concept Boba Fett, I may have to not only buy concept figures but army build them--assuming Hasbro is nice enough to put them out in larger numbers than the previous concept trooper, which I doubt.

The two chicks are surprises. Not only could we get an Iceheart of of that figures, but Daala comes to mind too.

Then I'm surprised they'd show figures for that game now instead of Lando Smuggler, Herme Odle, the Tonnika Sister and others we're waiting for rumor-confirmation of.

You'd think those regular line figures would be coming out sooner?

I know Hasbro likes to keep something secret so they can get more attention at Celebration 4 and Comic Con, though.

That might make sense.

TAC waves 1-3 have been shown, and they're shipping in like Mar, Apr, and then C4 is in May so then they can reveal 4,5,6 for Jun, Jul, Aug, and Comic Con is at the end of July, practically Aug, so the Christmas items can be shown then.

Afterall, it's not that surprising of strategy...

Vaporator - awesome! how they'll fit it in the blister I have no idea but as long as the blister doesn't warp any parts I gotta but a few of those. Shame the Luke figure stinks though.

Thunder drum - it's too small but I can deal with that. Like I deal with Max Rebo having part of his red ball jett organ missing. Something that does bother me though is this guy only having half his drum and no percussion. Will we get those percussion instruments anytime. maybe a question for hasbro.... Umpass Stay looks cool.

Force unleashed black Sith guard - awesome. It looks so much more powerful than the red royal guards. I predict a top seller there. the laser pike accessory seems a bit over the top but I guess if i cut te laser off the pike will be a decent size.

Female Imperial officer - um, ok. whatever. nice sculpt but quite odd.

Female with saber and head horns - Cool. she's neat. I like her more than Ayla Secura.

Samurai jedi - silly. the shoulder pads are enormous. nice head sculpt but the rest looks dumb.

M'iiyoom Onith could use a litle green in the colouring of her head. she looks a little too drab brown right now. Not exactly the greatest figure made but cool to get.

Elis helrot looks cool. the ballet slippers are a bit surprising but hey - different strokes for different folks if you catch my drift.... The bar section is cool just hope the paint apps match up.

Death star trooper still looks odd. the joints are funky in a bad funky way. too bulky and round. and then he has those tiny ankles. his proportions are off.

Concept Chewie isn't as nice as I thought he'd be. the head is a bit weird, kinda flat and bland. And i doubt the paint apps on the fur will end up looking that good. I would have preferred hasbro to stick with one drawing for inspiration instead of combing two to make the costume more fussy.

Vaders.... meh. they all look so - meh.......

CZ-3 - the head is wrong. too big and the face is too long. A good effort but mal proportioned. even the arms are too big. it was anthony daniels in the suit for ANH so the proportions should be C-3PO esque. I'll still buy it though as it's unlikely they'll ever revisit this droid.

Lin Droid has a translucent dome. yay! the bits on top of the dome may not be small enough but this is still a favourite. The jawa looks good too.

1st apearance Boba Fett looks quite cool. nothing I'd buy but still looks cool.

IG-88 is cool too. the little cables and the amount of detail is stunning. Got to have me this figure.

Sith Infiltrator is just a piece of junk but the V-wing fighter looks cool. I foresee colour variants of that vehicle.

I'm impressed by more than i thought i would be. there's some gems among the carp.

I shall dub him Bu Tsechs!Of course they are made up for the game. It would be rather silly to make up some figures that had absolutely nothing to do with anything. As far as calling a character Samurai Jedi, maybe they don't have a name for him yet. I was basically agreeing with others that suggested that the making of that female Imperial might make it easier for them to make Isard or Daala. If the EU figures do well enough this year, perhaps we will see more.

Okay, I was hating on "Samurai Jedi," but he looks cool enough to actually get. I like the design.

Slick, if you're not set on the name, how about "Hagu Kari"? (Sorta a mixup of "Hagakure," the best known manual on the code of bushido.)

Wait a second. I just got your little joke. Definitely Hagu Kari.

The female officer sculpt: WTF??? They make some POS officer from a videogame, when they could make Daala instead?

Black Royal Guard: Useless repaint. But it looks cool, so I'll probably succomb and buy it.

Force Unleashed Stormtroopers: I'm burned out, but if they look good in person....

Battle-Damaged Vader: Stupidest thing in the world this side of Michael Bay's Transformers designs. Lucas made the baddest villain in film history a crybaby, and now the EU is going to make him a huge p***y who can get shredded like that by anyone but Sidious or Luke? Major ****ing stupid. Whatever dumb*** came up with that should tell his parents that siblings aren't supposed to procreate. They should put this douchebag in charge of resculpts of GIJoe's Duke and Serpentor, so he can make more **** I won't want.

Other Force Unleashed: Eh, who cares? Stupid videogame carp.

Basic Figures: All look good. I'm sick of Vaders, though, and popping Temeura's head on existing figures isn't going to make me want them. The one Han looks a little brightly colored, but no complaints otherwise.

Vintage Figures: Hoth Han looks sweet. I will probably re-think boycotting him. The rest of these are not $10 figures. The Leia is mediocre, and the Luke looks worse than even the first POTF2 Bespin Luke. Bossk and IG-88 are cool, but I have better things to spend $20 on than two peons with five seconds of screen time between them.

Galactic Heroes: Keep them coming. No complaints whatsoever.

There will be a Rogue Squadron Comic 2-pack in the comics assortment it is rumored (and likely).

Isaard could then be a good bet with this sculpt being done at this time.

Hehe. If Tycho is coming with the regular figures as an A-Wing Pilot (ROTJ), then they could put his head on the Dutch Vandor body and issue him also as an X-wing Pilot in this 2-pack if they want a goodie and a baddie.

To further accessorize it, wouldn't it be awesome if a Tycho figure came with a MOUSE DROID (because of Isaard)?

I'd finally change my avatar and my signature to reflect my pride! :crazed:

I will note for the record that the real Tycho Celchu had nothing to do with Imperial Mouse Droids and the relationship suggested by the Tycho on this forum site is entirely a development out of said forumite's psychosis.

I'll make another note for the record that Capt. Tycho Celchu, the ExO of Rogue Squadron, is actually a fictional character, thus there is not really a real Tycho Celchu. This has been a minute break in the insanity of said forumite with the same name. He will resume his daily slipping into psychosis shortly.

A quick question...Shouldn't the Han Solo with the comm system headpiece have a white stormtrooper belt on?

Once they got on board after the hanger fight in the first Death Star, I think Han takes the belt off as he jumps into his pilot's seat. Thus, he's not wearing it when he runs to the Falcon's gunwell.

The scene to check is when Luke is with Leia by the holochess board, and Han says, "Come on, Buddy. We're not out of this yet," an indication he needs Luke to help him shoot down some TIE fighters.

I believe he is wearing his traditional Han Solo gun belt at this point, not the borrowed Trooper's one.

Overall, this year's selection looks pretty damn slick!

Force Unleashed figures - some of these are nice. I like the decimated Vader, but he looks a little too old for only being a few years after ROTS. It will be interesting to learn more about the other characters.

Vintage figures - why the hell does the packaging say "The Saga Collection" still? Hopefully they change that. Leia looks a little mannish; Luke looks like he's four and the picture on his card is stupid; Han's hood is dumb but otherwise he's awesome; I love IG-88's knife; Bossk is a little off; and the snowtrooper's waist thing is too big (and he only has the pouches in the carded sample, I hope that's how he turns out to be).

McQuarrie Vader - damn, those helmets are freaky. I like the olive coloring and the stylized blue saber. The other figures are cool too.

CZ-4 - he looks pretty nice. The face is a little off, but oh well.

Tatooine Luke - sheesh, what happened to his face? I like the moisture vaporator at least (even if it is way smaller than in the film).

Darth Vader - his main selling point is the remains of Obi-Wan. He looks like the Tin set version.

M'iiyoom Onith - glad to get her, I hope she too comes with part of the bar.

Elis Helrot - looks nice. Now that he comes with part of the bar, I feel suckered for paying $10 to get the repainted figures with the bar back in 2002.

Stormtrooper - hopefully he'll look good with his helmet on.

Jedi Luke - kind of off. The right forearm and hand are ginormous and the face is bizarre. They shouldn't have given him the blast mark on his hand, or they should have included different hands too. This kind of seems like a step backwards from the 2004 version.

Umpass-Stay - awesome. I love the big accessories.

Animated Debut Boba Fett - I like how they don't even mention the Holiday Special on his card. :D I'm diggin' the colors.

Biggs - I hope he has the cape, but he's pretty great.

Jawa and droid - I like the vest. The Lin droid is sweet.

The V-wing doesn't really excite me in the film but the toy is a pretty good version of it, it gets the job done.

I really like the Sith Infiltrator, even if it is way too small.

The coin mail-in is a nice idea.

Oh, and what does "HFE" mean and why did they write it on some of the carded stuff?

The comicon shows normally yield more than the toyfair. Toyfair if I'm not mistaken is more about eliciting product orders and setting the tone for the year ahead. whereas the comicon type events are as much about the fans as they are the product. I could be wrong though.

something i just read at GH though has cheered me up. Hasbro says Yarna is 'on the cards' but not for 2007. they just need to find a way to get her into a line up in a way that will ensure she sells as she's a 'very hard sell'. but at some point she'll show up to the party. good news indeed. you need to check the blog spot thingy on GH to find that nugget though.

If it were me I'd shove her in with that new Oola we were hearing about in rumours. Throw a slave leia in (SA so she can sit on Jabba's nonexistant dias)). two semi naked hot chicks and one ugly fat chick. the two hot chicks would sell the set. thus yarna shifts off the pegs. Makes perfect sense to me and hot chicks aren't exactly my - thing.

Or do and EU 2-pack of Yarna and Sgt. Doallyn from 'Tales from Jabba's palace'. They can't argue that there's no visual reference for those book characters.

tis rumoured that the Rebo band will be seeing a reappearance sometime in the near future. mixing Yarna in with them would be another way and has been suggested to hasbro by those at GH who spoke with mr. product developer dude.

So it's not like there are no options. What they need to do is attempt to get her out before the tv shows start airing and they get into banging out product based on those. trying to sell yarna in competition with troopers and more clones and so on is probably why she'd be a hard sell.

Myguess is she'd have to be part of some exclusive set. Like the Rebo band in some form of cinema scene sets like the cantina 3-packs.

Is that it for Hasbro coverage? I'm not slighting Steve here, he's done a great job. What I mean is, is that all Hasbro is going to show us? I thought that in years past they had a big powerpoint presentation with pictures of things they hadn't brought. They've shown quite a bit, and I'm really happy with what I've seen, but I was expecting to see more. This is pretty standard fare for their off-movie Toy Fair presentations. Sometimes they have more detailed display backgrounds and models not really saying anything important but dressed up like SW characters, but the amount of material is roughly the same.
