I am considering buying it for 40.00. Is that reasonable? I stupidly never bought it when I saw it on clearance. But, now I want it... I can't find it anywhere cheaper. Is it worth it? It looks pretty cool and a huge improvement, but is it?

At this point I would wait for the 25th Anniversary version of the X-Wing. Either that or wait until the Ep2 toys kill the phenomenon and you'll be able to find one for under $10.:)

Or you could Try Ebay, I've seen them on there for around 20.00. It's a pretty nice vehicle, but I agree. If you're not a completest, just wait and get the upcoming 25th Anniversary X-Wing.

Is the 25th Anniversary X-Wing confirmed? I know it was mentioned but I never heard if the big cheese at Hasbro ok'd it.

Last I heard on this was it was sceduled for later this year as an exclusive to TRU. The markings will be painted on and not stickers, and it will come with a removable R2-D2, and the crates and recharger lamp that was shown on Dagobah in Empire. I don't think it will come with a pilot, if it does it will most likely be a different head sculpt Luke X-Wing Pilot.

My advise, PloKoon, is get it while you can. If you wait, it may not be there and you'll regret it. It's happened to me a couple of times.

And if the 25th anniversary X-wing does come out (this is the first I've heard of it and it looks cool!) you'll have two!

Thanks all, I bought it and I love it. I am glad that I did too. Because of what you said OC47150, I often do that stupid thing. I say, "well if I found it then it can't be THAT hard to find" then I usuallly regret it. I did however get Mynock Hunt, Captain Piett and Zuckuss when I did and that was lucky. So, now I have decided that motto is stupid.

My biggest regret is passing on the '95 12" Obi-Wan Kenobi. Saw it at Christmas time and thought it will be there after the holidays and it wasn't.

I'm glad you have one, PloKoon. It's pretty cool, isn't it?

I am also after the Force FX X-Wing. I was going to get it in a trade, but the trader made several mistakes and i ended up getting burned really badly. $120+ down the drain and none of the items arrived. One of the reasons why i am not collecting anymore. I know there are a lot of good and friendly people out there, but i met so much scum the last 1-2 years that i lost my confidence.

Ouch! Did you report him to his local post office? They might possibly investigate for mail fraud.

I filled out the mail fraud form on USPS.com several times in the last 1-2 years, but i don't think they did much. I did get a letter, but it only said they received my report.
