I'm going to pick Kentucky to lose the first round for the same reason. That, and they stink this season.

I think Caesar is gonna win.

I picked Michigan State in all of my brackets because it seemed like a good shot at getting an upset. I'll be damned if it didn't work.

But I think the real winner is gonna be Jets & Heels. How can he lose with a team name like that?!:D

I just logged in for the first time and immediately knew who JAH was. lol Great name! Not bad either JAH, only missing one pick yesterday, and how ironic that it would be Duke.

I picked 12 right. Out of the ones I missed I had the teams losing in the next round anyways, so I didn't really screw myself. Looking forward to todays/tonights games. Of course I'll be pulling for VA Tech and KY, even though I have them losing. :D

And hey, I got every upset correct yesterday !!!!!!!!

03-16-2007, 01:17 PM
Hey, I'm pretty sure you aren't going to get every game right either, so you don't have to gloat about one game that I got wrong. Everybody thinks they are a f***ing expert, that's what I hate about playing these fantasy games.

pbarnard

True, but a team of 5 Chimps will have a better graduation rate than any Bob Huggins' coached team.

I hate depending on ncaasports.com/mmod for a game I want to see. Bad enough I had to wait in line, but than again, I'm getting what I'm paying for, which is nothing.

Really? What gave it away? :)

Not bad either JAH, only missing one pick yesterday, and how ironic that it would be Duke.

I gave Dook the benefit of the doubt...even though they had a lackluster regular season, even I cannot deny that they are successful in the tournament.
But like I said before, I didn't mind picking that game wrong.....its like Carolina won twice last night.

pbarnard
03-16-2007, 04:51 PM
Sorry P, they gave 'em OT at least. :(

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

That's OK. We're a Jesuit University. By beating us (class of '99) they're guaranteeing their place in hell.:twisted::twisted::twisted:

What sucked is that I'm closer to Omaha than Madison in Iowa City, but yet, I had to watch that 7th Grade C team nearly blow it instead of probably the best game of the afternoon sessions. Close, back and forth, interesting, overtime. Yet, they refuse to show it locally and I have two CBS stations, one out of Cedar Rapids the other out of the Quad Cities. People wonder why I sided with Mediacom during the Sinclair/Mediacom no air the superbowl deal, and because of stupid decisions like this.

I did a little better today. Texas A&M winning and Vanderbilt winning really helped me. I was hoping for Ohio State to lose, and UNC. Damn is that Hansbrough a beast! I hate him he's so good.

Some really good games today, hopefully tomorrow will be more of the same.

LETS GO.... HOKIES!!! and UK Wildcats of course!

While I hoped and got a Kansas victory, Tubby Smith should not be fired. He's the best coach available short of Larry Brown returning to college, and without anyone better to replace him, should get to keep his job. It is not his fault that the past decade the best players skipped college and that finally there's parity because those that didn't go early went to other schools became seniors, and yes, 4 years of physical maturity does seem to matter until it comes down to overall talent in the round of 16 where more talented underdeveloped players seem to excel and leave the seniors destined for Europe and the D-League get left behind. (ok, so my school's slogan this year was 'Get Funk'd!')

figrin bran
03-18-2007, 08:40 PM
and just like that, the school i hate the most ended Kevin Durant's collegiate career.

Tar Heels please destroy the Trojans!

like Rick Pitino, for example ? ;)

Someone should contact Stephen Hawking about that one, because the refs shifted the time continuum!

Gumby says it was because the ball bounced.

Or maybe he said it was because the refs liked to watch themselves on TV with their rumps in the air, bent over gawking at that monitor.

He said one of the above, I just can't remember which one? :(

UKWildcat
03-22-2007, 10:23 PM

lol No kidding man. That was absurd.

Gumby says it was because the ball bounced.

Gumby :D. Yea, the ball bounced and the ball isn't ruled dead or out of bounds until it touches something that is out of bounds, but still, there is no way that was 1.1 seconds. Maybe .5 seconds. Oh well, whats done is done.

like Rick Pitino, for example ?

nah....Rick can stay in Louy. I've heard several names but one that really stuck out was Donovan. Getting Billy Donovan would be awesome! I doubt that would go through, since he is doing so well at FL, but Donovan has roots in KY (assistant to Pitino), so I guess it's possible. I can dream... Man, that would be sweet! :D

Sheesh, talk about a crazy game.

not to worry...i stepped away from the game in the 2nd half and what happens? Tar Heels win.

as much as i hate to admit it, $C is for real and will only get better with OJ Mayo coming in next year.

UKWildcat
03-24-2007, 11:23 PM
Ahhhh..... I could really careless about tournament now. I'm not a fan of any of the teams that are in it. I guess I'll pull for UCLA or Oregon, if they win tomorrow. If Oregon doesn't win, then just UCLA.

pbarnard
03-25-2007, 03:02 PM
I hold steady. I'm consistently inconsistent. I think this is the first time ever that I had all my Final Four teams make the Elite Eight, never mind getting one in, and have my championship game intact.

Kidhuman
03-25-2007, 07:15 PM
I gots my final four in there, its all I care about.

Sorry Heelz, they made a good run.

Sorry Heels. to make things worse, i'm sure some of your guys will consider jumping to the pros.

Hansbrough will probably stay...he was very dissappointed in the locker room and he does not want to end his college career like that. He is not the type to leave things undone. If he went pro I would actually be a bit shocked.

Brandan Wright is another story. His blocking ability and his physical aggressiveness will earn him big bucks in the NBA so he may be one and done for us. I hope not though.

CaptainSolo1138
03-26-2007, 06:29 AM
The good news: Three out of four of my Final Four picks made it.

The bad news: The team that didn't make it, UNC, was picked to win it in all of my brackets. Can you say "busted", kids?

pbarnard
03-26-2007, 03:58 PM
Got 3/4 and have my Champion and Championship game intact. WOOHOO!!!

JetsAndHeels
03-26-2007, 04:09 PM
This doesn't really pertain to the tournament games, but this morning Jason Ray (member of the carolina cheerleading group who wore the ramses suit) was prounounced dead at a NJ hospital. He had been hit by an SUV Friday night in NJ when the team was in town for the tournament. He was a senior at UNC and was only 21 years old.
I just wanted to share this...its a hard day for TarHeel fans and the entire school...and it makes the basketball games seem very insignificant in the big scheme of things.

If anyone wants the entire story here (http://tarheelblue.cstv.com/genrel/032607aaa.html) is the link.
