Found the entire TAC wave two (Yavin) at Target this morning. Not only that, but Target is having a sale on these figures for $6.29 each, as well as most all the other Star Wars stuff. Good hunting, and this is NOT April Fools!

I hit the same Target (see above #1 post) last night before they closed to see if there was anything new, and I found all five of the "Order 66" packs or tubes. Funny thing is they were on an end cap near the registers at the front of the store. I can't believe my luck in the last two days. Went back in there at noon today and they were all gone of course.

Got a second set of order 66 figs today, a saleucami battlepack for seanmcfripp, and another deathstar gunner for myself.
My Titanium Grievous came in from EE today. I'm loving the $25 off coupon they e-mailed out 2 weeks ago. Also my bantha set came in. The best part is, it cost me $23 since I got it during the buy one get one free sale (I also picked up the new TIE at the same time.)
Oh yeah, I almost forgot...I also got a gallon of skim milk.

Hot Wheels 1966 TV Batmobile - very well-done body, interior is pretty lacking but easily overlooked. Wheels are standard 5-spokes which is too bad, they look alright here but very inaccurate too. Paint is decent if simple. Cardback is pretty nifty with lots of info, way more than standard HW cards.

TAC Wave 2 (minus Death Star Trooper) - Concept Fett is a real winner. Luke's face isn't quite as off as it looks in photos, but still pretty wonky. Rebel Honor Guard ain't so bad, but wide stance hurts. Han Gunner is a mixed bag, not a bad figure and the likeness has some positive aspects, but open mouth makes it look odd. Biggs is a good likeness, but this Gold Leader body needs better arms.

Titanium Series Jabba's Sail Barge - thanks to Figgy for the restashing on this. It's a simple piece, no flashy stuff, no moving parts, not even wheels. Design is decent, sails are a bit thick, paint is a tad simple. They goofed on the rear thrusters, there should be an outer set. Grade: B-
Titanium Series Firespray Interceptor - the other part of Figgy's stash. I wasn't convinced of this one, but seeing it in person, it has a real charm to it with these metallic colors. They didn't carve Boba Fett out of the pilot seat though. Not a bad addition. Grade: B

Over the past week, I've picked up the following crap:
Hot Wheels Micro Madnetics Verti-thrill Drop - on clearance at Target for $1.24, and I'm a sucker for magnetic toys. The magnetic motorcycles in the set are alright, tiny with huge rear wheels which are VERY powerful magnets (there's no front magnet though so it rears out when attached not upright to anything). The launcher works pretty well, flings these suckers out hard in the last setting, the red bike is lower though and pops up when launched rather than rolling :p. The actual track thing is ok, not sure why you'd want them to stop halfway through the over-hang but that's the gimmick, the bikes don't want to stay on the track that well, they tend to fly off before magnetically sticking. Still, I'm happy for the price.
Star Wars Transformers Saesee Tiin / Ep 2 Jedi Starfighter - surprisingly nice, well-built so nothing is floppy or pops off even during transformation (except on the hyperdrive ring where the piece is supposed to come off anyway). Alt mode looks nice, has great landing leg features that are accurate to the film (NO other JSF toy has that!), orange paint is loud but actually works here somehow, and the removable ring is out of scale but represents everything well (although it's upside-down technically). The lightsabers are spring-loaded missiles in the hyperdrive engines, the sabers are hard plastic this time, thankfully. The only revealed bot kibble is the arms in the underside, which also has a little alignment issue (I had to fiddle a lot to get these to line up so they went in as far as they could while the engines pointed straight); the astromech is looking sideways and doesn't turn, they didn't paint the canopy edges so the sculpted area is clear. Transformation is decent and has 2 nice undocumented features - the peg holding the feet together folds into the foot, and the cockpit seat folds back partway - but does make a modest backpack out of vehicle kibble (and I'm not talking of the hyperdrive ring backpack which is separate). Bot mode is pretty decent, the orange still somehow works, and the battle mask ain't so bad - plus it folds back to reveal Sassy's robo-face or you can remove it altogether. The lines are pretty clean - minus the kibble backpack which isn't too offensive - you could easily see this as a generic soldier/Jedi setup; the right hand is cupped but modified so the thumb is down and the 2 fingers are Force-gesturing (I guess these mechs are mobile suits mimicking the pilots' actual body motions). Articulation is pretty decent with head, side-hinge shoulders, rotating upper arm, restricted double-hinge elbows, swivel wrists, universal-jointed hips, rotating lower thighs, hinged knees, rotating ankles, and side-hinged feet; but the transformation scheme sacrifices waist and forward shoulder articulation. The hyperdrive ring backpack center just rotates around and pegs into the figure's kibble backpack, the intended build removes the lower half of the ring and plugs it into the bottom of the pack vertically and sideways so it's like a tail that works to keep the figure standing, but I just leave it in there and it barely fits around the kibble pack. All in all, a pretty decent set, I was only annoyed at getting the arms back in place correctly as it's too variable, everything else worked for me more than I was expecting. Grade: B / B+
SW Galactic Heroes ROTJ Luke & Vader - cute set, but both are in a fencing pose which doesn't perfectly translate for me, and only their saber arms can move. Luke comes off really nicely, a little sloppy in paint but the sculpt and outfit and even the saber hilt are all spot on. Vader's sculpt is nice, the head is smiling but otherwise translates just right. The helmet isn't quite as spot on, and I don't understand what the vents in the back are for, but it fits well and looks good enough. Grade: B+
SW Galactic Heroes Leia Boushh, Han Carbonite, & Carbonite Block - another decent set, Leia's helmet is removable and a tad huge, but she looks nifty in and out of it. Han's got wilder hair than usual and looks pretty slick, his gun is huge and not removable but the arm is articulated; his smirk is a little off from usual. The carbonite block is very nice, it's not hollow, it's not too shallow, it's got a very decent sculpt with controls on the side, and on the undetailed back there's a cut-out so that the Skiff Han in the set can stand partway in and pretend to be thawing out. Grade: A-

Titanium Series 3" Battlestar Galactica Classic Cylon Raider - very nice sculpting and detailing, among the best ever. No moving parts, but it looks great and it's a big chunk of metal. Grade: A- (would be higher if the price hadn't gone up or it had a moving part like an opening cockpit)

Titanium Series Battlestar Galactica Battlestar Pegasus - mega-huge thanks to mtriv73 for hooking me up with this hard-to-find mutha. This is a very nice piece, it doesn't have moving parts like the Galactica, but it's got a great sculpt and a nice paint job, both of which get better the closer you look. I do confess that it's a little light for a die-cast ship, but it's got plenty of metal, it's just not solid to the core since it doesn't need to be.
Star Trek: 40th Anniversary TOS Enterprise - NewForceComics did a great job with a nice price and decent shipping. This is a very welcome piece, especially now that the remastered TOS eps are airing, but I feel like there's something more that could have been done with it, maybe a subtle plated paintjob the way the remastered version looks, or more Shatner lines, or diffusing the top and bottom saucer domes, or lighting the impulse engines, or a couple more sounds. I dunno, it's very nice but it's like DST/AA kneeled at the 10 yard line after a perfect kick return. The ship has nice detailing for what is there, though the plugs covering the screw holes are done very sloppy compared to the rest of this line, and the paint is minimal but effective where added. The shape seems spot-on except the saucer looks a little fat to me. The sounds and lights are nifty except for the Shatner lines which are sloppily taken from eps and don't have the right tone to them, and the warp sound which is too short. Finally, the stand is a big step backwards for this line, it's back to the 1-sided flimsy versions, and this time with a new ugly cylinder acting as a cup outside the ship for the first time (even weirder since this ship, unlike the last one the Ent-E, comes with the solid battery hatch as well). Still, very much worth getting if you're a Trek fan.
SW:TF Republic Gunship - another in this wave without movable shoulders, what the hell? This one comes apart kinda easy at some of the joints, but the bot mode and vehicle mode both look good, and there's a nifty transformation here. The figure has a kibble backpack, this time with wings, and they leave a step out of the instructions (removing the tail gun) that leads to confusion. Not as good as the Jedi Starfighter, but not the worst in the line either.
TAC Death Star Trooper x2 - Way too tall, the head is off-center, and the eyes painted looking up is a really stupid idea since the helmet covers his face too much anyway. Other than that stuff, this is a welcome addition, the outfit and helmet sculpt are great, it's got tons of articulation, and the holster works nicely. They included the stormtrooper blaster which is wrong, but they painted the barrel with a tiny amount of silver which is so right.

eBay yesterday: four Johnny Lightning Star Trek "White Lightnings"
2 TOS Enterprises (the pearl white paint looks closer to the original than the grey, I'll be opening one)
1 NX-01 (the white looks cheesy on this Enterprise)
1 Enterprise Refit (has a little Star Trek "V" on the bottom, but still very rare)
...and a bunch of wave two "Battle-Damaged" which I will be opening to fill in the gaps of my loose JL Star Trek collection.

JT, you liked his knees? His knees are whats stopping me from getting more. They don't bother me, the articulation could be better-integrated, but the poofiness of the knees is in line with the outfit's movie design, the pants are poofy from the knee up because they bunch up at the boots - even the POTF2 DST has his look like this, he just didn't have articulation in there.

An awesome haul I just had to post:
2x Concept Boba Fetts
2x Concept Stormtroopers
2x Galactic Marine
A haul so nice I couldn't haul it all, so I had to leave behind three Elite Corps Clones I couldn't afford.
The two Concept Fetts are for me, as are the two Marines, but one of the Concept Stormtroopers is for a friend while I may share the wealth on the second one for someone who doesn't have one.

Caved and bought the widescreen Indiana Jones DVD box set yesterday. Nice set, although I was little surprised about there not being any booklets or at least a chapter selection sheet included with any of the discs.
Picked up three 1:18 The Ultimate Soldier X-D WWII figures at WM yesterday as well, my first. I got Pvt. Kennett, German Infantry, and two Afrika Korps troopers: Pvt. Dieffenbach and Cpt. Newhaus. I thought about using them with my vintage Kenner Indiana Jones figures, but they are quarter-inch taller. Nice sculpting and lots of accessories for $5 each.

Titanium Spider-Man 3 Sandman x2-
The overall detail of it is nice but the eyes are horribly done, they're just black blotches, I decided the rest of it looked nice enough that I would just consider him "phasing" through humanoid and...sandoid...modes and that's why it looks funky.
Titanium Spider-Man 3 Venom x2 -
I think it's definitely the best of the Titaniums, it's larger than any of them and though it has a basic pose, he's actually black & silver instead of purple or blue.
Titanium Spider-Man 3 Venom (Silver/"Raw Metal") x2 -
WTF? Where did that come from? They also had a silver Spidey with the sculpt that is available in both black and red & blue varieties. Kinda looked cool so I grabbed it.
I'll probably elaborate on them further when I open them, I don't know how Venom is supposed to go with his stand unless he's magnetic. Theres no foot prints or pegs for him to be secured to. Although they're just under being worth the entire $6 they're the only Spider-Man 3 items I'm going to get, I see their small size as being a higher rather than lower value since I won't be sacrificing much room.

Making of Star Wars (paperback) - surprised this got here so fast, I'm not used to paying for Amazon.com shipping. So far, it's amazing.
Master Replicas .33 Stormtrooper Blaster Scaled Replica - got this at Science of SW at the museum, it's decent but not quite as good as the sabers, and the clamshell packaging takes away a lot of the specialness. I really hate the coarse paint too. And why use the curved full clip, is that thing even in the movie or just promo pics?
TAC Vader w/ Coin Holder - clearance at Target, I figured what the hell. Haven't looked at it since it got home.
Essential Judas Priest 2 disc set - haven't had a chance to open it yet, but has a lot of great tracks and I got a good deal for a new copy.
Astronaut Ice Cream - can't go to the science museum without buying this stuff, it's awesome!
Titanium Series Ultra 6" Jedi Starfighter - nice but I'm spoiled by the AMT/Ertl version which is far and away superior. The canopy feels really cheap, the deco and paint weathering is a little below par, the wings don't open nicely and stop at slightly different angles from each other, the body is thick like I suspected and the screw holes stick out too much. The detailing in the cockpit is very nice though. It's decent and whooshable, should have come out a lot earlier.
Titanium Series Ultra 6" TIE Fighter - this one is not exciting due to a straightforward paintjob and no features beyond the opening cockpit, but they actually did a better job with this than I initially thought, it's much more in scale than the Action Fleet one was because the center elements have been shrunken down. The wings look nice but are twistie-tied onto the pylons and have ugly screws holding the snap panel in place on the wing itself, the pylons and wings meet with plastic which is super lame since it leads to slight sagging, but you can treat the wings as blast-off panels this way. They could have detailed the cannons right and got more going with the thrusters on the back, but generally the detail is nice work.
