Please post your VOTE for up to 6 {six} of the questions provided in this thread, letting us know which ones you most want to see asked on Friday, May 4th. Keep in mind that your votes in round 27 do not count in this round, so if your question is still on the list, you may want to vote for it again.

Also, feel free to post new questions. For reference, here are Hasbro's answers from previous SSG questions (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=76); and from other sites (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=510). And here are the questions we asked last round:
As this is the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars' release and your line this year is called the "30th Anniversary Collection", now seems the best time to ask this one: what are the chances that we'll be getting a figure of the very first person ever seen in all of Star Wars (that's not a droid), the white-haired Rebel Fleet Trooper who shows worry and then steadies to hold off the Stormtroopers for control of the Tantive IV? For clarification, the Decipher CCG named this guy "Lt. Pello Scrambas" - though nobody seems entirely in love with that name so feel free to NOT use it ;). This would also be a great chance to do a new, better-articulated Rebel Fleet Trooper body.
With the Titanium Series 3" Star Wars vehicle line, there's been a growing problem on the pegs consistently reported from all across the nation. At each of the 3 major retailers (TRU, Target, Wal-mart), the Titanium 3" Transformers figures - even though they ship in separate cases under unique assortment numbers meant for separate spots in stores planograms - often end up getting placed on the Star Wars Titaniums' pegs by employees because the packaging is the same unique shape and both lines sport the "Titanium Series" badge at the top; and now this is happening with the Spider-Man 3 Titanium 3" figures as well. That ends up mixing several dissimilar lines together, burying and even choking off pegspace for the Star Wars Titaniums while likely also slowing sales for the Transformers Titaniums. Your current solutions mentioned above (asst #s, planograms) don't seem to be enough at the retail level to ensure a separation of product which often means no pegspace for Star Wars Titaniums so they don't get put on shelves as often -- can you do something else to ensure that Star Wars Titaniums aren't overwhelmed at the pegs by Transformers and Spider-Man Titaniums?
A number of questions about the possibility of seeing specific figures & vehicles realized as toys have met with answers about their chances largely hinging on whether or not they appear in the upcoming Star Wars tv shows. Hypothetically, if Lucas changed his mind tomorrow and decided the Clone Wars and live action Star Wars shows were just not going to happen at all, what would happen with those potential toy concepts, and how would Hasbro's general outlook on the future of the Star Wars line change?
Will we be getting a new Hoth Rebel Trooper in the foreseeable future? We've got a new, high-quality Snowtrooper coming finally but the Rebel side of the battle hasn't been well-represented in quite a while. The last version was in the 2004 Saga line and was very short (shorter than the protocol droid R-3PO from the same wave even), had little usable articulation, was overly-preposed, and had an odd face. It seems like most of the other OT troopers have gotten decent figures in the past few years except the Hoth Rebel Trooper, the Hoth battle scenes are very 1-sided over this, when will it be his time?
In a recent question about the new Vintage-style clamshells, you were quoted as answering "The clamshells will be sealed, like the majority of last year's run." However, the heat-sealed Vintage-style Saga Collection clamshells were generally rendered unusably damaged once the seals were opened, thus defeating the main purpose of the supposedly-reusable clamshell packaging that is part of the significantly increased Vintage-style pricepoint. So will that issue be taken into account, or are collectors going to have to damage the clamshells to access the contents within? If the latter, why?
Might we ever get the Mustafar hovering lava harvesting platform for the Mustafar Lava Miner, Obi-Wan, and Anakin as Vader to ride on, perhaps also coming with the lava panning droid for Vader to ride on top of? Granted, the hovering platforms were done in the Mustafar playset, but those seemed too small and lacking in accurate detailing.Current questions (vote for up to 6):

- Having met some of you at SD Comic-Con, where I've been able to talk to you and learn all sorts of things about the struggle involved in making these toys, I wonder if maybe you'd consider sharing a lot more of that with collectors in general? If not, why? - asked by Plasticfetish
- Back when you were posting updates about the Fan's Choice figure development on your site, it did a lot to generate interest. Any chance that you'd go back to doing something like that? If not, why?
- I've seen the Kenner and Galoob logos on a few things lately. Is that just a "special" thing, or are we looking to see a relaunch of some old brands?
- Are more properties aside from Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Marvel, and Transformers planned for the Titanium Series brand?
- Canadaian collectors miss out on a many of the US-only store exclusives. Any chance Canadians could have every exclusive figure/vehicle/combination made available on shop.starwars.com after their shelf runs in the US stores?
- Is there any possibility of seeing a 7" Unleashed Clone Wars Animated wave?
- What is the status of the Holiday line? Any thoughts to a release of a Padme & Anakin with baby Luke manger type of scene?
- With talk about the Expanded Universe figures returning in 2007, are the EU figures going to be short-packed like TSC's Scorch or will there be enough for everyone?
- If Hasbro feels that mid-sized vehicles is the way to go, then will we be seeing more airspeeders and landspeeders in the forseeable future? Some of the airspeeders are pretty much snubfighter sized.
- Eventually will all the Episode III Clone Commanders be released as an entire set?
- With the release of the George Lucas in Stormtrooper Disguise and the Lucas Family Collection, can we expect to see a George Lucas the Director action figure in his trademarked flannel shirt and perhaps variations of old and young Lucas?
- Are there going to be any more silver 'raw metal' Titanium 3" ships like the silver Slave I, 5-pack Millennium Falcon, 5-pack Death Star, etc.?
- Since we've seen Star Wars crossovers with Transformers done in the Star Wars Transformers line, the Attacktix line, a Galactic-Heroes-styled line, and even some might argue the Titanium Series line; and Marvel Superheroes now have Titanium and Galactic Hero-styled entries, will we get other kinds of crossover entries, perhaps GI Joe Galactic Heroes? Star Wars, Transformers, and GI Joe all had their first comic ties to Marvel, so it'd be... uh... "perfect"!
- Though you said you wouldn't be releasing any new Separatist Leaders or Neimoidians in 2007 does this include repaints and retools of existing ones?
- What does Hasbro think about using the New Jedi Order (Yuuzhan Vong) series of novels for source material for the Expanded Universe collection?
- Since the Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter is an orange version of the AOTC ship, does this lower the chances of getting the green & gray (with yellow droid) ROTS version of his ship as seen in the Clone Wars cartoon episode 23, or is it possible that we will still see one in the future?
- Since the AAT has been rereleased with the mid-sized vehicles, will the similarly-sized TX-130 Saber-class tank - seen in the Star Wars: Clone Wars and Battlefront videogames - ever be made? The vehicle was even used for both Republic and Imperial troops in Battlefront II.
- Any chance of ever seeing the Ultra Battle Droid made that appears in the Clone Wars Adventures Volume 1 comic story Heavy Metal Jedi?
- Understanding you don't want to divulge specific figures, can you tell us how many (if any) figures in the 30th Anniv. line will have running-change variant figures, a la The Saga Collection Endor Rebel Soldiers?
- The images released of the 30th Anniv. wave 2 carded and loose Death Star Trooper show him coming with the standard E-11 Stormtrooper blaster, however in A New Hope these troopers are shown sporting the DH-17, the blaster most often used by the Rebels (this blaster is even represented in this same wave with the Rebel Honor Guard and Biggs figures). Why did the Death Star Trooper figure ship with the incorrect E-11 stormtrooper blaster?
- Any chance that Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast will get together and pack in WOTC's Star Wars minatures with Hasbro basic figures?
- Any chance that we could get a new Rancor, perhaps packed with a Dathomir Witch or Sith Witch instead of Luke?
- In recent years, many Darth Vader figures have included a silver piece of material around the neck to represent the chain that holds Vader's cape on. However, every time this feature has been included, the "chain" ends up looking too big and out-of-place, while Vader figures that do not include this chain end up looking much better. In the interest of accuracy, could the chain either be scaled down (to better match its look in Episodes III, V, and VI), or done as sculpted plastic (as on earlier incarnations), or simply left off (as in Episode IV) on future Darth Vader figures?
- What are the chances of getting the Scorpenek Annihilator Droid from the New Essential Guide to Droids?
- With the excitement generated by Sideshow's 12" figure line, does Hasbro have any regrets about cancelling their 12" line, especially since it's clear that there is a strong market for high-quality 12" Star Wars figures? Did Hasbro recognize a deficiency in their 12" Star Wars product which didn't meet consumer's expectations of quality leading to a lack of success, and was that a chief factor behind the decision to end it? Is there anything that in hindsight Hasbro would have done differently with the 12" line to keep it in-house?
- With 2007 being focused on the 30th Anniversary Collection, what plans if any are being made for 2008?
- In the Betrayal on Felucia Battlepack, why wasn't the corrected or more movie accurate variation of Commander Bly with brown accents used?
- Will you ever be rereleasing the Geonosian Starfighter, perhaps as a repaint? The ship had only a small release in a non-movie line and could use a rerelease. If so, is there anything you can do to strengthen the droopy dual-nose issue? This is a great mold with a very nifty exclusive pilot figure, but that droopy nose thing detracts from this cool set.
- In the Ambush on Ilum Battlepack, the C-3PO figure is gold, but during this sequence in the Clone Wars cartoon he was the same gray colors he was in Attack of the Clones. Why was the figure chosen to be in the inaccurate gold? The vac-metallized gold costs more to make even so this seems to run counter to a main goal of the battle pack line. Will we see a running change in the correct colors, or will it stay wrong? If this is just another example of "it's what we had on hand", could you walk us through the decision-making process that ok's something inaccurate like this?
- Some collectors missed out on the Vintage-style figures and now must look to ebay and other wretched hives of scum and villainy for these fine figures. What is the likelihood of seeing any or all of those Vintage-style figures rereleased and getting more of collectors' money directly? (They'd prefer to give it to you rather than overpriced after-market guys.)
- Will we be getting a Geonosis Battle Droid and/or Commander in the Saga Legends line like the regular colored Commander?
- Why do hologram figures come with weapons when they're almost never shown using weapons in the holograms in the movies?
- Concerning Titanium Series 3" repaints, will the Titanium AT-RT get another release with a repainted green & brown driver the way the repainted Clone Swamp Speeder did with its pilots? And will we be seeing the Titanium AOTC Jedi Starfighter repainted in all the color schemes the figure scale one has come in (Clone Wars teal, Saesee Tiin's, Kit Fisto's), the way it is currently slated for a Plo Koon repaint?
- What are the chances of seeing mult-packs for the Titanium Series 3" vehicle line where the package can double as a play environment similar to the recent Galactic Heroes line's 3 battle packs? Concepts like multipacks of the Trench run, Battle above Endor, Battle above Coruscant, etc., with play environment packaging and the appropriate repacked vehicles.
- The movie scene photo on the back of The Saga Collection #50 Naboo Soldier's card shows characters in red versions of the same uniform, was this considered for a variation during production, or perhaps will we be seeing it in an upcoming year?
- The Snowspeeder has only been an exclusive item in the past two releases for it where prior releases were regular mass-retail. Why the exclusivity and accompanying higher pricepoint on this vehicle? If it's due to its somewhat large size compared to other vehicles, could it be scaled down to accurate proportions (since it is actually a little too large as-is) and released in the $20 line?
- Many fans feel that the Super Articulated Clone Trooper mold from the ROTS line is the best version of this figure, however there are several problems with the sculpt that continue to show up including: upside-down belt packs, one elbowpad strap smaller than the other, different-heights on the knee joints and a 1mm variance from the left to right upper leg leading to leaning figures, and an asymmetrical "cheek" sculpt on the helmet. Will these issues ever be addressed on future figures?
- Will Hasbro be re-releasing the straight sections of the cantina bar in the near future to coincide with the release of the curved end pieces coming out? If so, please consider re-releasing the blue Snaggletooth from the K-Mart exclusive as well.
- Why didn't the Kashyyyk Elite Corps Clone Trooper from The Saga Collection come with the long blaster rifle the figure is shown holding on the figure photo on the back of the card? That is the weapon a number of these troopers sported in the movie, yet the figure only comes with the Biker Scout pistol and the Clone Trooper blaster pistol.
- Why have there been so few Ep 2 & 3 Anakin figures with accurate likenesses of Hayden Christensen?
- The Titanium Series line has shared its space with Battlestar Galactica license for some time now with much success. Can you give us a hint as to your plans for the future of this license? Also, what happened to the plans for the Titanium Forged Figure of the Cylon Centurion?
- Are there folks today at Hasbro who were working on the Star Wars line back when it was reborn in 1995? Was there any clue behind-the-scenes back then that the Star Wars toy line would garner such a huge adult collector following? Were adult collectors considered at all on any level back then when forging the line's beginnings? What do you folks think of the extensive adult collector enthusiasm for the line today, 12 years later?
- Recently, you were quoted about a Battle Pack with 2 figures and 2 speederbikes as saying it "is not part of the same Battle Pack line that is at all retailers. We are open to thinking of figure/vehicle packs like this for ideas further down the road. Stay tuned…" and we've since also seen the Bantha/Tusken Raiders Battle Pack that fits within the concept. With Toy Fair now behind us, what are some plans for these future non-traditional Battle Packs?
- In the rumored upcoming TRU exclusive Geonosis beasts pack which supposedly includes the Acklay, Reek and Nexu, would the Nexu and Reek retain their electronic sounds or would those features be absent? Also, would the Acklay's weak legs problem be fixed so that it can stand on its own, along with the irregular jointing of the hips where some move vertically and others move horizontally (adding ratcheting swivels to the legs just below the universal-joints would probably solve this)? And will there figures included in this set as well as creatures, and if so which ones?
- Similar to the Toys R Us exclusive AT-ST that came with a speeder bike, have you ever thought about doing a vehicle multipack? Getting two or three vehicles in one package would be awesome. How about a pair of X-wings?
- Why is it that Hasbro produces some vehicles that are incredibly difficult, even impossible, to fit regular figures inside such as the Ep 1 Flash Speeder, or Ep 2 Zam's & Anakin's Speeder?
- Will the troop-builder clones from the Order 66 2-packs, Treachery on Saleucami Battle Pack, Betrayal on Felucia Battle Pack, and Mace Windu's Attack Battalion Battle Pack ever be released as basic figures?
- Will Anakin's Jedi Starfighter and the regular Jedi Starfighter from the Clone Wars line ever be re-released? How about the ROTS green Anakin and blue Obi-Wan Jedi Starfighters?
- Twice during the prequels, a vehicle toy's MSRP was dropped significantly without any changes to its mold - the first being the Episode I Naboo Royal Starship which went from $100 to $50, and the second being the Republic Gunship which in the Saga line was $40 but subsequent releases were $30. What were the causes of these price drops? Why hasn't this happened with other vehicles in similar high pricepoints?
- Why are basic carded figures so much more expensive in relation to battle packs that have 5 figures in them? A battle pack which MSRPs for $19.99 and has 5 figures, or 4 plus a larger accessory of some kind, costs less than 3 carded figures (who MSRP at $6.99 a piece). Any chance that the MSRP might be dropping on the single basic carded figures in the near future?
- For Star Wars' 30th anniversary this year, the US Postal Service painted hundreds of mailboxes to look like R2-D2. Might Hasbro create a figure of R2-D2 as a mailbox to commemorate this quirky postal tribute, perhaps a 2-pack with Major Derlin as a mailman (since Derlin was played by John Ratzenberger who for 11 years portrayed know-it-all mailman Cliff Clavin on the sitcom Cheers)?
- Now that you've redone many of the ESB Bounty Hunters, such as the upcoming IG-88, Bossk, and rumored 4-LOM, when will we be getting an all new Zuckuss?
- With there being so much competition in regards to high end collecting with other licensees, has Hasbro considered perhaps making the figures' accessories out of metal like the already established saber hilts from the 2002 Saga line? (This was even recently used again with the reissued Sith Training Darth Maul from the end of the TSC line.) They could also do it this time with blasters and other non-lightsaber accessories as well.
- Fans are enjoying the characters' artistic renderings featured on the TAC card fronts, is there any chance we'll be seeing something like a poster containing all this art, perhaps as a giveaway through conventions or the official Star Wars site or Hasbro.com? It would make a great display piece.
- Hasbro still seems to be focusing a lot on Revenge of the Sith. If the Target-exclusive Order 66 packs do well, would Hasbro consider making similar packs based on Attack of the Clones? For example, a clone trooper in each pack with either a Jedi or a Separatist force?
- The new Clone Trooper and Rebel Trooper role-play blasters are pretty cool and seem to be selling fairly well out of the gate. With that in mind, will Hasbro be offering more role-play weapons such as all-new sculpts of Han's blaster, the Stormtrooper blaster (with more accurate size and folded stock under the barrel), Biker Scout pistol, and perhaps even larger ones like the Hoth Rebel rifle and Clone Trooper long rifle?
- Why has it seemed that so many of the items high on fans' wish lists ("Snowbunny" Ilum Padme, the Senate Pod, and now Galactic Heroes Qui-Gon and Jar Jar) only see release in large, pricey multipack sets that contain many items that we either already have (such as the rest of the Galactic Heroes/Playskool Naboo set) or that are inferior quality (eg, the incorrect C-3PO from the Illum battlepack)? Given that the cost of developing molds would be the same whether they are released in this manner or on normal cards, why not release them as regular basic figures instead and most likely sell more of them at the original retail price (as opposed to clearance prices of as much as 75% off the original price, which so many of these sets wind up selling for) - and keep longtime collectors happy as well?
- She's been one of the most consistently-requested figures since the modern line began, she has far more screentime than Dengar and Bossk and IG-88, a prototype of her was even made for the original Kenner line. She was second runner-up in the ToyFare Fan Choice poll by only a small margin, she had more votes than any other movie character in the poll, and the 2 above her in the poll have already been confirmed to be made (as have Darth Malak, Hermi Odle, ROTJ Luke, Mara Jade, Kir Kanos, Clone Commander, Padme Ilum, and Commander Neyo who all got significantly less votes than Yarna, half of those 4 poll-losers there have even already been released). You obviously recognize some level of demand, based on your April Fools-style joke at 2006 San Diego Comic Con. So why is it that you will joke about collectors wanting a Yarna d'al Gargan figure, but have been unwilling in the past to produce this figure and will not confirm that you are committed to releasing this figure in the foreseeable future?
- Anakin, Padme, R2-D2, C-3PO, and now the moisture vaporator.... We have everything we need to make killer AOTC Lars homestead displays with one glaring exception: the Lars family itself - Cliegg, young Owen, and young Beru. Is this something that you plan to correct soon? If not or you can't talk about it yet, why the continued vagueness about these 3 characters for so long?
- Can we please have a new, more accurate Dr. Evazan figure? The original POTF2 Cinema Scene figure has been repainted a few times, but the sculpt is still among the least-accurate likenesses of any figure that's never enjoyed a full resculpt. After all, he's got dialog in the movie and an action scene, and it is Star Wars' 30th Anniversary.
- Some collectors are growing a little tired of seeing Darth Vader over and over, often lately just a reuse of a previously-existing figure. Might you ease up on the Vader releases, especially in Battle Packs and pack-ins?
- With several figures from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series and an entire wave dedicated to SW: Force Unleashed coming in the next year or so, as well as rumors of multipacks dedicated to the SW: Battlefront series, and 2006's popular Scorch figure which led to an entire SW: Republic Commando boxed set, video games seem to be back on the radar. With that in mind, is there any possibility of getting figures from older video games such as SW: Bounty Hunter (Roz, Montross), SW: Clone Wars (Cydon Prax), SW: Revenge of the Sith (Claw Droids, Cin Drallig), SW: Jedi Knight (any of the Dark Jedi), even going back to SW: TIE Fighter (Marek Stele) or even Masters of the Teras Kasi (Arden Lyn, Jodo Kast)?
- Seeing as how we're getting obscure, non-canon figures in the Comic Packs such as the Dark Woman and Infinities Vader, what are the chances of getting figures from the early Marvel storyline about the Star-Hoppers from Aduba-3, particularly a figure of Jaxxon? You could even base their appearances off the cover of the Star Wars Gamer magazine from a few years ago that featured them, which showed many of them in a less cartoony way.
- In 2002, heavy pegwarming led several figures to be recalled. Will this happen again anytime soon, perhaps to remedy the problems of Moff Jerjerrod and Lushros Dofine which are still pegwarming hard nearly a year after their releases?
- Are we ever going to get a Octuptarra Droid? The best place to put one would either be in a Battle of Utapau or Clone Wars Battle of Coruscant Battle Pack.Vote now, and feel free to add new questions too. Thanks for participating!

'Fraid not, you can only vote for a question once per round, but there's no rule that says you can't campaign for others to vote for it.

Serious new question:

Why has it seemed that so many of the items that have been high on fans' wish lists ("Snowbunny" Padme, the Senate Pod, and now Galactic Heroes Qui-Gon and Jar Jar) only see release in large, pricey sets that contain many items that we either already have (such as the rest of the GH Naboo set) or that are inferior quality (eg, the incorrect C-3PO from the Illum battlepack)? Given that the cost of developing molds would be the same whether they are released in this manner or on normal cards, why not release them as individual figures instead and (most likely) sell more of them at the original retail price (as opposed to clearance prices of as much as 75% off the original price, which so many of these sets wind up selling for) -- and keep longtime collectors happy as an added bonus?

Question 57 added.

El Chuxter, you have 5 votes remaining.

Would it be asking too much if you guys campaigned in other threads or PM? Anywhere but here, only because it's very confusing to see posts with multiple vote numbers that aren't votes.

I'd like to submit a few new questions, if I may. They may border upon "beating a dead horse," but I think these guys may need their horses beaten. :)

She has been one of the most consistently requested figures since the new line began. A prototype was made for the original Kenner line. She was the runner-up in the Fan's Choice Poll by a margin of only 1.4%. You obviously recognize the demand, based upon your 2006 April Fool's joke at Comic-Con. Why is it that you will joke about collectors wanting a Yarna d'al Gargan figure, but seem totally unwilling to produce her?

Anakin, Padme, R2-D2, C-3PO, and now the moisture vaporator.... We have everything we need to make killer AOTC Lars homestead displays, with one glaring exception: the Lars family itself (Cliegg, young Owen, and young Beru). Without divulging any specifics, is this something that you plan to correct soon?

Every time we've asked about the Tonnika Sisters, we've been told that there's some sort of legal issue with their likeness. Given that everyone involved in the filming of Star Wars signed mountains of papers indicating otherwise, and these are the only two characters that this has ever been said about, it seems a bit unusual. Can you elaborate on exactly why there's an issue with the likenesses of both actresses?

Can we please have an updated, more accurate Dr Evazan? The original sculpt has been repainted a few times, but he still is the least accurate likeness of any figure that has not been totally resculpted.

4. - Are more properties aside from Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Marvel, and Transformers planned for the Titanium Series brand?

19. - Understanding you don't want to divulge specific figures, can you tell us how many (if any) figures in the 30th Anniv. line will have running-change variant figures, a la The Saga Collection Endor Rebel Soldiers?

Questions 58-60 added.

Question 13 is in danger of being cut due to an answer Hasbro gave on the GI Joe Q&A this week:
Cool Toy Review:
Question: Has Hasbro considered a "Galactic Heroes" type of line for GI Joe (ARAH)?
Hasbro: Rebuilding our 3.75" business with our Anniversary line is currently our top priority. Once we have re-engaged Joe vs. Cobra fans with the brand, we will be open to exploring many different expressions of the fantasy.
If you believe there's a way to salvage the question, please LMK within 7 days.

Chuxter, you have 2 votes left.

By the way, this is the last round of questions Hasbro will be accepting for a whole month due to Celebration IV and the Labor Day holiday.

I'd like to submit a few new questions, if I may. They may border upon "beating a dead horse," but I think these guys may need their horses beaten. :)Heh heh, that sounds dirty.

That needed modification because Hasbro didn't say they wouldn't produce her, here's the answer SSG got on Oct 6th:
Q: What are the chances that Hasbro will make Yarna D'al Gargan (Fat Dancer in Jabba's Palace) in 2007, after 2007, or if definitively not, has Hasbro actively decided that she will never be made?
A: We won't be answering any more specific questions on the 2007 line at this time. However, she is definitely a possible future figure. Not out of the question.

Also, because you gave that 1.4% margin comment, I went and did the research (turns out she was the second runner up, that margin separated her from first runner up by 1.4% but not from the top) and noticed something else, so I bolstered that part of the question pointing out how many other poll-losers are already confirmed or released as figures (8 others, half of which are already in our hands).

As you can see below from every mention of the Tonnikas in this Q&A's 10 month period (minus a question on SSG where they flat-out ignored that part), they have said nothing of the sort concerning legal issues. As you can see, there is something else going on here, and "no comment" answers from Hasbro are a waste of our time so I'm not adding the question as it is, though if you can think of a way to work it out so it won't meet the wall, give it another try.
June 23rd, SSG:
Q: Does Lucasfilm have the rights to the likeness for the Tonnika Sisters (ANH cantina patrons), and if so is there plans to create figures? A: Thanks for the question, but that's not something we can comment on right now.
Oct 27th:
FFURG.com: When George Lucas had Carrie Fisher and the other stars sign over their likeness for all LFL products, Carrie was quoted as saying that she couldn't look in the mirror without paying George royalties. Yet, when collectors asked about the long-desired Tonnika Sisters, we've gotten the response that there are "complications" with release of the likeness of one or both of the actresses. Does this mean LFL does not own the likeness to every character and actor within the movies? In the case of the TSC Endor Soliders, did Hasbro have to release royalties for John Doe who played "Endor Trooper #15" in ROJ?

Hasbro: We can't/won't comment on these issues.
Sept 29th:
Rebelscum.com: As a follow-up to several fan/collector questions regarding if and when particular figures will be made and released, are there any figures fans have been asking about that you can confirm will not be made based on current policies? What I mean is, can you say unequivically that the Tonnika sisters simply cannot be made or can you clear the air on these figures and tell us that they can be made but they just don't fit into the line-up at this time? While I specify the Tonnika sisters, I am also curious about any others that fans have asked for that you may know for a fact that (unless there are drastic legal or philosophical changes) the figure won't be made. You mentioned earlier that figures of dead figures/corpses are a hard sell. Does this mean we won't get a dead Owen and Beru Lars two-pack or simply that it would be really difficult to have someone approve these as a toy? If it's the latter, please refer them to George Lucas's own thoughts on this, "YODA: Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is." In short, Lucas wants us to have our corpse figures.

Hasbro: Hah, that's good Dan. However persuasive your argument is, there is a long, long list of living figures that deserve to be made before we get to figures like the Owen and Beru "x-tra crispy" figures. It's possible that some day these could be accessories to another set, but that would be far down the road and in any case wouldn't be the focus of any offering per se. There are no specific figures that are taboo or off limits, really. As for the Tonnika Sisters, I have no comment whatsoever and can give no more information on them except to say that figure(s) are not in development.
June 30th:
TheJawa: Will the Tonnika Sisters ever be made?

Hasbro: Hopefully, but there's no timeline.

Can we please have an updated, more accurate Dr Evazan? The original sculpt has been repainted a few times, but he still is the least accurate likeness of any figure that has not been totally resculpted.Dang, how is it nobody's asked this yet? I just checked my list, it's not there. I'll add it to our poll, and I'm gonna milk the "30th anniversary" angle there because it's a fair point to bring up and hopefully will garner extra sympathy.

Can you please quit releasing so many Darth Vaders, especially in Battle Packs?

LMK if the question doesn't fit your meaning. I wanted to round it out a little and may be stepping outside what you have in mind.

Much clearer than what I wrote. My intent was to encompass the battlepacks, coin holder, Father's day pack, and the multiple other carded Vaders.

Can I get you to edit all my posts for clarity before they are posted?:D;)

Sure, $30 an hour. ;)

I'll add "pack-ins" to the question.

JT, I referred to Yarna as the runner-up because, although she ranked third, Hasbro reps said they "disqualified" the first place winner, as he was already in the works.

I hate to do this, but can I add two more questions?

With figures from the Knights of the Old Republic and Battlefront series planned for this year, and Force Unleashed figures planned for next, is there any possibility of getting figures from older video games, such as Bounty Hunter (Roz and Montross), Clone Wars (Cydon Prax), Revenge of the Sith (Claw Droids, Cin Drallig), even going back to TIE Fighter (Marek Stele) or Masters of Teras Kasi (Arden Lyn, Jodo Kast)?

Not sure if you'll ask this one, but I'll pose it anyway:
Why the secrecy about upcoming plans? While, understandably, you want to keep some surprises, there are generally enough figures in an average year to allow for such announcements at major events and still let a few cats out of the bag.

I vote for 57, 58, 59, 60.

JediTricks, did we ever ask a question about whether or not they intend to use the McQuarrie R2,3P0, and Luke molds that are currently "exclusives" later on this year?

I voted for the Yarna question, but I had debated asking this one instead:

We could not be happier that Hasbro has pledged to make Captain Needa by the end of 2008. Are you willing to make a similar pledge to make Yarna d'al Gargan by the end of 2008 or 2009?

Heck, JediTricks, I talked myself into it. I vote for that question.

I'm not sure that we need to ask 50. The Battlepacks only require the cost for designing and printing the packaging once. Each carded figure would entail the same design/printing cost as one Battlepack. (Plus they keep throwing the stupid coins in.)

There have been quite a few good new questions since I voted, but I'll let my votes stand as they are and I'll rethink things next week. In that vein, here are some more questions:

*Seeing as how we're getting obscure, non-canon figures in the Comic Packs, such as the Infinities Darth Vader, what are the chances that you'll make figures from the early Marvel storyline about the Star-Hoppers from Aduba-3, particularly Jaxxon? You could even base their appearances off the cover of the Star Wars Gamer magazine that featured them a few years ago, which showed many of them in a less cartoony way.

*In 2002, heavy pegwarming led several figures to be recalled. Will this happen again anytime soon, perhaps to remedy the problems of Moff Jerjerrod and Lushros Dofine, which are still pegwarming hard nearly a year after their releases?

JT, I referred to Yarna as the runner-up because, although she ranked third, Hasbro reps said they "disqualified" the first place winner, as he was already in the works.Well, that doesn't change the poll results, it's not like Vos didn't get 11.4% of the vote either way.

Not sure if you'll ask this one, but I'll pose it anyway:
Why the secrecy about upcoming plans? While, understandably, you want to keep some surprises, there are generally enough figures in an average year to allow for such announcements at major events and still let a few cats out of the bag.First off, they do let some proverbial cats out of the bag in these Q&As and through other media like ToyFare magazine. As for an answer, I think they've already touched on that:
Dec 8th
JediDefender.com: What's been the biggest learning point that you've taken away from participating in the first 20 Q&A sessions? Has there been anything in particular that made you sit back and think, "wow, those crazy collectors are really after product X?" Have there been any specific products set into motion for 2008 or beyond based on the collective Q&A input?
Hasbro: Interesting question. If anything, it has been that our intuition and interest in expanding into the EU definitely struck a vein of fan interest and the large number of EU-related questions have enabled us to think as broadly as possible about the prospects and think about other opportunities. Another thing we have taken away is that beyond the EU, we think that we have been constructing the whole line in a way that touches upon many, if not all, of the specific sub-classes of figures and themes that fans like at least as far as the figure and vehicle selection goes that fans have been asking about. If fans are asking detailed questions that is good for us and helps us think more deeply about things. Of course, the hardest thing about the Q&A is holding ourselves back a bit in our answers and not "spilling the beans" about the exciting things we have coming out. We prefer to keep things as close to the vest as possible so we have new things to talk about, and not have the line gradually revealed all the way until the end of 2008.
Dec 1st
Rebelscum.com: Back at the start of the modern line of 3.75" figures Hasbro (well, probably then Kenner) used to post design sketches of the figures (front, back, and side view) on their website along with a photo of the finished product. I LOVED this feature, as it was interesting to see how the figure was conceptualized as well as how it changed (if applicable) along its path to finished product. This has also been done with a number of the Fan's Choice figures. Might there be a chance to see some "behind-the-scenes" sketches on current/upcoming figures on your site? With the vast improvement and sophistication of articulation (thank you!) has the design process changed? Has the process of developing a figure shifted from drawings on paper to something else?
Hasbro: The process itself is still very similar but involves more tech, as you might guess (drafting onto a pad vs paper in many cases), but the essential input remains the same. It's just a matter of time and priorities regarding getting this out on the website, and partly, it's a victim of wanting to try and hold some new product news as close to the vest as possible (on Star Wars, the ability to surprise and excite is challenging!). We have been prioritizing other types of content for the website, and since the process of how figures are produced has been told before, we didn't think there was a lot of new news there.

JediTricks, did we ever ask a question about whether or not they intend to use the McQuarrie R2,3P0, and Luke molds that are currently "exclusives" later on this year? No, I struck it because Hasbro confirmed they're exclusive and not going to be reused before the question deadline hit, so I pulled the question and refunded the votes. Now we have a couple other sites Q&As this week that did ask it and got the same answers:
TheJawa.com: The Celebration 4/Celebration Europe exclusive McQuarrie concept C-3PO and R2-D2 figures have been unveiled and they look great. Can collectors who are unable to attend either event expect to see these figures available online through Hasbro Toy Shop or Star Wars Shop?
Hasbro: There are no plans to make the droids available other than at Celebration IV, right now at least (the same goes for the Europe version). Gencon (the group organizing Celebration) is the actual retailer for this product, not Hasbro, so they are setting the strategy for their own exclusive. However, the McQuarrie Luke is a HasbroToyShop.com exclusive, so we have more control over that. If we do make it available online through HasbroToyShop.com, it won't be for some months after the Convention unless there is leftover Convention inventory.
and
SWcollector.com: From DarthZirock: Collectors seem quite up in arms over the McQuarrie Signature Series R2-D2 & C-3PO Concept figures being released as exclusives for Celebration IV in Los Angeles and Celebration Europe in London. While the figures will have event-specific coins and cardbacks, will they eventually be released to the general public in nonexclusive form?

Heck, JediTricks, I talked myself into it. I vote for that question. That question is too shaky for me to ask, I was going to include it and let the voters decide which Yarna question to ask, but then I realized that Hasbro hasn't "pledged" that Needa would be made, only said it'd be a "good bet" they'd make him in the next 2 years (likely because he's already slated, but not solid enough to go forward with that inference) and that's not similar enough for me to take it to Hasbro and say "do this the same way with Yarna".

I'm not sure that we need to ask 50. The Battlepacks only require the cost for designing and printing the packaging once. Each carded figure would entail the same design/printing cost as one Battlepack. (Plus they keep throwing the stupid coins in.)That's a good point, and it's one I considered when I added the question. The real reason I left the question themed the way it was is because the carded figures are the main focus, not the BPs. BPs also don't have to create as many new molds and paint masks which is a major savings.

The coins, BTW, are "value enhancers", they don't raise the cost much but are meant to offset consumer's perception that with the price increase comes more product.

Will we be getting any new Neimoidian figures in 2008, like say ROTS Nute Gunray or ROTS Rune Haako? They've already touched on this one a few times:
SSG, Dec 1st
Q: Since two recent Neimoidian figures (Neimoidian Warrior and Lushros Dofine) were extremely heavy pegwarmers, and the Episode I Neimoidians sold slowly as well, how does that affect the chances of more Neimoidian figures being made in the future?
A: We will do the occasional one every once in while, but we will carefully manage the volume. They are not off the table, but are like Senators... every once in a while we should be doing one to keep that theme active.

ActionFigs.com, Sept 1st
Are you planning on releasing any new Separatist Leader figures in 2007?
We'll be filling the "alien" slots with other figures next year. But fans of the Nemoidians (and other Separtists) neededn't worry…. we do have plans to rotate them into future lines. Of course, this is always subject to change.
Dec 15th
SWcollector.com: Wondered if you were doing any more Galactic Senate figures? Would really like to see from Episode III a Cellheim Anujo figure and Tundra Dowmeia.
Hasbro: With so many cool themes to choose from that have high collector affinity, the Senate is one of those themes, along with Nemoidians, that is "in the mix" but not the highest on the list right now. Over the next couple of years we will be getting to them occasionally, but they won't be too prolific. Hopefully the occasional one will keep those shelf dios active.
If you think there's wiggle room to get your question in, LMK how you think it'll work and how we can buffer it from receiving the same kind of answer.

Questions 58, 62 modified.

58's change: A post in another thread reminded me that she got the most votes of any movie character in the poll, so I added that to the list of reasons why she deserves better. I didn't word it as well as I would have liked, but I couldn't think of another way to put it.

62's change: I realized that Scorch and the Republic Commando set would bolster the argument, so I added 'em.

18. - Any chance of ever seeing the Ultra Battle Droid made that appears in the Clone Wars Adventures Volume 1 comic story Heavy Metal Jedi?

24. - What are the chances of getting the Scorpenek Annihilator Droid from the New Essential Guide to Droids?

31. - Will we be getting a Geonosis Battle Droid and/or Commander in the Saga Legends line like the regular colored Commander?

SW action news got question 41 partially answered this week. They said that the cylon was only produced in limited numbers and won't be available unless picked up as an exclusive.

It might still be worth asking the question (if selected) though. The more they hear that a people want it, the more likely they may be to pursue its release. Also, they did not address any future plans for other BSG toys.
