Hey all,
This one snuck up on me. I didn't realize there was going to be a new Biggs pilot version coming out. I figured if we got the lost new hope version, that would be it.
I thought I'd take some pictures and share my thoughts:

Enjoy!

Nice notes. I'm still on the fence on getting this Biggs, but I probably will, since its an upgrade to the POTF2 version. Hope to see him on store pegs sometime...

Biggs is "the Figure of the Wave" winner for me, narrowly edging Concept Boba. Nice review, and super job with the pics.

Biggs is a very nice figure. Miles ahead of the POTJ one...I just wish he had ball jointed elbows.....

The new Biggs is great! Yes, ball joint elbows would have been better but still a great figure.
Cant wait for Academy Biggs!

They should have changed the arms completely, that's the only thing I really think fails with this figure, they should have put in universal-jointed shoulders and at least diagonal-swivel elbows.

Nice review Engineernerd!
I'm on the fence about this one. The older version isn't perfect by a long shot, but I'm at this point where I'm becoming less and less interested in replacing older figures with newer ones, if the old version is decent.
I have no problem with displaying a bunch of pilot figures together that look different because they were made at different times. Gives my collection a kind of "time line" look... helps me to remember how much fun I had collecting at any given time. (Heck, at one point I wasn't going to buy figures of characters that had been done in the vintage line. ) With Hasbro revamping everything, I look at what I have and think, "Okay, did I buy that one because it was great, or did I only buy it because it was new?"
The new Biggs pilot figure looks great though, so I'm not sure what I'll do when I see one hanging there at some point. (Still haven't spotted this one in person.)

I have to say I've passed on a good number of figures myself lately because I have 10 versions of them already. Darth Vader is a great example. I don't really need another one. There should maybe at most be one a year, but I can think of three for sure this year. I'm picking and choosing now that's for sure.
