I'd love these:

Ultron
Black Widow
Mystique
Doc Samson
These from your list are at least coming according to Wal-Mart computers.

Also, Marvel.Com has a feature up about the Hulk SHS series.

Wave II should be starting to show up in stores any day now.

Some good news. Anyone who missed Black Cat, Puma, and Mysterio when they were released last year... they're back in stock at Hasbro Toy Shop. So maybe this gives us hope of seeing Beast/Iceman and others again soon.

Entertainment Earth confirmed the 3rd Wave of Hulk SHS today.

Grey Hulk & Leader
Hulk & Zzzax
Red Hulk & Doc Sampson
Hulk & Son Of Hulk

Some SHS news from the various Q&A's showing up right now.

Glad that we're finally getting some news, since so many people have been foaming at the mouth waiting for Professor Xavier and Shadowcat w/ Lockheed to be released. Sounds like we won't be getting Collector's Pack #2. But we may be getting at least some of the figures from it. Hopefully for those who missed Series IV Beast he's in there also.

From Toymania's Q&A with Hasbro.

5. Any chance of a Superhero Squad boxset featuring the 90s X-Men Animated characters and designs (Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Professor X)?

Answer: There will be a cool new boxset coming out late in the Fall (at Toys R Us) that will feature an X-Mansion theme. It isn't specifically 90's, but it does feature Professor X, Kitty with Lockheed and 6 other X-Men faves. You'll get your 1st look at this one at SDCC this week!

http://www.toymania.com/news/messages/10479.shtml

And from Cool Toy Review Q&A with Hasbro:

Cool Toy Review: Will there be any play sets in the future for super hero squad figures. a xmen jet, danger room , avengers mansion, etc. I also wanted to say thanks because my son really like these guys and it is so cool to hear him play with them and hear him talk about all there powers it really brings me back to when i used to collect comics.

Hasbro: Love to hear it! Sharing the whole Marvel Universe with the youngest of fans is the best part of the Squad line. That's why we recently added the bio bursts to the back of every package - so that parents and kids alike could learn about the super powers for each and every figure. For 2008, there's a new Hulk themed gamma playset hitting Toys R Us stores right about now. There will also be a lot of great items coming out for the Squad brand in 2009, but we can't give those details away just yet.

A very cool look at how much Marvel is pushing the Superhero Squad brand at SDCC. This is a massive display that is part of the Marvel Booth, which is hyping not only the Hasbro toy line, but also the upcoming Animated Series and the Video Game. Mike aka "SDComics" from AFI snapped the pic today. Cannot wait. :D

Regardless of what the above Q&A seemed to indicate, Hasbro did go ahead with simply releasing the originally planned 'Collector's Pack #2'. Which is great, since I didn't want to lose out on any of the retools and repaints. Can't wait for Xavier and Shadowcat w/ Lockheed. And that vac metal Silver Surfer is the shiz. The only one who isn't as much of a big deal anymore is Spider-Man. The rest rock.

I'm new to this list. From what I've seen so far, it'll be a tremendous help and support for me in my collecting.

I started out with just the Spider-man figures, for my son. I haven't read a comic book in years, I stopped when they got too expensive and storylines started getting confusing and complicated. I've gone into comic shops now and again, and thumbed through the latest issues of my former favorites, and don't even recognize them any more, they've changed so much.

I started reading comics in the early 60s as a pre-teen, and would have been thrilled to have had the SHS figures back then! So in addition to buying the Spider-man figures for my son, the inner child in me is making me collect my own set of figures! I'm "old school", and really into groups, so I have the 4 original Fantastic 4 members (and the other characters that came with them); the original Avengers (Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Wasp, Antman, and Hawkeye -- missed getting Vision, and waiting for them to come out with Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch, Hercules, Black Knight and Wonder Man to complete "Wave 2" of Avengers!); the Defenders (Dr. Strange, Hulk, Namor, Silver Surfer -- wish they would come out with Valkyrie, and glad to see Nighthawk is coming soon); and my favorite group, the X-men! I have Cyclops & Magneto, Phoenix & Wolverine, Angel & Colossus, Storm, Sabertooth, but missed Rogue & Gambit, Iceman & Beast, and Nightcrawler & Juggernaut. Too expensive shopping for them on eBay, so just biding my time until they do a re-release maybe? Excited about upcoming Prof. X & Kitty Pryde and Rachel, and hoping for Havok & Polaris, Banshee, and maybe Thunderbird and Sunfire. Jubilee & Cannonball would be cool too.

As for Spider-man, still waiting for that Kraven figure, and glad to see Electro coming out to complete the Sinister Six (with Doc Ock, Mysterio, Sandman & Vulture). And YES!!! At last, Mary Jane!!! (What, no Aunt May or J. Jonah Jameson???) I just wish they would quit double packaging all the villains with Spidey! I have more Spideys than I know what to do with now!

Sorry to be so long-winded in my first post, but just excited to find someplace to discuss this wonderful series of collectibles!

That's the movieverse one you're referring to, I believe.

In the movie Iron Man's gloves were heavy black insulated gloves.

Since the armor was made up of whatever was available, they were probably for metal forging.

Hasbro has new pics of Mega Packs of Ult Hulk and Ult Wolverine and Galactus with a new version of Mr Fantastic. The Wolverine is one of the best so far!

I just found this today. It is so funny to read the history of these things. I can't even imagine finding a Rouge or Storm in Wal-Mart. My son and I have had to pay a premium on ebay for a large part of our collection. We just started collecting in May with the Iron Man sets.

I am hoping to win a Dr Strange, Antman today on ebay.

I really want Blade and Punisher. Also the pics of Iron Monger at SDCC are awesome. Think I might have smashed the glass and did a grab and run for that one. (for my son, of coarse!)

Thanks for the heads up. Both Mega Packs look great.

Nice to see they actually went with the more classic colors on the Galactus repaint. The last one was purple and blue instead of pink and purple. And I love the metallic paints being used. And finally, a 616 Mr. Fantastic.

Also love the Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine set. Heh, it's still darn funny as hell that the comic is getting a pair of figures way before it's even completed due to all the delays. I wonder if Wolverine will rip in half?

Marvelous News has new Hi-Res pics of the 3rd Wave of the Iron Man 4-Packs.

Iron Monger Attacks (1st Appearance Iron Man, Iron Monger, War Machine, Iron Man)
The Danger Of Dreadknight (Dreadknight, Zhang Tong (Mandarin), Stealth Armor Iron Man, Iron Man)

http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11649

Really love both sets. A huge improvement on the 2nd Wave, which featured a lot of prepaints. The Iron Monger set appears to be primarily movie based, judging by the designs. But the real star is the Dreadknight pack. I wonder how come they couldn't use the Mandarin name though. Maybe it's just for PC reasons? It's amusing when you think about it, that due to the nature of SHS, Mandarin can't have all 10 rings with his four fingered hands. ;)

But here's a pic of Wave 3. Oddly enough someone find some of them in a store already, even though they weren't in the computer system. Makes me wonder if it's some sort of shipping mix-up. Wish there was more new about the sets. Shame that we didn't get a Red Hulk with Doc Samson after all.

Just search on Superhero Squad and you should find them.

Finally found Wave 2 of the Hulk SHS figures today at K-Mart.

Even better, they had a Buy 1 get 1 50% Off on Hulk toys going on. So I only paid $19.04 for all 4. Given there's a number of repaints in the wave, the price makes me much happier than if I had paid full price. No clue why they stuck so many repaints in Wave 2, and so many new figures in Wave 3.

Hulk and Absorbing Man is a pretty good set. However it does suffer from a few problems. Hulk only features waist and head articulation, but due to his pose the waist articulation is pretty much useless. That happens a bit too often in this line, but what can you do. Absorbing man is really nice, other than featuring only one point of articulation. His hand holding the ball and chain, which somewhat limits his poseability. I do like the choice of the grey and purple striped prison pants though. Even though I'm unsure if they appeared in the comics.

King Hulk and Black Bolt while being a great set, has some serious faults. The King Hulk figure is a slight repaint of the figure that came in Hulk Wave 1, which came packed in with the Hulkbuster Iron Man. King Hulk's fleshtone is a slightly darker green and his armor is now dull silver instead of shiny. The figure most folks will be buying the set for is Black Bolt, but he's not exactly spectacular. He features no articulation what so ever, however the sculpt and paintjob is fantastic otherwise. Hopefully we'll see a better Black Bolt somewhere down the line.

The Wolverine and Gray Hulk set is another of the occassional 'Repaint Sets' that Hasbro uses to help cost out figure waves. Wolverine's a repaint of the Wave 1 Wolverine that came with Sabretooth. This time the blue parts of his costume have been given a blue metallic paintjob. The Gray Hulk is also a repaint, this time of the Hulk from the Wave 1 set that came with a Hulkbuster. It's not a "necessary" set, but it is a nice one.

The Thing and She-Hulk set is also really nice. Thing is a bit short, but it works okay with the hunched pose that he's in. Love the sculpt that they used for him, will look good when we get some different Mr. Fantastics and Invisible Womans to make different team eras. She-Hulk however, while she's a nice figure I don't really like the attached beam. It makes it so that her arm articulation is effectively useless. Since it's unlikely that you're going to pose her any other way but with her arms over her head to support the beam.

Looks like the Hulk Wave 3 is officially up at hasbro. Too bad there are so many repaints. The same thing with the wave for Mystique and Weapon X Wolverine. The last thing I need (I mean "my son needs") is more spider-men.
Something tells me that Mystique is going to be one that you need to grab right away when you can get it. Another Rouge or Ice-man.

I hope the next Iron Man wave hits stores before Christmas.

Anyone hear anything on 'City in Crisis' and 'Winter Soldier Saga'? I thought they were supposed to start shipping on Aug 20.

The store near my house all got a huge shipment of the last 3 waves. Tons of Deadpool/Punisher, Doc Ock/Black Suited Spider-man, Cap America/Cable, Ghost Rider/Flame Cycle, etc. Wonder if Hasbro is trying to unload all of those in prep for all of the new ones???

Beast

Yeah, mentioned it being up a few posts ago. I've come to accept that we're going to see a couple repaints/repacks in waves. Since it allows them to cost out the waves better so that they don't have to start raising the price. Frankly they need to start repainting and repacking some of the harder to find figures though.

My guess is that Iron Man Wave 3 will start hitting sometime around the end of September in time for the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the movie. Especially since one of the 4-packs is movie based.

Haven't heard anything about the release of the next two 4-Packs of yet. Shouldn't be too much longer I would assume. But none have turned up on Ebay as of late. Hopefully they go back up for sale soon.

Good point. We get a ton of Spider-man and Wolverine, but it would be nice to see another Storm, Rouge, Iceman, She-Hulk or Vulture. Toss a Kraven repaint in with one of the Spider-man poses and repaint him in the Black Suit.

Looking forward to the Shocker that was diaplayed in SD. Now we just need a Chameleon to round out the Incidious Six.

Well, Storm and Black Panther are being repainted with white accents in the upcoming New Fantastic Four 4-Pack. So that at least gets those out there for those who missed them. Beast was repacked with flocked fur in the Apocalypse Mega Pack. And Iceman is being repainted in a somewhat 1st appearance look with yellow boots and speedo in the upcoming TRU Collector's Pack. I'm sure we'll see some more eventually.

As for Kraven, he was never released. There are a few that were snatched off the production lines as always happens. But I'm betting we'll see him released at some point. Maybe in '09, if we're lucky.

So what's the word on the series 5 spider-man sets? Is Vulture really that hard to find, or has that set just not been distributed enough yet? Also, has anyone substantiated the rumors about Collector's pack 2? I find it hard to believe that they are out there when they haven't popped up on ebay yet.

Wave 5 of the Spider-Man SHS figures only showed up at Wal-Mart stores. Which makes the Vulture and Sandman sets pretty HTF in most respects. Probably two of the rarest sets. Oddly enough, these sets were only included in endcap display trays for Wal-Mart, which is why they got distributed at all. However the Kraven set that was also planned for Wave 5 wasn't included in these displays, so therefor never came out at all.

And yes, I've seen loose pictures of Collector's Pack 2 on the SHS forum. They're out there.

The new Iron Man 4-Packs come with new Super Hero Squad posters. There's three different posters to collect, though oddly the person who found them said all three were in each box. An Avengers vs. Skrulls one, a Spider-Man themed one, and a Hand Ninjas vs. Various Heroes one. The back shows all the 2008 releases.

The Spider-Man Saves The Day and Winter Soldiers packs are shown, as well as the next 4-Packs after that. Super Teams: New Fantastic Four with repaints of Storm, Black Panther, Human Torch, and Thing. And Super Teams: The Defenders with Nighthawk (New), Silver Surfer (Chrome), Hulk (Repaint), and Gargoyle (New). Hopefully those 4 4-Packs will show up soon. Hopefully the New Fantastic Four set will fill the need people have for Storm.

What's the SHS forum? I haven't been there yet.

I'm really surprised Collector's Pack 2 is really out there. Usually the scalpers have that stuff listed on ebay the same day.

Well, I guess I'll add the Vulture and Sandman sets to my buy 'em when I see 'em list. I'm a completist, so I may have to pay scalper prices on these.

Thanks to Ash Talon for bringing this to my attention on another forum.

But it appears that there will indeed be a seperate Wolverine line for Super Hero Squad next year.

From the info: "183620 Wolverine Heroes 4 Pa $10.99", it's clear they're going with 4-Packs like Iron Man. Which I'm glad about, after all the multiple Hulks in the Hulk 2-Packs.

Hopefully this means we'll see comic based packs like Iron Man as well. The 4-Packs would be a great place to fill some holes in regard to Wolverine and X-Men based figures.

Blob, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, a good Sabretooth, X-23, Jubilee, etc.

Super Hero Squad Collector's Pack #2 is apperantly out now. It's exclusive to Toys R Us and is just starting to show up in stores now. There's been reports of a few finds so far. It's certain we'll see more as time goes on. The only problem is that due to it being a Toys R Us exclusive, it's $29.99 just like Collector's Pack #1 was.

I picked up my Pack #2 yesterday at TRU! The packaging has an X-mansion theme, and includes the long-awaited Prof. X, Kitty Pryde w/ Lockheed the dragon, old-school Iceman, black-suited Juggernaut, Cyclops (same uniform as in the Mega Pack w/ Sentinel), brown-suited Wolverine, and then Spiderman hanging from the ceiling and Silver Surfer, which I don't know why they would include in an X-men themed package?!?

So they ARE out there now... I have already seen one Pack #2 on eBay, but it's gonna be expensive!

There was a couple Q&A questions about SHS on Kastor's Corner.

Kastor: Who are the artists/sculptors on the SHS line? Is it a team or an individual?

Hasbro: There's a pretty big Super Hero Squad team that includes lots of designers, sculptors, engineers, painters and the list goes on and on. For that reason we usually don't call out specific individuals. If we did it wouldn't be a short list, it would be more like film credits.

Kastor: You mentioned in the last Q&A that you had no new Squad Megas slated for the immediate future. Does that mean that Ultimate Hulk, Deco Galactus, and the rumored Wendigo and Mega Sandman were canceled?

Hasbro: A couple of the figures that you mentioned have been fully developed (Ultimate Hulk) and will still get used in the Squad line but not in the 2 pack format.

I managed to snag this one the other day so Santa wouldn't have a hard time finding it as Christmas gets closer ;). While I do like some of the figures in the pack, I am a bit underwhelmed at the price.

8 figures for $30 seems a bit high to me.

Here's the Squad specific questions from the various Q&A's with Hasbro.

More Superhero Squad news from the various Q&As...

ActionFigs: What is the current status of the Superhero Squad 'Spider-Man Saves The Day' and 'Winter Soldier Saga' 4-Packs? Initially they were scheduled to be released several months ago. However those who pre-ordered them from Hasbro Toy Shop have recently had their ordered cancelled. We've recently seen them turning up overseas, but nothing so far in the United States.

Hasbro: These 4 packs have been delayed but not cancelled. There simply isn't enough room at retail for these and the Iron Man Squad 4 packs.

ActionFigs: Many collectors are reporting great difficulty getting their hands on Superhero Squad Collector's Pack #2. Either their Toys R Us restocked with the original Collector's Pack or simply hasn't been getting any in of the new sets in. This is especially frustrating given the all new figures of Professor X and Shadowcat w/ Lockheed which are only available in the set. Is there any chance that the set could be offered online via Hasbro Toy Shop much like the Sand Pit Stand off was?

Hasbro: This item isn't slated for the HTS website right now, but these have been showing up on more and more TRU shelves over the past couple of weeks. Hopefully you've found one by the time you get this answer!

ActionFigs: In two years the Superhero Squad line has managed to deliver an incredibly large and diverse representation of the Marvel Universe. But there's still a few major holes in some of our teams. And while we hate to ask about specific characters, we just wanted to ask if any of the following were on tap for 2009? They would go a long way to filling out our teams.

Avengers: Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Wonder Man, Power Man, Iron Fist, Tigra.
X-Men: Havok, Polaris, Sunfire, Thunderbird, Emma Frost (Astonishing), Jubilee.

Hasbro: We like the specific questions, but as you know, we can't always be specific with our answers. Soooo, a couple of these are locks in 2009 but we can't tell you which ones yet. Here's what we want to know from you -what's your favorite Wonderman costume? Classic red & green or the bright red safari jacket? Maybe it's one of the others...let us know what you think.

Cool Toy Review: The Super Hero Squad line is still very popular, and I can't wait to see what characters get the cute & cuddly treatment next. Any hints of who is on deck?

Hasbro: How about this - a current Thunderbolt and a former Avenger who's status was active on both coasts. Discuss amongst yourselves.

Kastor: What happened to Super Hero Squad Kraven? Where is he? When will he be part of the line?

Hasbro: Kraven is extremely elusive by nature. We've been tracking him for over a year now…but once we find him he'll find his way back into the Squad lineup. We just have to find a place for him because 2009 is already jam packed with some crazy fan faves.

A little bit of early Toy Fair news for Super Hero Squad!

200+ Figures planned for 2009. And connectible Playsets! :D

If they come with pack-in figures, maybe we'll see Daily Bugle with J. Jonah Jameson. I'd be pretty damn happy with that.

plisnithus7

I think the Danger Room is a natural, with robot tentacles, saw blades, blasters, and other dangers; connectable to an X Mansion with cerebro unit. I bet Hasbro reuses parts of the Spider-man playset for an Avengers mansion. Then they'd want something for Hulk like a gamma base prison or similar Weapon X facility (with the Wolverine movie around the corner). An Asteroid M would be interesting. Vehicles like a Quinjet, Blackbird, or Fantasticar would surpass the Spider-man/Hulk ones we've had so far.

Cash on the Superhero Squad forum found some new SHS listings in the Wal-Mart computers.

714680 MVL WOL SLVR SAMURA
714752 MVL IRN MAN SPDWOMN
714785 MVL SHS HULK NOVA
717080 MVL SPDMN BULLSEYE
717090 MVL SHS SPDMN TIGRA
717098 MVL THRBSTER IM THOR
758905 MVL SHS DEATHLOK IR

Some cool sets coming up. Really impressed with some of the choices.

Wolverine & Silver Samurai. - Hoping for X-Force Wolverine. One of the few they haven't done. Very cool to see Silver Samurai get done in the line. Hopefully this is a positive sign for the inclusion in the Marvel Universe line.

Iron Man & Spider-Woman - I'm going to guess this will be a Secret Invasion themed pack. With Extremis Iron Man and a repoaint of Spider-Woman as the Skrull Queen. If so, I'm all for them featuring some current storylines in SHS.

Hulk & Nova - Hoping that it's either Professor Hulk or Mr. Fixit. Since those are two of the major versions of Hulk we haven't gotten yet. I assume Nova will be Richard Rider, not Frankie Raye. Though either will be cool.

Spider-Man & Bullseye - Well, I guess those people who guessed that Bullseye was on the way from Hasbro's teases win a cookie. I wish that the Spider-Man was actually a new Hawkeye though. Would be fitting, what with Dark Avengers.

Spider-Man & Tigra - Very cool that we're getting another classic Avenger that people have been asking for. Only wish instead of Spider-Man it was Wonder Man. Since we need him to finish the last incarnation of the Mighty Avengers.

Thorbuster Iron Man & Thor - Apperantly Iron Man was a big seller for Hasbro last year. So just like with the 6" line, we'll be seeing more sets with Iron Man every so often. Nice to get yet another new armor for the armory.

Deathlok & Ir (Iron Fist?) - Deathlok? Seriously? In Superhero Squad? I never thought I'd see the day. I thought he was an odd inclusion in ML. Never thought I'd see him in this line. I assume that Ir is Iron Fist, and not another Iron Man.

Some early news from the UK toy fair....

Tigra, Dreadknight, Avalanche, Dark Beast, Modern Havok, Logan & Bike, Tombstone. The Wolverine sets seem to be comic rather than movie based. There's also vehicles & playsets on the way, but they don't look promising.

Note: I'm not sure if the person actually saw Dark Beast or it's a simple mistake. Since he mentions Avalanche, and Kitty Beast comes with him. So we'll have to wait and see. Cool we're getting Havok though. Now where's Polaris?

Beast

From the UK Toy Fair thread on Fwoosh:

"Dark Beast, Modern Havok, Logan and a bike are in a SHS box set. Avalanche is white instead of silver (but it was a prototype, so it may be fixed)."

Sounds like a good boxset. Even if it means another Logan and Bike.

Also, the Spider-Man that comes with Bullseye is Scarlet Spider-Man.
In his Red Suit with the Blue Sweater. In a jumping/webslinging pose.

So it's yet another version of Spidey we need. Glad to hear it's a new one.

Big Bad Toy Store brings us our first look at 2 more of the Wolverine 4-Packs.

Messiah Complex - New Cable, X-Force Wolverine, X-Force X-23, and Mr. Sinister. Hopefully we'll see X-Force Warpath and Wolfsbane someday.

Battle at Three Mile Island - Repainted Sabretooth, Repaint/Repacks of Wolverine and Deadpool, and repainted Phoenix (White Phoenix of the Crown!)

BBTS lists three others in the case, one of course likely being the above revealed "Doom of the Dark Beast" set. Very cool!

plisnithus7
02-01-2009, 10:26 PM
It's bad enough that we have to buy the same Spider-man all the time, but I really hate to have to buy 3 figures I already have to get Havok.

The X-Force set looks pretty good though.

Okay, here's another issue I have. What's with the awkward articulation? The trench coat Punisher has his gun held behind his head and that arm doesn't move, but then you have several characters like Cyclops or Duke from Combat Heroes whose articulated arm only makes sense in one position. Then you have the Galactic Heroes who have their guns pointed in the air and hardly ever have moving parts.

DarkJedi5
02-02-2009, 12:51 AM
I don't think the line was ever really meant to be action oriented. They have really scaled up the articulation in this line across the board. The original figures had one or none points of articulation at the wrist. Then they added waist and neck articulation. Granted the Punisher one does bother me because there's no reason for his shotgun to be behind his head. Guess my point is, I think this line is best if you don't expect more than cute little sculpts of our favorite marvel heroes and villains, these guys can't really be much more than that.

Now as far as these Wolverine 4-packs go, I've got to say I am impressed. I figured these would be easy passes with rehashed and unimaginative figures (see the Ironman sets) but they are great. Really looking forward to Havok (and since I didn't buy the Wolverine with the bike the first time it's not that painful) and Sinister and that new Cable looks pretty sweet. I guess the other one is the least interesting with what looks like two straight repacks and two repaints but the Sabertooth looks classic (despite that pose makes him pretty lame) and the Pheonix isn't bad either.

Beast
02-02-2009, 09:52 AM
Yeah, I'm really hoping we'll see a new Sabretooth sculpt soon. Even if it's not in one of his classic costumes. Just so I can have a Sabretooth that's standing in attack pose, not preparing to do a cartwheel. Wish we'd get a more static Cat Beast also, but I actually don't think he looks nearly as bad as Sabes does.

DarkJedi5
02-02-2009, 06:18 PM

Yay Blob!!

Hasbro is showing a Wolverine 4-Pack with Blob at NYCC. He comes with repaints of Wolverine, Iceman, and Colossus. While all those repaints kinda sucks, I'm giddy that we're getting the Mutant Fatty! :D

News from Comic Con on the Superhero Squad cartoon.

From CBR:

In 2009, the company plans to release both the long in production computer-animated series Iron Man series and a series based on the popular toy line and web comic "Marvel Super Hero Squad." While a network hasn't yet been announced, plenty of concept art and character designs from the kid-friendly Super Hero Squad series were shown by Lane, as well as a rough cut of the opening theme with music by Nerf Herder frontman Parry Gripp (who famously wrote the theme music for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"). Headed up on the writing end by "Justice League Unlimited" scribe Matt Wayne and "Angry Beavers" creator Mitch Schauer, the cartoon will take advantage of the entire Marvel Universe and feature a team led by Iron Man and featuring Hulk, Thor, Falcon (and Redwing), Wolverine and Silver Surfer.

"There is a reason in this story for this group of characters to be part of a team and to save the universe from some really bad guys," Lane said, noting that the show drew comedy inspiration from the classic Marvel series "Not Brand Echh." "These guys don't always get along. They argue. They have sensitive personalities...it's really funny to see these characters interact. Wait until you see Wolverine and the Silver Surfer together."

Supporting cast for the team of heroes includes Captain America (a mentor figure), Ms. Marvel (the resident S.H.I.E.L.D. rep) and a brand new teenage character created for the show called Reptil who will also debut in the comics Marvel Universe in an upcoming issue of "Avengers: The Initiative." Lane also showed images of the Fantastic Four, Dr. Strange, Wasp, Hawkeye, Storm and the Heroes for Hire). On the other side of the series is a cabal of villains known as the Lethal Legion whose member ship includes (brace yourselves) leader Dr. Doom, Magneto, Abomination, Fing Fang Foom, Sabertooth, Loki, Juggernaut, Mole Man and M.O.D.O.C. (with additional support from Toad, Dormammu, Klaw, the Wrecking Crew and Screaming Mimi). The characters operate out of an eyeball-shaped base known as Villain-Ville where Doom was seen stewing in a bathrobe and a pair of lizard slippers, while the heroes rent their own personal S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

"We felt that this year, there was room for something a little different. Maybe something with some humor. Maybe something a 4-year-old could watch too in addition to fans, " Lane explained. "Everybody's very curious about this show because it's so different. It represents a lot of firsts for Marvel, and that's really exciting for us to move into new areas."

And from DVD Talk. Where you can kinda see some character designs.

The so-called Wolverine "Messiah Complex" set showed up for sale on Ebay.

However the back of the set now called "Search for Mr. Sinister" reveals two more sets we haven't seen yet. The movie pack does have something of a spoiler for the movie, so I urge you not to read further if you care about Spoilers. I have to say, while I hate repaints... the packs are cool.

"The Coming of Apocalypse" - Repaint/Repack figures of Wolverine and Nightcrawler, Repainted Angel as Archangel (Death Costume), and new regular sized Apocalypse.

"Wolverine on the Run" - Movie based versions of Wolverine (w/ Bone Claws) and Motorcyle, Sabretooth, and Deadpool. Very cool set, but somewhat spoilerish. :)

I mentioned the cartoon a while ago. But I found a link to the opening on You Tube.

Marvel Super Hero Squad
When the greatest heroes on the planet unite to face the world's greatest villains, you get the biggest, most family-friendly Super Hero team-up in TV history…Marvel Super Hero Squad. It's no small job protecting Super Hero City from VillainVille's infamous criminals…But Iron Man, Wolverine, the Hulk, the Silver Surfer, Thor and the Falcon are always up for the job.

Shouting "Hero Up!" as they rush into battle, the Squad must keep Dr. Doom's allies from gathering pieces of the Infinity Sword. Otherwise, Doom will use the Sword to rule the universe! Luckily, the City is filled with Marvel Super Hero guest-stars to help out in a pinch. These brave heroes totally deliver the action—but with plenty of humor on the side.

Hi all, First post though i have been a lurker here for a while now ;)

First a bit about us and what we are collecting and then a few questions for anyone who can help or give advice.

My names Scott & my 3 year old son CJ and I live in Nottingham England.

We recently got waaay too into these things and now have a pretty much complete Galactic Heroes collection. only 5 more repaints to go....one missing figure & the new Snowspeeder & Porkins X-wing.

Soooo we are now turning back to these guys (which are my faves anyway) and i am in the process of trying to buy us the back catalog of figures via Ebay.

Being from the UK the latest sets are likely way off (if we ever see them at all)

Questions for anyone that can help (and apologies if i missed the answers on previous posts as i still have not read them all yet)

I read that vulture was on shelves for a brief time and saw one go for $42 at auction a couple days or so ago. Is he going to come out again ? Or do i bite the bullet and pay the money for him ? I paid $27 for sandman from the same US ebay auction & yes i was a little inebriated before anyone asks :) I then bought the same figure from a Hong Kong website for £7 or so the next night ! Also got the upside down spidey hanging from street lamp from the 'city in crisis' pack for about £2.00

I appreciate that these may be 'seconds' or maybe just some that 'fell into' the pockets of factory workers but the ones i have bought so far have been good.
Anyway if these are pre-release figures and i just got them is it fair to think they may be due for re-release soon ?

I see the Bullseye wave is up for auction boxed from Hong Kong right now but as i am
coming to Florida in 4 weeks i wanted to ask if anyone has seen them at retail yet or know when they are due.

Also what waves are in the stores right now ? 2 and 4 packs
I normally visit all the Targets,Kmarts,Wall-Marts and KB stores in each area i stay in (Orlando then Naples)
I cant get much idea from visiting their websites as the online stock is so poor.

I dont want to go crazy buying from auction with shipping and customs charges if i can get em next month or in Oct/Nov on my next trip.

Final question is what reference do the group swear by for checklist purposes ?
Im using Hasbro's site but it doesnt list the waves & Rumourbuster but it doesnt show the packs collectively so i cant be sure what goes with which pack.

My 3 new figure 'wishlist'

Captain Britain - i can picture him now as a SHS figure fighting the 'Fury'
YellowJacket
Jack of Hearts

Sorry for the long post guys ;) good to have like minded people to talk to.

Cheers,

Scott

Welcome Scott! I'll defer to Beast here because he's the master but in the mean time I'll take a stab at your questions....

I think I heard that Hasbro admits to having messed up on the set with the Vulture (it did see a very limited release if at all over here) and I think the are trying to get it out again. I for one am going to wait and hope it comes back. Your upside down Spidey is quite a find, I haven't even seen that set yet, didn't know it was out even....

What I see in stores (which may be of no help since I'm on he other coast and find things at different times from others) are the Fury/Skrull, Wolverine/Mystique, Thing/Kang, Spidey/Ultron, Spidey/Ronin, Spidey/Shocker (Just got that one myself), Spidey/Shang Chi, and that means that Cyclops/Marvel Girl should be out but I'm still looking for that one. The 4 packs are all the movie ones: The Immovable Blob, Coming of Apocalypse, Movie show down with Deadpool/Sabertooth, the SHEILD set with X-23, and there's another one out that almost all repacks (I skipped it so I forget who's in it) and Collector Pack 2 at Toys R Us with the Prof X and Shadow Cat.

Hi DarkJedi5 - thanks for the welcome and your helpful answers.

There is another large US auction starting very soon and its good to know that i can leave a fair chunk of figures to shop for next month.

Dunno about you guys but even though it can be a little masochistic sometimes I absolutely love the whole chase scenario. Just as well i have an understanding wife who will give me a couple of hours a day when in the states to trawl the stores.

Last trip to Naples I got all the Megapacks for 8 bucks each at K-mart ! I only ever heard of K-mart from Rainman before i started collecting ;) They do seem to discount heavily on older lines there which is something we dont see much of in the UK tho this may be starting to change with the current economic climate.

I had read and assumed that collectors pack 2 had been and gone so have been buying the figures loose. Dread to think what i am at right now for the ones i have.
I reckon it will be at least $100 to complete it anyway. I did manage to get pack 1 and thought $30 from TRU was a little steep. lol

I will take your advice i think regarding Vulture as i think over $30 is a little mad for one figure. Would probably pay it for Falcon though :)

Maybe the spidey figure i bought was a remnant of the pre-release that was put on hold. I know another was relisted immediately after i bought it. Also the Green goblin from the same 4 pack went up for sale but it finished whilst i was asleep and i missed it. Never seen the MJ figure there but she would be nice. Crossbones from the winter soldier pack is there sometimes as well.

I had one funny one from them that was the first iceman figure but without his frozen wave ! and he also had small snowflakes designs on his body. I kept my beast/iceman on card and wanted an iceman for CJ to play with so thats what he got ;)

Cheers

Im reading as much as I can trying to catch up. I am new to the forum and sorta just stumbled upon it. Im very interested in Star Wars and thats quite possibly my biggest collection of toys to date. But right now I'm working on collecting these little guys. I have several of the ones that came out in the 90's they where like metal tho, I think they came in single and in 2 packs. Anyways, I can post pics at some point if no one knows what im talking about. Re:Vulture

Thanks very much for the update Beast...........nice to know i can leave that one till later. Do you think 'CA and Motorcycle' is Cap ? just what we need 'another' bike ;)
Still i guess its better than the Hulk - GH landspeeder re-hash Which is stuffing shelves at every TRU i visit. Wonder if they sold many elsewhere...didnt go well at all here. I dont think its all that surprising tbh.

Star Wars sells bucketloads of just about every vehicle/ship in any of the movies just look at GH playsets. Most any male over 3 years old knows what an x-wing is and probably a lot of females as well.....mostly cos we have it on tv so much ;)

Marvel Universe has 100's of instantly recognisable char's but im sitting here struggling to think of any vehicle other than the F4 car and Xmen ship.
So i guess they just want 'something' for the kids to play with. I can appreciate that.
I bought a few vintage Star Wars 'mini rigs' last week thinking CJ might like them for his GH and he aint touched anything but them since. The figures sit perfectly in cockpits/turrets etc he loves them.
I think i compare the 2 lines as a collector not a kid so i only ever feel let down by the vehicles/playsets
in the SHS range. I am expecting about 60 figures in the mail this week from the states and theres ghost rider and Wolverine bikes coming so lets see if he likes em.

On another point

I am losing the plot with hasbro over Winter soldier and Spidey saves the day.
They really need to say if these are 100% confirmed and at least give year of release. The 'not knowing' is causing some silly bidding on the knockoff sets appearing online overseas. (at lease i assume thats what they are)

I couldnt help but bid when i saw boxed sets on sale and stopped at $150 for WS and $130 for SSTH thats $280 + $30 shipping..........i went for lunch thinking that would secure them but lost both. ok only by a couple bucks each because i went out and couldnt up the bids again but this is getting CRAZY.

I managed to get 'Ultimate Wolverine' from the cancelled Hulk mega pack for $40 inc shipping and then lost MJ from the spidey set for £36. Where will it end ;)

The uncertainty is really bad for our pockets and also my sanity ;)

On the positive side..........2 weeks to my holiday to Florida !! Cant wait to play catch up with the latest waves ;) Also looking forward to the Snowspeeder and Porkins X-Wing for Galactic Heroes.....which were hard to put down on my last trip to TRU in Nottingham but at £50 for the pair i will save a few bucks buying in the US)

BTW anyone here collecting the Clssic Marvel figurine series ? just bought a bunch and need a clue as to rarity etc. Any pointers appreciated.

Cheers,

Scott

I've been collecting the Classic Marvel Figurines. I wouldn't really say any are rarer than others. Some of them are more difficult to find. Anyway.....

Entertainment Earth has some new Wolverine 4-Packs listed.

Executioner's Song
Wolverine Evolution

http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HMV89619C

Hopefully we'll get Stryfe in Executioner's Song. Not sure who else, outside Wolverine.
Lotsa potential for good choices though.... praying for Jubilee at the very least.

http://uncannyxmen.net/db/crossover/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=208

The Evolution pack will probably have 1st appearance (Whiskers Mask) Wolverine and the Ultimate Wolverine from the cancelled Ultimate Hulk Mega Pack. Probably repaints/repacks otherwise.

Hi all,

Thanks for the info on the Classic figurine collection Beast. I still have a few of the specials to find yet and am only at issue 50 odd so long way to go there. I see there are a few variants which seem expensive. (Capt Marvel, BLue Angel etc)
CJ had a couple of plinths full of his SHS stood in front of the lead ones........man i still prefer the little guys if i have to be honest.....i just wanted something else to collect and since i started to get back into Marvel after a 20 odd year break these seemed the next step. I know there are all kinds of busts/statues etc out there but i can hear the missus now if i was to start on them ;)

LOL at the Ultimate Wolverine inclusion down the line. Sometimes i just cant ignore em at any price if i see one i think is rare ;) I knew that figure would be too good to leave out for long. Best Wolvie figure yet imho. Wish the Hulk mega pack was still coming out tho :(

Quick question regarding peoples current spots.

Are all the current Wolverine packs still on shelves guys ? i see some US ebayers are rating one pack as rarer/chase than others but that could just be rubbish. Cant recall which pack off the top of my head and obviously i will buy whatever i find if/when i see em. Just its nice to get that glow that only collectors would appreciate when you hit the jackpot ;)

On a more general Marvel topic 20 years is a Loooong time to be away and i am pretty much in the dark with some of the char's mentioned here as upcoming/wanted.

When we got the Iron man 4 packs last year i was like who the heck is 'iron spider man' ;) It seems there are more Heroes who 'have' been Avengers than have not from what i have read so far. Thing is there is so much information available out there
i just wanted to ask you lot for the easiest source you can recommend.

I dont think im going to start collecting comics again (dont hold me to that) but want to try to get a bit back up to date. Whats the best place to read up with maybe a chronological approach ?

One final question i hope someone can answer for me and apologies for diving off topic again.

My favourite storyline was based on the Avengers alongside their counterparts from an alternate universe (or something like that) Anyway the upshot was ''everybody dies' and i have a vivid memory of Cap slugging away at the bad guy saying he was 'just a man' before dying himself.

I would love to know what this story was called so i can try to find it again.

I visited a Barnes & Noble and also a Books a Million last trip to the US......these are as big as some supermarkets in the UK ! and i was gobsmacked by the amount of Marvel stuff on the shelves.

Need help where to look as my wife was dragging me out after half an hour ;)

Happy Easter all !

Scott

Just back from Florida today, Picked up the Marvel girl pack in a Wal-mart Supercentre over the weekend in Orlando. Was the only one i saw the whole 2 weeks. Never saw the Shang Chi or Shocker sets. but up to date apart from them.

Seems the rare Wolverine 4 pack was Apocalype, Only saw it twice.

Picked up Loki/Thor and a Strange/Antman in one Wal-Mart south of Orlando. Felt like it was Xmas as i had paid a fair bit for these loose off ebay ;)

Once i was up to date with SHS i looked at GI Joe - Awesome range of movement on these. got 8 packs and really impressed.

Also bought the Indy ones....I allways passed these up for SHS & GH lines. Wish i had been buying them from day 1 as i never found the Elsa or Dr Jones packs. Grail Knight is awesome ;) found it in a TJmaxx for $3 !

It's been a while since we've seen an update from Cash.
Well, we have some new sets showing up on Wal-Mart Computers.

Assume these to be Wave 18.

70030093 MARVEL SHS THOR & ABOMINATION
70030100 MARVEL SHS S-M & SCARLET WITCH
70030107 MARVEL SHS REPTIL & DR.DOOM

Sure it would probably make more sense to pack Abomination with Hulk, but we've had a ton of Hulks thanks to the movie. Though I wouldn't have minded a Joe Fixit or Professor Hulk. But... happy to finally get a 616 version of Abomination. Hopefully Thor is new, but I won't pass on the set if it's a repaint.

Another set with Spider-Man. But hopefully it's a new sculpt or costume, like we've been seeing lately. Really happy to finally get Scarlet Witch. Just wish she was packed with Quicksilver instead. Or at least a new version or Vision, perhaps a "Phasing" version. But oh well, finally Wanda!

Surprised it took us this long to finally get Reptil. Since he debuted for the Comic Books, and supposedly will play a part in the Animated Series as well. Can't wait. Hope that Dr. Doom is a new sculpt as well, though I still like the Wave 3 version well enough. Hope we see some of this at SDCC.

Well, we finally have pictures of Wave 15!! And wow, great wave.

http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=12211

I like how the sculpts are evolving a bit to look a touch more realistic.

Spider-Man & Vulture - Well, at least people who couldn't get the Vulture pack from Wal-Mart a while back have another shot. And the paintjob is better. I like that they're including the Spidey from the long delayed Green Goblin set with Mary Jane as well. But hope it still comes out.

Iron Man & Spider-Woman - I like the Iron Man, but we've already had so many. However the Spider-Woman is a surprise. I really was hoping it would be the Julia Carpenter/Arachne version. Though I do like the sculpt better than the recent version. A bit more... substantial I guess.

Hulk & Nova - I was hoping to see a Mr. Fixit or Professor version of the Hulk. But I do like the new sculpt of the Jade Giant. But wow, Nova's amazing looking. I really like all the detail they put into the figure, both sculpt wise as well as paintjob wise. Really nice addition to the collection.

Wolverine & Silver Samurai - Here I thought maybe we'd get yet another repaint of Logan. Or maybe Patch. But nope, it's his current Astonishing X-Men costume version. But wow, Silver Samurai is really the star of the set. He's probably one of the better figures in the toyline so far.

Looks like the cancelled/on hold 4-Packs are back on the schedule.

From CASH over on the SHS Forums:

The Wal-Mart computer entries for all 4-packs (both past and future waves) were removed sometime late last year and entering the UPC number would only get you a "Not on File" message. Now they're back up and with a couple of additions! This would seem to confirm what Hasbro has been saying about them sitting on 4-packs for later release.

Of special note is that the Champions entry which once appeared in the system has been replaced with the secret invasion pack shown at the New York Comic Con earlier this year, I'm guessing that one was cancelled.

Here's the complete listing of all unreleased packs shown in the system. I'm not entirely sure what the wave breakdown will be, but the UPC numbers (not shown here) appear to be grouped in pairs, suggesting 2 packs per wave as it has been with past waves.

Wave 3

Collection Station has our first look at the Wave 3 Wolverine SHS "Wolverine Evolution" 4-Pack. Sadly it's not a very impressive set. Looks to be another movie inspired one. Shame that they didn't do an evolution set of comic figures, but oh well. No pics yet of the Executioner's Song set. But hopefully it'll turn up soon.

Wolverine w/Bone Claws (No Name. Lumberjack Logan?)
Wolverine (Congo Assault Outfit)
Wolverine (Weapon X Escape)

Here's a sneak peek at the SHS M.O.D.O.K.

Apperantly they're calling him M.O.D.O.C. though, so as to avoid the whole 'Killing' thing.

Marvel Super Hero Squad M.O.D.O.C.
Manufactured by: Hasbro
Series: TBD
Year produced: 2009

Features: UNLIMITED CUTENESS! You can't look at M.O.D.O.C.'s adorable, smiling face and not want to high five him and go out brain-blasting people for fun. Oh, and the C is for Conquest. Killing, shmilling, Conquest is where it's at in 2009!

Looks like the only new figure in the set is Wrecker. But still, very cool.

And here's another better look at the Secret Invasion set also from Ebay.

Darkhawk
Thanos
Peter Parker
Omega Red
I'm surprised Thanos hasn't gotten a figure yet.

I bought it at Target months ago, back before the movie came out. I haven't seen it in quite a while though. If it's not available through the usual etailers you may have to go for eBay.

Yeah there are some high priced Ebay ones. I never found the Iron Monger 4 pack and will probably just buy it off of Ebay. I did find Ironfist, the new Surfer and Green Goblin packs today. I want to also know when Moonknight is coming out.

Kind of a disappointing comic con as far as shs goes. I guess I was expecting to see more new product than a few waves and the vehicles and playsets don't do anything for me at all. However I pick up the latest wave at Target today; Wolverine/Bishop, Deathlok/Iron Man, Iron Fist/Simbiote Spidey, and Spidey/Green Goblin.

The new collector pack with Ultimate Hulk and Falcon are at TRU.

Like Stevolittle mentioned - at least I think I saw what he's referring to - at TRU was a $30 set with a large size Hulk, Spiderman, Falcon, White Queen, Mr Fantastic - and maybe an Iron Man?

I also saw two other sets I haven't seen mentioned in this thread before. The first was another TRU exclusive - a mobile command center for the Superhero Squad ($30). This comes with another Woverine/motorcycle, but it's really the command center that's the draw. Seems similar to the idea behind the Fantastic Four vehincle - where this starts as a almost RV looking truck and then can break apart into a few different vehicles.

The other one I noticed was a $20 Iron Man themed semi-truck (which has an Iron Man permanently inside the cab) - the back of which spreads open and can be used as a service station for the various Superhero Squad 'cars' that have been released. On the box for this set it also showed a Spiderman themed semi-truck as well. These did not appear to be TRU exclusives.

Re: Collectors pack 2

I missed this also and had to buy em loose off Ebay. Not seen prof x for a while but i think Kitty is often on one the HK Ebay stores.

Just got back from the US yesterday and picked up waves 14,15 and the 2 new wolverine packs (Target at Mall of Millenia Orlando)

Also got collectors pack 3 but am i right to think all these figures will be coming out in multipacks in the future ? Falcon in Winter soldier saga, Mr Fantastic in the one with the big Skrull , Hulk in the Mega pack with Ultimate Wolverine ?

Kinda makes the collectors pack redundant imo if thats the case.

Pack 2 was a really cool one even just for Prof X.

The Avengers and X-men playsets turned out to be pretty cool if overpriced imo and they fold up well for any of you travellers out there.

I hadnt previously realised they are covered with little spikes of plastic to stick the figures onto at the base of the feet. Spidey looked cool upside down :)

My son almost took his eye out with the 'winch' on caps chopper but once that was removed it was a nice add to the cars. He also spent a lot of time shooting figures across the room with the mobile command centre's flipper.

Im still looking for Shang-Chi and the shocker 2 pack if anyone has seen em :)

Cheers all

Just picked up 2 new 4 packs this morning @£10/pack. from Tesco's in Nottingham England !!

''secret wars' and 'secret invasion begins' Had no idea they were available outside of the far east yet and was just about to give in and buy them from Ebay.

Tesco are also selling the main chars from the tv cartoon in single packs (all old sculpts/paint) They also have the vehicle sets released in the US a year or so ago.

I hope this reboot works and we will finally get to see current figures in UK stores.

Honestly i nearly fell over when i saw them in a UK supermarket.

We have had very little SHS stock in UK stores. Some are STILL trying to get rid of Hulk 2 packs and Iron Man 4 packs :)

I honestly cant remember seeing any of the SHS 2 packs after wave 1 so to say i was shocked is an understatement. (95% of our collection is from holidays to the US or from Ebay US.)

As to the figures themselves its a mixed bunch imo.

Secret Invasion - Skrull is pretty cool and the translucent 'spellcasting' Dr Strange repaint is also neat. Mr Fantastic is a repaint from collectors pack 3 and Iron man's also a repaint.

Secret Wars similarly is mixed. The new Spidey is a cracker, really dynamic pose. Wrecker
is another new sculpt but only waist articulation. Hawkeye is actually a very nice repaint.
Iron Man's another straight repaint.

No complaints here considering they worked out at only £2.50 each :)

Now we just need Spidey saves the day and Winter Soldier to follow on (wishfull thinking but fingers crossed)

They are single bubble type not blind ones. Kinda like the GH single blisters.

Didnt look too close at them other than to make sure there were no new sculpts.

btw i made an error in my earlier post, there is an iron man repaint in one set and a cap repaint in the other....not both iron man.

Thanks Beast, I'll be sure to do that. My one BIG question has probably been asked before so you may know the answer... since Hasbro has, from time to time, rereleased sets of the superhero squad is it possible that we will ever see the impossible to find Beast and Iceman set released as it was originally?

'Fraid I couldn't tell you about the value of a Nightcrawler/Juggernaut 2-pack. I bought mine a few years ago at retail and haven't followed the price on the secondary market. I'd paying too too much on eBay because in this line, they seem to recycle the figures with a slight paint variation. For example there's a four pack with both of those characters, Wolverine and Gambit (http://www.collectionstation.com/items/view/2141). There's one on eBay that just started and may end up being less than the $40 you paid.

And from the sound of it, your son does have the hard to find Beast/Iceman set. The Beast has been released two other times, once with some sort of flocking to make him actually fuzzy and once painted grey as the Dark Beast. Iceman has seen one rerelease but he was painted white to represent Original Iceman.

If i read that correctly your missing the wave 4 2 pack ? I bought my Beast/Iceman from Australia a year or so back and i know there have been a few on there recently as i just bought Juggie/Nightcrawler , Thing/Mole man & Phoenix/Wolverine last week. Those 3 packs cost me about £50 shipped so not horrendously expensive. Check out the aussie Ebay site if you cant find one.

Wow, seems like ages since we have had some new news.

But finally have some news and pics for Wave 20. And even better, everyone (but Wolverine) gets a new sculpt. If this was the reason for the long lull between releases, I can't complain too much.

Wave 20:

Ronan The Accuser/Spider-Man
Wolverine/Juggernaut
Taskmaster/Deadpool

DarkJedi5
06-21-2010, 11:19 AM
Honestly, I don't pretend to know everything about Marvel comics but I do not know Ronan the Accuser, seems like a bit of a reach there with so many well known characters still unmade. And issuing another Spiderman and Wolverine seems pretty lazy. Yes, Spidey is a new sculpt, but of the 6 characters in the wave, only two of them are new. Unless they just made a hash of the previous version (which I don't believe is the case with any of the resculpted characters) then why not bring us something new? I know Spidey and Wolverine are the two most popular characters but I can't think of a new sculpt that I couldn't live without. Sure you can stick one of them in each wave, but don't waste tooling dollars on them, just repaint some other sculpt with Wolverine's costume that he wore for two months in 1997.

El Chuxter
06-21-2010, 11:48 AM
Ronan has an interesting power. He can accuse people of things. Like in his first appearance, he was flying over New York and saw a guy take a woman's purse. He chased him all across lower Manhattan and finally cornered him in an alley. Then he said, "You took that lady's purse!" That was the whole story. I hope maybe the cops heard him accuse the guy of pursesnatching, and arrested him.
