The Imperials don't use the same model of droid as C-3PO?

is it just that the death star protocol droid is a cheaper model or is it a favoured company makes those black droids, kinda like a contract thing. rent a droid.

just seems odd that they wouldn't have a better class of droid. a more reliable one. they got good droids in astro droids and the viper probe droid is pretty darn good. mouse droids seem to do the trick.

i only ask coz i had a spare threepio figure and painted it black. coz i thought it would look good. and it does. just got me finkin' is all.

Of course I could always label my black Threepio as a Shadow interpreter. because obviously all covert missions would need an interpreter to handle sticky situations with locals who don't quite understand why theres a bunch of guys dressed in black standing around looking lost on an atol.......

When Garindan speaks to the Sandtroopers, they understand what he says without an interpreter, possibly through translators in their helmets.

And it's ok for stormtroopers i guess but what about Imperial officers? I guess there must have been periods during the galactic clampdown after palpatine took ower and declared the republic dead where offficers found themselves in situations where martial law was declared on various planets. maybe Imperial training includes language class. hmmm maybe that's what all the clone kids were learning sat at their monitors. learn the languages first along with basic orientation in submissive personalities. then later life is all about the military combat training.

Oh and just to recap on my shadow threepio, he's coming along nicely he has a shadow Gonk droid companion now. to help kep the imperial shadow forces juiced up with stealth POWAH!!!

I just figured the Imp officers were all snotty and refused to learn anybody else's language, wouldn't talk to those types of people at all. :p
