It was deleted no doubt because some people decided to have some fun at your use of the proper toy industry term for the different leg connection styles. The preview Zam Wesell figure has a V-crotch, but it's not as bad as the one on the Aurra Sing figure.

Before you guys out there start making fun of this post, please read. In the toy industy, there are strange terms for figure joints and parts. They also use the term: "Soft Goods" when refering to the use of cloth on action figures.

Now, there are two different kind of body to leg connection styles. A T-Crotch which you see on most Star Wars figures, and a V-Crotch that appears on figures such as Aurra Sing. The V crotch looks better stylistically for female figures, so is usually only reserved for those.

The preview figure, it seems, is the 'boring' version of Zam. (maggots eat the rest of the post). She should have a few more before it's all over.

pleeze don't feel offended when you read this lord tenebrous but could u please and everybody else, too stop telling that much spoilers about the movie story
I don't have any problems with pics and everything (I really wish there were more) but could u all please stop sayin stuff like "Zam after she gets shot with the Kyber dart" or like in another post "Jango Fett with removable head"
please don't say things like that I would really appreciate it very much if you wouldn't tell stuff about what happenes in the movie

I totally agree, 187-Maul. I mean, if people want to talk about the movie, that can be posted in another section of the forums. I mean, seeing the pictures of figures doesn't necessarily give anything away about the movie.
I saw the Reek and the Acklay, and it didn't ruin anything for me, I just wonder what they're in the movie for. But people have to talk about plot lines and such.
I didn't want to make a big deal about it, but I find myself not coming to these forums anymore because I'm tired of things being ruined for me. I guess I'll just come back when AOTC is finally out and I have seen it, and I'll leave again right before EP3.

Is it ok if we say "w/ lightsaber ignited"? :D

No matter the leg connection on Zam, it looks like it won't make much difference...

Amen GNT. If your trying to avoid spoilers, the toy section is not one of the best places to be hanging around. And don't look at or buy any E2 figures until after May 16th when the movie opens.

If you do, you'll know that C-3PO gets coverings in E2. That Kit Fisto has a green lightsaber, and that there are lil centipede creatures that are assassin creatures that R2-D2 saves Padme from by sounding an alarm. Shall I go on. :)

Yep I know, GNT. :) I was just trying to not be to spoilerish, in my post. :D And I agree, that chase is going to majorly kick arse. The figures, the trailers, and every spoiler I can get my hands on is making me swell with anticipation to seeing Episode II.

I respectfully disagree with you JJB and GNT. You can discuss a figure in the toy section, but I don't think it's fair to those trying to remain spoiler free to discuss the character that figure is based on and the actions of that character in the context of the storyline.

You might have an R2 figure with "little things", but that in no way infers that those things attack Padme or that it leads to a chase through Coruscant.

You might have a Zam Wessel figure, but that in no way lets you discuss what happens to Zam in the film.

I think it's more appropriate for you ro regulate your discussion of the actual storyline to the Spolier section than to force others to abandon the toy section because you think you have the privilege to talk about aspects of Episode II which should be regulated to other sections.

I also think it's downright rude to suggest that someone should "turn off their computer for three months." Why shouldn't that person be able to come here and discuss Star Wars with other fans? Who says your right to spoiler info is more important than their right to abstain from said spoilers? Star Wars is not ONLY about AOTC.

If you guys want to discuss AOTC, that's fine. Just do it in the designated area. Keep your comments in THIS section to the figures themselves, NOT the actions of the characters those figures represent.

I COULD be wrong... but I don't think that I've ever mentioned anything about the movie relating to the figures. I pretty much keep my mouth going on how cruddy the pose is or how lame the pack-in is or stupid the gimmick is or how redundant the resculpt is or... huh? Oh, right... I DO kinda like some of this mess that is the AOTC line.

As far as Zam goes... I think she will be one of my favourite figures within the first offerings of the new line. I think she is well detailed and doesn't look like she's trying to milk a Bantha or compete in the Floor Exercises portion of an Olympic Gymnastics event. Leeana is a very attractive lady and I think the costume is a nice mix of warrior and Mata Hari. I think the articulation will serve her well. I think she will be able to fit into her speeder nicely... it was probably designed for this sculpt.

I agree with JJB, GNT, and Rollo T.!:crazed:

But let's face it this may be the TOY section, but it is also the ATTACK OF THE CLONES section.

It can be difficult to keep the two seperate. I can see someone complaining about the Jango Fett with removable head, as long as it was posted in some OTHER section. But this relates DIRECTLY to the new AOTC FIGURES!

So I suggest that if someone wants to remain "Spoiler Free" that they keep out of the AOTC section(S).

Afterall, it dosen't make sense that someone says they want to remain "Spoiler Free" yet they go around checking out all the figure/characters for the new movie!

In short, let's all refrain from posting about AOTC in non-AOTC sections. (Which I don't think has been a problem)

And if you want to remain "Spoiler Free" then you should refrain from visiting sections LABELED Attack of the Clones/EP2 (spoilers)/ etc.

No, you can talk about the toys without talking about the movie.
Seeing the characters in toy form doesn't really give anything away about the movie. Before Episode 1, I knew who Darth Maul was, but it didn't give anything away about what happened to his character or what he did in the movie. I sure didn't know what was going to happen to him at the end.
And I can honestly tell you that I didn't know what those things were that come with R2-D2, and I really didn't know why he made that alarm, but I know now thanks to people posting it. Some seem to think things like that are obvious, but they aren't. You only say they're obvious because you knew about it before hand.
I think that if people want to post spoilers in their responses, then maybe they should give some warning to it. I shouldn't have to stop coming here and stop reading the posts because I have to worry about people giving stuff away. But I guess that's what I'm going to have to do. See ya.

Yeah, we are discussing figures for a movie that hasn't been released yet. There are spoilers bound to come out when we are talking about them. Hell, the first wave of figures are ripe with spoilers. Hasbro even is in on the spoiler's game. Take a look at the picture they posted of the deluxe figures. We have the Count Dooku figure with a red lightsaber. Guess that spoils things for anyone that didn't want to know about him being a Sith.

Looking at toys before the movie is going to spoil certain aspects of the film. Coming to a forum and expecting people that are discussing the figure, not to talk about spoilers is unfair. Many of us are ravenous fans, that want every bit of info about a certain figure and love sharing with other fans.

If you came here to look at the carded images of the first waves of figures you've already been introduced to multiple spoilers. Planet names, lightsaber colors, the fact that there is an arena battle in the movie. Heck, the preview wave even has spoilers. You got to see what the CloneTroopers look like. Discussing figures for an upcoming movie go hand in hand with spoilers. If you really hate spoilers, you just need to avoid reading anything in the AOTC's forums until after May, because that practice isn't going to stop.

You didn't know what happened to Maul, but if you read the forums here back then you would have found out. The same thing happened here with E1 as is happening now. People are discussing the figures, and talking about the movie. And the Maul figure did spoil some things. It ruined the cool reviel of Maul's double bladed saber at the end of the film. That scene would have been so cool, if they had not stuck the image of him with a lightsaber staff on everything.

If you looked at the figure packaging for the R2-D2 (Couruscant Sentry) you should have known what those things are. They are listed on the back of the damn card! We arn't gonna not talk about somthing because people don't wanna read spoilers. If they wanna avoid reading spoilers they should avoid being in a spoiler filled area. That would be like blaming a pornography store because you saw somthing obscene. You shouldn't have been in the store, if you know what they sell. Ya wanna avoid spoilers, avoid the AOTC's sections of the forums.

Is there any reliable news that there really will be a 2nd version of Zam that can fit in her speeder. The preview version clearly cannot sit to fit into a speeder given her V-crotch and also, the preview figure's arms are molded into a held-out position to hold her long rifle.

jar Jar Binks proves Lman316's point
We have the Count Dooku figure with a red lightsaber. Guess that spoils things for anyone that didn't want to know about him being a Sith.

The only thing you can infer is that he has a red stick thing.

Maybe it was a gift from a Jedi friend.

Maybe he "killed a Jedi and took it from him..."

Maybe he used to be a Jedi and keeps it around for sentimental reasons.

Maybe it's a red walking cane and not a lightsaber at all.

Maybe Count Dooku is a leader of a separatist movemet and not involved with the Sith at all.

NOWHERE DOES IT SAY DOOKU IS A SITH.

You think this proves what you already know, because you already know it. Please respect the wishes of those with a little more forbearance and backbone and watch what you say in THIS particular section. Keep your comments regulated to the TOYS, not the storyline.

Umm, Rollo...check the back of the packaging for the Deluxe Jango Fett and Mace Windu figures. Darth Tyranus. Hello, as I said before, we are discussing the figures. Red lightsaber + Darth name = Sith. If you don't wanna read spoilers, don't visit the AOTC's sections at all. You're constantly reading about figures, for a movie that hasn't came out yet, you are even getting spoilers about figures that haven't came out yet. Again, you are reading spoilers all the time in an AOTC's figure section, because the movie hasn't opened yet. If you don't like it, ummm....Stop?!

Lman316, you may not have known that Darth Maul was going to die, from the initial release of figres. BUT, had Hasbro released the "Split in two" POTJ Darth Maul with the initial wave you would have.

So, if people happen to post that Jango Fett has a removable head option, they would be describing the FIGURE and hence you would hear about the spoiler!

Some of this stuff IS a NO BRAINER!!!

And, as others have posted MUCH of the stuff revealed is WRITTEN on the back of the cards!!!

The only real solution would be for Sir Steve to create 2 sections for AOTC figures. One with "spoiler" alert and one with "no spoiler" alert.

He probably didn't do this because he figured (no pun intended) that it was a no brainer. If you're gonna read about the figures for AOTC you most likely want to be spoiled, or you would avoid AOTC sections!

Just my opinion.

Artoo didn't even use that alarm in the movie, so you guys have to get over that argument. Obe and An Force-sensed the kouhouhns and Artoo just sat there like a useless can.

Also, many of the vintage figures had removeable heads and that didn't mean the characters had their caps de-tated in the movies...
