I love the Snowtrooper. The At-At is ok, I dont know what this Gothic fascination Hasbro has lately.

Hasbro can keep the black at-at. I hope they cancel this one before it goes into production. It's just pushing the whole repaint thing a step too far. What's next? A red one that is the emperors guards at-at?

The red tank look okay, I'll buy that one. Same with the snowtrooper on the speeder bike. I might pick up a couple hoth deco at-st's as well.

They need to get some new sculpts out before a line with tons of potential shrivels up and dies.

They said next year will be alot of new stuff, with only 2 more waves planned for this year, wave 5 and these.

I see they are going to single card the Shiny Death Star. See I told you all there was no Death Star II just another bloody repaint.

Didn't Hasbro say at C4 that they didn't show any new titaniums, then. Because they want to save some surprises for SDCC? Well, here's CC and we see 4-5 repaints. Yeah, I'm surprised, NOT. Where is the Outrider we were suposed to see this year????

Maybe, but Hasbro really needs to get the SW Titanium line rolling again. This years releases, IMO, have been sad. Granted there have been a few good ones. But repaint after repaint, after repaint is really getting old. In all honesty, how many but the die-hard collectors, are actually going to get ever single titanium? I started out getting all I could find, but now if I miss one. All I need to do is wait about 6 months and I'll see a slightly different version. Maybe one that is movie acurate.

I have strated passing on the repaints unless they look really good.

On impulse I'd want the "chrome" death star but on common sense terms I don't think so. I'm done with titaniums until they make new stuff. slave leia titanium please.

It's just really sad that this line looks to be, this year anyway going down the toilet. Hasbro just did this line, not really adding to it. But releasing different versions to keep the line alive, for this lame a** year. Just my opinion. Next year, really needs to surprise.

Much agreed Jangu. I am glad for it because it saves oin my wallet for the other lines I get.

Wow I was such a completist with this line. In fact I used to buy at least two of every (1 carded/1 loose) and then a few extras of certain ones.

I can honestly say I'm not going to be a completist any more of the small Titanium line. In fact I'm seriously thinking about selling of my carded ones. (it would be one lot, not individually).

Being one of those Die-Hard collectors of Titaniums- I DO get every variation...even minor ones (I have 3 Tantive 4's for example)- I agree that the line went downhill this year and we ALL should know why since we have to deal with the residual effects...

I.E. how many of your stores have Titanium pegs CLOGGED with Spiderman 3 Titaniums and/or mostly sub-par Transformer Titaniums (now THERE are some repaints!)?

Hopefully once the Transformers hoopla dies down a bit and after the Spidey 3 Titaniums are all clearanced out Hasbro can get back to basics with the Star Wars Titanium line!

And I ain't sellin'- and I do have one closed and one opened (and the variants that way too- even an unopened TF's Falcon with the Gold's in there). I spent way too much cash hunting down the C3 X-Wing (one to keep one to open) and the 2006 Toy Fair Vader to keep closed to ever give up now...I just have no space to display them anymore...

...and I'll still go one loose-one to keep just because the package artwork is unique with each ship and it looks great BUT I gotta' admit the thrill is gone when I go shopping now knowing that 90% of the time nothing new that I want is hanging on the Titanium pegs. I still have to wade through the Spiderman and TF ones though to make doubly sure. ;)

I love the Snowtrooper. The At-At is ok, I dont know what this Gothic fascination Hasbro has lately. The Snowtrooper was a real gem, the moment I saw that one I knew it was my favorite of the speederbike guys. But honestly, they totally blew it for me.

Where is the Outrider we were suposed to see this year????No, they said there wasn't much to bring because there just wasn't much left for the year, and that they had just gotten the line under their management. But I don't remember SDCC being an issue.

Still, what they brought was a massive disappointment, and not saying more in the panel broke my heart.

Next year, really needs to surprise.Yeah, I remember when they showed off the '07 Titaniums last year at Comic-Con and it blew us away, then it all came out right on top of each other and the line dropped to zero.

This is what I think of the Titanium line's current status.

The link wouldn't come up for me James.

I'm liking that Snowtrooper, but everything else is ho-hum. Got the Deathstar from the 5-pack.
I'm thinking there's gonna have to be a massive blowout of Titaniums to clear out all the Transformers, Spiderman, and oh yeah, anybody see all the Ghost-Rider bikes too?

JT,

I see that you picked up the Battlestar set at SDCC, before I buy one from HTS, are the paint jobs any different or are they straight repacks?

rjThat's not the problem, you could put a hundred slashes in a URL instead of 1 and a server won't care. The problem is that they don't allow direct-linking, when you take out the second slash it reads it as a new call instead of a linked image.

The problem is that Daimyo.org doesn't want you direct-linking to their images, so they have htaccess in their server block links like that. I've altered the original post so you can't click the link, have to copy-paste, that nearly always works.

JT,

I see that you picked up the Battlestar set at SDCC, before I buy one from HTS, are the paint jobs any different or are they straight repacks? They're repaints. The Raptor is not as obvious yet, but has more weathering and looks more accurate. The Galactica is black and looks really sharp. The Mk2 Viper has a little wear and has Apollo's callsign painted on the side.

odd...i did copy/paste the link before i posted and it didn't work until i removed the extra / following "images"...it seems fine now that i'm on my home computer...i suppose it was an error in my browser at work or possibly a fluke...either way, i stand corrected

Thanks, ordered 2 sets yesterday.
