View Full Version : QUESTIONS FOR HASBRO - round 35

Please post your VOTE for up to 6 {six} of the questions provided in this thread, letting us know which ones you most want to see asked on Friday, August 24th. Keep in mind that your votes in round 34 do not count in this round, so if your question is still on the list you may want to vote for it again.

Also, feel free to post new questions. For reference, here are Hasbro's answers to previous SSG questions (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=716); to ActionFigs.com's questions (http://www.actionfigs.com/index.php?categoryid=12&p2_articleid=1384); and from other sites (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=510). The questions we asked last round can be found here (http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/showthread.php?p=564621#post564621).

Current questions (vote for up to 6):

- Canadaian collectors miss out on a many of the US-only store exclusives. Any chance Canadians could have every exclusive figure/vehicle/combination made available on shop.starwars.com after their shelf runs in the US stores?
- If Hasbro feels that mid-sized vehicles is the way to go, then will we be seeing more airspeeders and landspeeders in the forseeable future? Some of the airspeeders are pretty much snubfighter sized.
- Eventually will all the Episode III Clone Commanders be released as an entire set?
- What does Hasbro think about using the New Jedi Order (Yuuzhan Vong) series of novels for source material for the Expanded Universe collection?
- Any chance that Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast will get together and pack in WOTC's Star Wars minatures with Hasbro basic figures?
- In recent years, many Darth Vader figures have included a silver piece of fabric material around the neck to represent the chain that holds Vader's cape on. However, every time this feature has been included, the "chain" ends up looking too big and out-of-place, while Vader figures that do not include this chain end up looking much better. In the interest of accuracy, could the chain either be scaled down (to better match its look in Episodes III, V, and VI), or done as sculpted plastic (as on earlier incarnations), or simply left off (as in Episode IV) on future Darth Vader figures?
- Some collectors missed out on the Vintage-style figures and now must look to ebay and other wretched hives of scum and villainy for these fine figures. What is the likelihood of seeing any or all of those Vintage-style figures rereleased and getting more of collectors' money directly? (They'd prefer to give it to you rather than overpriced after-market guys.)
- Will we be seeing the Titanium AOTC Jedi Starfighter repainted in all the color schemes the figure scale one has come in (Clone Wars teal, Saesee Tiin's, Kit Fisto's), the way it is currently slated for a Plo Koon repaint?
- The Snowspeeder has only been an exclusive item in the past two releases for it where prior releases were regular mass-retail. Why the exclusivity and accompanying higher pricepoint on this vehicle? If it's due to its somewhat large size compared to other vehicles, could it be scaled down to accurate proportions (since it is actually a little too large as-is) and released in the $20 line?
- Will Hasbro be re-releasing the straight sections of the cantina bar in the near future to coincide with the release of the curved end pieces coming out? If so, please consider re-releasing the blue Snaggletooth from the K-Mart exclusive as well.
- Are there folks today at Hasbro who were working on the Star Wars line back when it was reborn in 1995? Was there any clue behind-the-scenes back then that the Star Wars toy line would garner such a huge adult collector following? Were adult collectors considered at all on any level back then when forging the line's beginnings? What do you folks think of the extensive adult collector enthusiasm for the line today, 12 years later?
- Why is it that Hasbro produces some vehicles that are incredibly difficult, even impossible, to fit regular figures inside such as the Ep 1 Flash Speeder, or Ep 2 Zam's & Anakin's Speeder?
- Will the troop-builder clones from the Order 66 2-packs, Treachery on Saleucami Battle Pack, Betrayal on Felucia Battle Pack, and Mace Windu's Attack Battalion Battle Pack ever be released as basic figures?
- Twice during the prequels, a vehicle toy's MSRP was dropped significantly without any changes to its mold - the first being the Episode I Naboo Royal Starship which went from $100 to $50, and the second being the Republic Gunship which in the Saga line was $40 but subsequent releases were $30. What were the causes of these price drops? Why hasn't this happened with other vehicles in similar high pricepoints?
- With there being so much competition in regards to high end collecting with other licensees, has Hasbro considered perhaps making the figures' accessories out of metal like the already established saber hilts from the 2002 Saga line? (This was even recently used again with the reissued Sith Training Darth Maul from the end of the TSC line.) They could also do it this time with blasters and other non-lightsaber accessories as well.
- Hasbro still seems to be focusing a lot on Revenge of the Sith. If the Target-exclusive Order 66 packs do well, would Hasbro consider making similar packs based on Attack of the Clones? For example, a clone trooper in each pack with either a Jedi or a Separatist force?
- The new Clone Trooper and Rebel Trooper role-play blasters are pretty cool and seem to be selling fairly well out of the gate. With that in mind, will Hasbro be offering more role-play weapons such as all-new sculpts of Han's blaster, the Stormtrooper blaster (with more accurate size and folded stock under the barrel), Biker Scout pistol, and perhaps even larger ones like the Hoth Rebel rifle and Clone Trooper long rifle?
- What are the requirements that a retailer must go meet to get a Star Wars exclusive, do they have to be a certain size company, make a certain number of Hasbro orders a month, etc.? Is there some sort of process that a retailer has to go through to get an exclusive, do they work with Hasbro on what item to produce or is it out of their hands?
- In the SW Republic #31 Comic 2pack, why does the A'Sharad Hett figure come with the traditional "bandage wrapped" Tusken Raider head coverings rather than the accurate "leather wrapped"-style one that he wore in the comics which made him visually unique? What do you say to A'Sharad Hett fans that are going to be disappointed they're not getting the character as accurately as they hoped?
- The Turkish bootleg figures known as "Uzay" in the 1980s, based off of vintage Kenner Star Wars figures, had a few bizarre pieces that are interesting and intriguing to many collectors, especially in light of a recent Star Wars Insider article. Two figures fit this bill in particular: Blue Stars was a blue repaint of a Snowtrooper and Head Man was a Royal Guard with a chrome head and a black body. Seeing as how we've had a trend of seeing repaints and retools on many, many figures in the past few years, would these figures ever be possible candidates for release? At the very least, they would make interesting conversation pieces, much like the blue Zutton figure from 2004.
- A few Battlepacks have featured Jedi, a Clone Commander, and three Clone Troopers. Will we see this concept applied to more sets in the future, perhaps something like Ki-Adi-Mundi, a grittier repaint of Commander Bacara, and three Galactic Marines? What about extending this idea to the other films beyond Ep III?
- With Mandalore being produced for the Mandalorian Evolutions set, will other Tales of the Jedi figures - specifically Ulic Qel-Droma and Exar Kun - be in queue for a future wave of Comic 2-packs?
- Any chance that the Anakin's Clone Wars-modified Jedi Starfighter and the regular Jedi Starfighter from the Clone Wars line will be re-released in the foreseeable future?
- At Comic-Con, you showed off '08 wave 1 and in it was the Octuptarra Droid. However, what was shown actually had the details of the much larger Tri-Droid - another ROTS droid that was an upsized, remodeled version of the smaller Octuptarra Droid - so the feet, guns, and eyes on what you showed are from the wrong design. Will these details be corrected so that it truly is the Octuptarra Droid?
- Many collectors have noted that Moff Jerjerrod was not a great seller and can still be found in stores, while it seemed as though Admiral Ozzel, Captain Piett, and Grand Moff Tarkin seemed to have sold better. There are times where Hasbro really nails a likeness, but unfortunately Moff Jerjerrod did not look like the actor and had an angry facial expression not seen in Return of the Jedi. Would Hasbro ever consider resculpting this figure or does the perceived poor performance of the Jerjerrod figure make it unlikely he would ever be revisited. Do you agree that if this figure sold poorly it may have been in part because of a poor likeness?
- Fans would like a Dice Ibegon figure from the Mos Eisley cantina to sit with their LaK Sivrak and/or Ketwol figures. However, not every fan agrees to how the Florn Lamproid would look as an action figure: a larger body or a large snake. Does Hasbro consider Dice out of bounds because it is unknown what her body looks like, or is it possible we might someday see a full body Dice Ibegon figure? After all, Hasbro did a wild job imagining what Hem Dazon's body looked like, and he was just a head on a stick.
- Would Hasbro consider releasing a complete set of clone troopers with only a basic, plain white deco? Many customizers would enjoy having a blank clone to decorate with their own designs, and regular fans could enjoy the uniform look - the white AT-RT Driver from the Ep 3 Commemorative Tin set looks great and is easy to customize. So how about a box set with all the various clone types without specialized deco or even weathering? It could even be offered in simpler packaging, white mailer boxes with simple baggies.
- The idea of having 2 Battle Droids on a single basic card is a good one, as it lets fans build up armies quickly and cheaply. However, the Saga Legends Battle Droid 2packs feature very distinct-looking droids - the first set has a Commander, and the others all have battle damage - resulting in droids not suited for army-building due to identical markings. Will future versions of this 2pack be released in "clean" versions for more army-building potential? In the same vein, will this set ever be retooled to allow the droids to hold the blaster with both hands as the movies consistently showed them, and a few previous figures emulated?
- Originally, it seemed that Saga Legends was supposed to compliment the main TAC line, so as to have multiple "new" figures out at once. However, wave 3 of the main line started showing up at the end of May, and here in mid-August wave 4 is barely starting to show up - yet the first 2 waves of Saga Legends are steadily coming in. Did you stop shipping figures from the main TAC line for a while in order to focus on Saga Lengends? If so, wouldn't that be the opposite of the intended goal of simultaneous shipping? Will more waves of the main line be pushed back this year to allow for Saga Legends figures to gain momentum? Right now fans are getting frustrated at the current lack of authentically new product on shelves and are worrying that the final few months of 2007 will be an avalanche.
- With the fans choice polls over the years, you've shown a great openness to suggestions for figures from the collector community. Would you consider extending the concept of fans choice polls into $20 vehicles and/or Titanium Series vehicles?
- With all the Padme costumes left unmade as 3 3/4" figures, would Hasbro consider making an exclusive multipack - such as the Lucas Family set or the Republic Commando or Death Star Briefing - or even a series of multipacks to get those outfits out of the way? With anywhere from 3 to 7 apiece, they could be organized by movie: Ep I - purple Return to Naboo/Qui-Gon's Funeral; gray Coruscant kimono; black Coruscant/Naboo reception; and perhaps a new, complete version of the senate outfit. Ep 2 - any of the 10 remaining outfits but especially the Chancellor's office outfit; the packing gown; the picnic dress. Ep 3 - there's 9 more outfits, not counting the hospital gown or the funeral gown. Even if you only do a few 3-packs of figures, those are figures that would normally not be seen for years, possibly ever, which fans want. Would you at least consider a Padme evolutions set to get 3 of those unproduced outfits figures out of the way?
- Over the past few years, Hasbro's become adept at using mostly existing bodies to create acceptable figures, both in the main line, and arguably more successfully in the Battle Packs and multipack lines - the upcoming Mandalorian multipacks are the most recent and standout examples of this. With that in mind, might Hasbro consider creating a Rogue Squadron multipack of Rebel pilots utilizing mostly already-existing molds with new heads and new comic- or movie-accurate decos on their helmets? The characters would be taken from characters that already exist in the comics and books. How about alien pilots - such as Gand, Mon Calamari, and Quarren - and female pilots?
- Will the Vintage-style Luke X-wing pilot body be used on height-appropriate pilots like Wedge, Jansen, Hobbie from the films, and perhaps even Corran Horn, Tycho Celchu, Nawara Ven, and others from the EU since they're all closer to Luke's height (around an inch or 2 either way) than the tall stature of the Dutch Vander pilot figure that's up above 6 feet?
- In regards to the Indiana Jones line, would it be safe to assume that characters like Mola Ram, the giant Thugee guard, Temple of Doom "wear & tear" Indy with torn shirt and missing sleeve, Henry Jones Sr., Willie Scott, and Short Round are being considered for the line? After all, they do all seem like logical choices.
- Has Hasbro decided on the look of the Indiana Jones packaging and card art yet, and when will we get our first look at this? Can you give us any indication as to the style you will be going with?
- Will the Star Wars Battle Pack and Comic 2-Pack concepts be used in the Indiana Jones line? How about Indy role-play accessories?
- How many Evolutions packs will we be seeing in 2008?Vote now, and suggest new questions too. Thanks for participating!

a new question:

would Hasbro consider releasing a complete set of clone troopers with no deco at all?
many customizers would enjoy having a blank clone to decorate with their own designs
the white AT-RT driver from the episode 3 tin looks great and easy to alter
how about a box set of one of every clone that is totally blank?
no fancy packaging would be needed, just the plain white mailer box with all of the clones and their rifles in baggies
many customizers would love the chance to have a few army builders of each clone design join their ranks

New question:
Originally, it seemed that the Saga Legends line was supposed to supplement the main line, so as to have multiple "new" figures out at once. However, wave 3 of the basic line started showing up at the end of May, and halfway through August, wave 4 is nowhere in sight but the first two waves of Saga Legends are steadily coming in. Have you stopped shipping figures from the main line in order to focus on Saga Legends, which seems to be the complete opposite of the intended goal of simultaneous shipping? Will more waves this year continue to be pushed back to allow for Saga Legends figures? Many fans are getting frustrated at the current lack of new product on the shelves and are worrying that the final few months of 2007 will be an avalanche.

Interesting. A little specific, but I am curious what they have to say about an unusual idea like this. I'll add it and count your vote for that.

Okay, let's see . . .

I think that should work now. Also, here's another question:

The idea of having two Battle Droids on one card is a nice one, as it lets fans build up armies quickly and cheaply. However, the sets feature very distinct-looking droids - the first one has a Commander, and the others all have battle damage - resulting in droids that would look bizarre if bought in multiples due to their identical marks. Will future versions of this set be released in "clean" versions, which would likely increase sales? In the same vein, will this set ever be retooled to allow the droids to hold the blaster with both hands, as was seen in the films (and has been done on several Battle Droid figures in the past)?

Two new questions:

Does Hasbro have any inkling yet as to the 2008 plans for the Vintage line? I think many collectors are hoping to see some of POTF figures with coins released as part of this subset. Especially a Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper disguise and Lando Calrissian (General Pilot) and Anakin Skywalker (with Sebastian Shaw's head.) Also, would you consider a Yak Face POTF as the mail-away premium for 2008?

Would Hasbro ever consider doing some more sets in the style of the 1995 TRU exclusive Classic Edition 4-Pack, recasting classic figures from the original Kenner molds? This would be a great, affordable way for collectors to realize some of these figures for their displays, especially a Blue Snaggletooth, Vinyl caped Jawa, Power Droid, Wicket, etc. You could it call it the Kenner Historical Collection, or something.

New question:

Hasbro, it's august now and the I am your fathers day 2 packs are just now showing up in significant numbers at my local wal-mart. Actually, there's no question here. I just want to point out that you have several exclusives in the pipeline listed as going to a major retailer that can't even tell what month it is. Having a shelf full of these out now reflects badly on the retailer (not unexpected given which retailer it is) and you. Maybe there's a question afterall, does gross mishandling of the distribution of your exclusives (with the subsequent frustration this causes for consumers) have any effect on your marketing of potential exclusives to clients, or does money always win out?

NEW QUESTION:

Due to the various costumes of Amidala/Padme left unproduced as 3 3/4 inch action figures, would Hasbro ever consider producing an exclusive multi pack (Ala Lucas Family set or the Entertainment Earth sets) for each of the three prequels? There could be three, four, or even five figures per set. Still to be produced from Episode I include: Amidala (purple return to naboo/funeral gown), Amidala (grey Kimono), Amidala (Black Coruscant/reception on Naboo gown), and the Senate version could stand an update, maybe with removable cloak. From Episode II: I don't know where to start. Favoites include the Chancellor's office gown, and the packing for Naboo one which looks much like the upcoming clone wars padme, and the Naboo Picnic dress. From Episode III, I know a pregnant Padme may seem like a tough sell, but she had some funky and interesting outfits and we've only seen the very boring beige Mustafar outfit. We've not even seen the version that appeared on the movie posters (A unique omission). Even if you only do two or three packs of figures that might otherwise take the better part of a decade to reach single card, or perhaps never get made, it's better than the scant few figures we've seen produced in recent years. At the least, would you consider a Padme Evolution set targeting unproduced versions? By the way, thanks and excellent work on the Episdoe II Lucas designed costume Padme coming out in January!

Why do another Fans Choice Poll instead of working off the list you have from top to bottom? Is it because Yarna is next in line for treatment on the other poll?

Please rephase how it needs to be, I know the Yarna part will be left out, but I really would like to know why they dont use the first poll list and go from there.

Figures.com: For years I have waited in hopes of seeing a true vintage line of figures representing characters from Episodes I, II, and III! I know most vintage star wars collectors would go nuts for true vintage scuplts of key characters from the three prequel movies. With the scuplting style of the 80's the vintage line would be the figures to collect.
Hasbro: We have no plans to go back to the true vintage Kenner style of sculpt. We have looked at this several times, and the belief is that while this would be appealing to some, the greater collecting audience wants figures that continue to offer modern sculpting and articulation aesthetics. Any figures done in this [classic vintage] style would not be as popular as figures done in the modern style.

So you accepted my retooled Legends question? It's not in the first post.Crud, something went wrong and it erased when I posted it. I've added, it's now #29 in the list.

Please rephase how it needs to be, I know the Yarna part will be left out, but I really would like to know why they dont use the first poll list and go from there.I'm not ready to add that question, I think the answer speaks for itself already - fan participation. Then again, I was shocked they started working off the list they already had. Plus, to be honest, I think except for Yarna, there's nothing left from the last fan choice poll left to make that got a reasonable amount of votes, and I don't want to just ask another Yarna question.

NEW QUESTION

In the likes of the Mandalorian multi-pack, will Hasbro consider creating a Rebel Pilots (Rogue Squadron) multi-pack using mostly the existing bodies (VOTC Luke and / or Dutch Vandor) and new heads and comic / movie accurate helmets, not inventing new characters, but supporting the ones that already exist in literature? How about the alien pilots? (Gand, Mon Cal, Quarren, and human and alien females in flight suits?)

If we hit 'em with at least one Yarna question per week, maybe they'll get the impression we want her, or something.Between SSG and ActionFigs, we've asked a total of 5 Yarna questions already since the program started - and shockingly, that's more than all the other sites put together from what my records show - and the last response we got on the matter, a few months ago, was a fairly positive one:
Q: She's been one of the most consistently-requested figures since the modern line began, she has far more screentime than Dengar and Bossk and IG-88, a prototype of her was even made for the original Kenner line. She was second runner-up in the ToyFare Fan Choice poll by only a small margin, she had more votes than any other movie character in the poll, and the 2 above her in the poll have already been confirmed to be made (as have Darth Malak, Hermi Odle, ROTJ Luke, Mara Jade, Kir Kanos, Clone Commander, Padme Ilum, and Commander Neyo who all got significantly less votes than Yarna, half of those 4 poll-losers there have even already been released). You obviously recognize some level of demand, based on your April Fools-style joke at 2006 San Diego Comic Con. So why is it that you will joke about collectors wanting a Yarna d'al Gargan figure, but have been unwilling in the past to produce this figure and will not confirm that you are committed to releasing this figure in the foreseeable future?
A: The "April Fool's" spoof was really meant to have fun with the types of more obtuse and macabre characters that some fans have expressed a desire in seeing someday, but a character like Yarna does stand a good chance of becoming a figure at some point. When that is, we can't say for sure, but the odds are very good.
It even specifically mentions the poll issue. I just hate to harp on it over and over, it kinda looks bad to keep saying the same thing repeatedly ad nauseum. It's also not fair to SSG readers who don't care that much about Yarna - for whatever demented reasons they may hold. :p I tell ya what though, find out for me what percentage the top vote getters from the ToyFare fan choice poll that have been made and Yarna's (I wrote it down to create that very question above but didn't hang onto that) and I'll write a question based on "why have you made this guy who only got 2% of the vote when Yarna got 10%, and why are you now doing another fan choice poll after doing so many of the top vote-getters from the previous while still leaving Yarna unmade?" thinking.

(Gand, Mon Cal, Quarren, and human and alien females in flight suits?)I hate to use the Mando sets as examples because they're as yet untested, for all Hasbro knows they're going to die a horrible death in EE's warehouses. Against my better judgment, I'm actually going to include this one with some reworking, you'll need to correct whatever I didn't get right. And I've counted this as your first vote - if you don't vote for at least 3 more, I'm pulling the question. :p

dear hasbro would it be possible if you can retooled dutch vander figure for a better articulated figure by adding vintage luke x wing pilot arms and feet to be a SA rebel pilot figure and later use the mold to create all other pilots like wedge (needed a movie accurate)?

can you also make a small hole on the left lower side of the torso to fit the cord of the chest box to make it a movie accurate?

4- What does Hasbro think about using the New Jedi Order (Yuuzhan Vong) series of novels for source material for the Expanded Universe collection?

22 - With Mandalore being produced for the Mandalorian Evolutions set, will other Tales of the Jedi figures - specifically Ulic Qel-Droma and Exar Kun - be in queue for a future wave of Comic 2-packs?

31 - Padme Evolutions?

Can't say I approve of Tycho's question about rebel pilots. Isn't that pretty much what they're doing already? Every pilot we're getting lately uses the same sculpt and just changes the head. Sure they're not in a handy multipack but same thing. I want new sculpts dammit.

GalacticHunter.com: How plausible would it be to do a figure of a background alien - such as Cane Adiss or Dice Ibegon - that do not have a pre-existing body design? You did an admirable job for Hem Dazon, so has there been any thought to doing these fan favorite characters as well? On Wookieepedia there has been much discussion about the characters' possible alien physiologies so perhaps you could refer to those discussions for design inspiration?
Hasbro: It is very plausible. Not only has it been done for Hem Dazon, as you mention, but also other figures as well that had little definition beyond a mask. Eventually, we'd like to get to all of the Cantina aliens, including Dice, so it's a challenge we will have to face at some point.
Cane is probably a little further down the list, but this Jabba's denizen would certainly be an interesting species to tackle.

From your display at Celebration IV, we noticed that the Dutch Vander Gold Leader rebel pilot sculpt is being used twice MORE for 2 new rebel pilots, Lt. Lepira from the Gold Squadron Y-wing, and from the Rogue Squadron #24 Comic 2pack Hobbie figure. While the Dutch Vander sculpt is pretty nice, many collectors believe it should not be used as the standard rebel pilot body due to its height and oddly-posed arms, not to mention a specific uniform that differs in some ways from other orange-clad rebel pilots. With these 2 new entries, that's 5 rebel pilots - Vader, Wedge, Biggs, Lt. Lepira, and Hobbie - all with the same height (Wedge being especially too tall) and with identical bodies and unusual poses. Might Hasbro start using a different pilot body that isn't as tall or preposed or so identical in costume layout?
The best X-Wing Pilot bodies we have are the Dutch body and vintage Luke. Luke is too short to use on too many pilots so we have stayed away from this sculpt as the basis for any other redecos (most all of the pilots in the Star Wars universe are 6 feet or taller). We see your point about needing another differentiated body at some point for the growing X-Wing Pilot corps, but until we schedule in an all-new sculpt we'll probably continue to use the Dutch body.

I agree that another Yarna question right now is pushing it. She is the figure I most want, but I think we should wait to get a sense of 2008. They have said there is a great ROTJ wave coming next year and there is the rumor they have been sketching Yarna. I think we should wait and see if she is in the cards for next year. If she isn't we should pitch a fit like never before. Frankly, if they aren't making her next year I may quit collecting because I don't think there is a plausible argument for not making her and at that point I think they would not be making her out of spite.

I'll vote for:

#29 - Originally, it seemed that Saga Legends was supposed to compliment the main TAC line, so as to have multiple "new" figures out at once.

(#31) With all the Padme costumes left unmade as 3 3/4" figures, would Hasbro consider making an exclusive multipack - such as the Lucas Family set or the Republic Commando or Death Star Briefing - or even a series of multipacks to get those outfits out of the way?

Dear Hasbro, in regards to the Indiana Jones line, would we be safe to assume that characters like Mola Ram, the Giant Thugee guard, Damaged Indy with torn sleeve, Henry Jones Sr and Willie with short round are being looked at and considered for this line? They all seem like logical choices...

Also, will we see the older movies figures in stores before the new movie figures or after?

TheRealDubya, you have 3 votes remaining.

they can use the dutch body and they can add the luke's arms and feet! But they won't because that would require a lot of costly retooling. Just on the arm issue, you'd have to severely retool both halves of the torso to accommodate those universal-jointed shoulders which require a spherical void inside around new pegholes that'll have to be recessed deeper in the torso design. And retooling that torso isn't just changing 1 tool, it's the front and back torso so 2 parts, and there are usually 8 cavities, each cavity has 2 halves, so you have to identically and symmetrically retool 32 pieces of pressure-treated steel molds to do this, it's expensive and time-consuming. So there's no way they're going to say "well, that's close to just reusing the body without changes".

Also, will we see the older movies figures in stores before the new movie figures or after? They already said that the older movie figures will be in stores before the new movie.

2 -- If Hasbro feels that mid-sized vehicles is the way to go, then will we be seeing more airspeeders and landspeeders in the forseeable future? Some of the airspeeders are pretty much snubfighter sized.

7 -- Some collectors missed out on the Vintage-style figures and now must look to ebay and other wretched hives of scum and villainy for these fine figures. What is the likelihood of seeing any or all of those Vintage-style figures rereleased and getting more of collectors' money directly? (They'd prefer to give it to you rather than overpriced after-market guys.)

10 -- Will Hasbro be re-releasing the straight sections of the cantina bar in the near future to coincide with the release of the curved end pieces coming out? If so, please consider re-releasing the blue Snaggletooth from the K-Mart exclusive as well.

26 -- Fans would like a Dice Ibegon figure from the Mos Eisley cantina to sit with their LaK Sivrak and/or Ketwol figures.

31 -- With all the Padme costumes left unmade as 3 3/4" figures, would Hasbro consider making an exclusive multipack - such as the Lucas Family set or the Republic Commando or Death Star Briefing - or even a series of multipacks to get those outfits out of the way? and a new question about Titanium Series:

My Titanium Series SW vehicles collection is becoming more and more large and I was wondering whether the models in this line have already outnumbered the MicroMachines ones, so I made some math. In the SW MicroMachines lines there are 87 vehicles (OT Vechicles Collections, Shadows of the Empire, Epic Collections, and Episode I Figure/Vehicle Collections, counting just the vehicles), and if we subtract the reissues (battle damaged ships, Speederbike with Luke, Leia, etc) there are 72 unique vehicles. While in the Titanium Series there are 101 SW vehicles (Wal-Mart Exclusives, 5-packs collections, mass retail single packs up to wave 4 2007, the AT-AP wave, counting just the vehicles and not counting silver or gold ones), but if we substract the repaints there are just 48 unique vehicles! Not to mention the fact that many of them (actually 19) are reissues of the old Galoob Die-Cast line. I know we have to be thankful just to have a line of small SW vehicles, but I wonder if 53 repaints in 101 SW vehicles may have a negative impact, like I'd say we are seeing with SW Titaniums, and if a single new vehicle release could help the line more than constantly releasing repaints. What do you think about this at the Titanium Series department in Hasbro?

JT feel free to reword the question if you think it is not suitable for the Q&A.
I borrowed some words from JT and LTBasker posts in the MM and Titaniums thread, thank you guys.

yeah, your right they do suck using the stupid dutch. in the future after they use so dutch body so many times maybe they can make a new sculpt x wing body and add the arms and feet with leg straps (including the removable chest box) of vintage luke x wing pilot so they don't have to make new arms and feet because luke's arms and feet will due ok with new body.

My first vote goes to this new question:

Now that we've seen the curved pieces of the bar, it is obvious that if the center piece of the bar was ever created, there would be no room for Wuhur. The curve is far too sharp, creating very little space between the straight parts. If you ever do create the center part, would there be another straight section (shorter than the straight sections previously released) to fit between the two curved pieces?

BTW, I personally feel this is why playsets have not sold well, because when you have the chance to make one realistically scaled with a decent amount of detail, either the scale is off (like the scale of the curve section) or the details are ignored (like the fact that there were barstools sculpted with the bar sections, yet no barstools in the movie).

Ciao,
JediGoofyHere's what I came up with, will add it to the next round:
The Titanium Series 3" Star Wars vehicle collection is growing larger and larger. When counted against the Galoob's Star Wars Micro Machines line (the original, not the die-cast), the math shows that there were 87 Micro Machines covering the OT, EU, and Episode I, if we subtract the reissues like battle-damaged, speederbikes with new characters, etc., there were 72 unique vehicles. Meanwhile, Hasbro's Titanium line has 101 Star Wars vehicles including single packs, exclusives, and 5-packs (but not gold or silver versions) counting up to 2007 wave 4. However, if we subtract reissues like repaints, there are just 48 unique Titanium vehicles - and 19 of those are reissues from the old Galoob Die Cast line. While we are thankful just to have any line of small Star Wars vehicles, one does wonder if 53 repaints out of 101 may have a negative impact. What does Hasbro think about this issue?

32 Rogue Squadron (is there some way to incorporate question 33 in here also, it seems like making the rest of the Rogues would suck if they use that stupid "Dutch" mold?)'Fraid not, that'd defeat the essence of the original question, they want those figures out at any cost which sadly could mean settling for that Vander body. We did just let Hasbro know that body is unacceptable 2 rounds ago though.

By the way, is question 16 still valid? Seems like the Order 66 packs are old news....Good point. Post thoughts on revamping or removing it in the next round, would you?

4,16,37,22,32,37You can't vote for 37 twice, sorry. Your other votes have been counted though.

BTW, I personally feel this is why playsets have not sold well, because when you have the chance to make one realistically scaled with a decent amount of detail, either the scale is off (like the scale of the curve section) or the details are ignored (like the fact that there were barstools sculpted with the bar sections, yet no barstools in the movie).

and 31, 32 & 33 so farSorry I couldn't post your question in this round, but it'll make it in the next. We've asked something similar in the past but not exactly. I'll mention the barstools too, it's always bothered me and folks I know as well.

20, 21, 30, 37, 27, new question:

In the Galactic Heroes line we have just gotten an AT-AT Commander and Driver figures. Does this increase chances of getting a Galactic Heroes AT-AT?I'll add that in the next round.

Anyway, that's it for voting in this round. The new round is going up right now. Thanks again to everybody who participated with votes and questions.

There was a 6-way tie for the last 2 slots! Crazy crazy!

Anyway, here are the questions we asked from this round:

With Mandalore being produced for the Mandalorian Evolutions set, will other Tales of the Jedi figures - specifically Ulic Qel-Droma and Exar Kun - be in queue for a future wave of Comic 2-packs?
Originally, it seemed that Saga Legends was supposed to compliment the main TAC line, so as to have multiple "new" figures out at once.
With the fans choice polls over the years, you've shown a great openness to suggestions for figures from the collector community. Would you consider extending the concept of fans choice polls into $20 vehicles and/or Titanium Series vehicles?
With all the Padme costumes left unmade as 3 3/4" figures, would Hasbro consider making an exclusive multipack - such as the Lucas Family set or the Republic Commando or Death Star Briefing - or even a series of multipacks to get those outfits out of the way?
Will Hasbro be re-releasing the straight sections of the cantina bar in the near future to coincide with the release of the curved end pieces that were just released? If so, please consider re-releasing the blue Snaggletooth from the K-Mart exclusive as well. Also, on the straight sections, would they be the same or have their inaccurate barstools removed?
How many Evolutions packs will we be seeing in 2008?
