The actress Lois Maxwell, who played Moneypenny in the Bond films, has died at age 80. There never was a good replacement actress for the part, and never will be.

Classy lady. I'll watch "For Your Eyes Only" at some point in the next week or so to honor her memory.

I always liked her character. Rest well, Lois!

Never understood why Bond, James Bond held her off at arm's length while she threw herself at him in all the early movies. :cross-eye

Even as a little kid, I thought she was attractive. :lipsrsealed:

I didn't think she was attractive until she was 18.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

RIP Ms. Maxwell.

The banter between her and Bond was classic and it broke your heart to think why Bond schlupped just about every women he met except her (I guess there is an unwritten rule about dating people from the workplace).

Her best role was in On Her Majesty's Secret Service where her smart thinking saves Bond's career.

Q, M, and now Moneypenny are deceased. Now the original MI6 has been reunited on a greater plane and they can commence getting back to business.

Now I can compose myself to type: Jeez, Caesar, you need to hire a drummer to bang out rimshots for you one-liners. That was great. I still have tears in my eyes! lol

I was really sad about her passing when I read about it the other morning. :(
