John Williams was recently in Chicago to direct the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He put on two different shows. One, all movie themes, awesome, sold out in about a second. The other, American Journey. This was mostly classical music he directed for a millennium celebration, with a couple of movie themes thrown in at the end, ET, and Witches of Eastwick.
But, his encore was the Star Wars theme and Darth Vader's march.
Incredible experience to watch him in action, and hear that music live.
Thank you Mr. Williams for all you have done, and for recognizing the Star Wars fans in the audience, and for not taking the high-brow path.
Your music has introduced many of us to classical music, and we thank you.
Keep it up.
