View Full Version : "Why didn't they use the old Anakin?"

My brilliant daughter (nine years old) was watching ROTJ and without prompting, asks "why didn't they use the old Anakin?" when sparkly glowy Hayd-akin Spirit shows up on screen.
See, even kids know that it doesn't work. So I'm not sure who Lucas was trying make the Prequels and Special Editions for. :shakingheadsidetoside:
Kids also eat paste and shoot other kids in school. They're not all smart.

Anakin actually had multiple personalities. The ghost of Anakin was young, but the ghost of Vader was old. As soon as Vader's ghost got to heaven, he saw Ackmena's ghost. "Dude, she's hot," he said. "I'm totally gonna get me a piece of that." Then Yoda and Obi-Wan went to Endor, and asked Anakin to come along. They didn't recognize Vader's ghost, since they'd never seen him. And so Vader's ghost got his freak on with Dorothy Svornak. Trust me, he was happier than if he'd had to go see that whiny punk kid.
