Just post some ideas of people and groups who haven't, to your knowledge, recorded a Christmas or holiday song, whom you think it would be cool as hayle to have a Christmas recording by.

If someone lists an artist who has recorded some obscure gem, be sure to pop in and tell that person about it. ;)

My wants:

U2 (full album, mixed traditional and modern)
Slash/Velvet Revolver
Pearl Jam
Buddy Guy
Bon Jovi (full album)
Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin
Bobby "Blue" Bland
Michael Jackson (as an adult, er, 40-ish scary monster thing)
Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise
Dave Matthews Band
Tori Amos (full album)
Norah Jones (full album)
Joss Stone
Spinal Tap (full album)

I always thought Public Enemy should do one:

Flavor Flav: Winter Wonderland in full effect boyeeee!

Chuck D: Riding through the snow in an open sleigh, Santa with his reindeer leading the way. Flying around the world with his bag full of toys to give to all the good little girls and boys. Sorry if I don't share in your cheer 'cause Santa ain't comin' to the hood this year.

I'd like Aerosmith to do one sometime, do one with a bluesy feel to it ala Honkin on Bobo.

Also I think Springsteen should do one with E Street - Merry Christmas Baby and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town are among my fave xmas tunes.

Chux, go here and see a cut of Santa Claus from a recent show in London:

Then of course this performance of Merry on Conan a few years ago was delicious:
