View Full Version : Is the Battle Droid a resculpt?

To me it looks like they just took the arms off a Security Battle Droid, and stuck them on a Boomer Damaged Battle Droid.
I still like it though.
The droid is just a security droid without the red part, comes with a backpack, has some of those EP1 slash marks and has some boomer damage,What a total mix of Battle droids!

Don't forget, it doesn't have that stupid little lever from the Security Droid that would actually fit-in with the E2 stuff instead of the POTJ stuff. :D

This is a real waste of a figure. Even if you didnt get 5 battle droid (or one of the 5 or 6 later variants) when E1 came out, you had the opportunity to get as many as you wanted in the $1 or $2 each bins over the past year or so. This is such an unnecssary figure. Since I have so many battle droids and am going to get yet another with the deluxe Mace, there is no need to shell out $7 for a useless rehash.

Not really, it is neccasary, heck the May 3rd Battle Droids should've been this type of mold. We finally get a generic Battle Droid in the action pose.

I agree LTBasker, this isnt an unncessary resculpt at all. As soon as EP1 came out, I realized how bad the first Battle Droid was. The head sculpt didn't look ANYTHING like it should. Thankfully, the security droids looked great and I'm sure they're using the same head mold, so I'm going to buy a few of these.

Battle Droids are always necessary, exspecially when the mold is so excellant like this one.
Now if they'd only make a Pilot Battle Droid, which we may be getting, and a new 00M-9.
