Hasbro still has a hidden secret? A new Millennium Falcon?

Where or when are we going to see pictures of this?

I read somewhere tonight it WON'T be this year.

Nope, no new Falcon this year. Fine by me. I'm already getting plenty of vehicles this year.

3-5 AT-TEs
3 AT-APs
1 Greivous fighter
3-4 Homing Spider droids
1-2 V-19s

That's between $500-$750 just in vehicles!

Actually, it's about time though.

The vehicles interacting with the figures was always what made the 3 3/4" line so special since Kenner's days.

I'm glad to see this happening, even if it will be expensive.

I am glad its not coming out, but then again, there is SDCC.

I've been trying to start a half-thread, but the computer won't cooperate.

This was the biggest bummer for me tonight; given that there is a very few Classic figs this year, I was prepared to drop $150 on this ship!

Oh, well - here's hoping for next year!

I was heart-broken hearted not to find anything for this...No new Falcon!? *Sigh* Oh well more money saved i guess....

Yeah. It might not be revealed until Comic Con with the ship slated for a 2009 release.

You said what I'd been thinking on the matter Tycho. More than likely if they do release it late this, or early next year than we may have to wait until then.

Wow Sal... well if you do get that many of the At-Te and At-Ap you'd better post a pic of the armies with them.

Yeah, I sold one of my two POTF2 Millennium Falcons last week (the boxed one) just so I wouldn't get stuck with it, when news of the new Falcon came out.

Well I'm kind of glad it's not been officially announced just yet. I have way too much to buy already & I thought the year was going to be a real pick/select & choose if needed. Now I have 2 or 3 AT-TE's to get, 2 AT-AP's, 1 Greivous fighter, 1 or 2 Homing Spider droids & 1 V-19. That's quite a bit of vehicles for one year & I haven't even thought about figures/comic packs etc.lol

They may just wait and see how the AT-TE does to release the Falcon. You really don't wanna overload SW fans with too many high ticket items at once.

It would have to be a significant improvement over the vintage toy for me to buy it.

The Falcon is one of those SW ships that I wouldn't mind paying $300-$400 for a REALLY BIG, really accurate 3 3/4" scale version. (I think it would be about 5 feet in diameter if done to the proper scale)

For $150, I would hope that this new version is at least twice the size of the vintage version.

Maybe they will release the Falcon with the Boxed Blu Ray Edition of Star Wars remastered since the Clone Wars toys will be released around the Clone Wars series/movie.

I was also disappointed to hear there was no confirmation of the Falcon. But it still looks to be an expensive year even dropping a bunch of stuff. I will be picking up one of all the new vehicles. And the AT-TE is a must.

Outstanding. This redeems the Star Wars toy year for me.

Trying not to get my hopes up but that would be an awesome toy. I know that properly scaled is pretty much out of the question, but I'm hoping it's significantly larger than the current version.

Although 149 pounds is about $300, so this thing may be HUGE.

Don't forget that, especially if it's a store exclusive, it's going to be considerably marked up in the UK. So more likely $150-$200 here.

This sounds promising. I probably won't get it, but I know how much everyone wants one.

I think it's all just wishful thinking.

I think it's a done deal. Hasbro will stop dancing around it when they're ready to fess up to it (SDCC?) I'm sure this wouldn't be an exclusive.

I found this link though Galactic Hunter. Play.com has it available for preorder with a release date of August 31, and claims it's designed by the guy who did the original Falcon for Kenner. No pics yet, so for me I can't really call this a confirmation.

For $300, I should HOPE that there would be two gunner chairs. But if it has a release date of August 31st, shouldn't Hasbro unveil it a lot sooner than Comic Con?

Not really, alot of stuff from TF is sowing up now and that was 5-6 weeks ago

Ok. IF this turned out to be reality, I guess I'd make a concession to my non vehicle buying policy and get it if the access rampway was vastly improved. if the cockpit was a four seater. the gunner stations at least had clear plastic veiwports though I'm not concerned about having the actual gunner station seats. the hold with the dejarik table resembled the movie set in as much as having the seats and sculpted bulkheads rather than just a cardboard insert and a removable panel of deck grating. plus the corrider from the hold to the cockpit with removable deck panels. improved landing gear with possibly the fourth leg. the drop down gun on the belly, escape hatch on the top hull and opening cargo hatch between the front forks. I'd certainly expect any removable hull sections to stay in place when the ship is inverted.

I'd rather see more detail than have electronics. and if there are electronics then lights rather than sound effects or movie sound bites. an illuminated cockpit and engine thruster array and the front fork lights are all i'd want.

If it's 150 in Britain, it'll probably only be $150 in the States - there seems to be a very different exchange rate where SW toys are concerned.

When is Comic Con?
