So far I bought the first 5 I saw, plus I saw another 4 today.

That's 9 total that I've found so far.

I saw 8 of them 3 weeks ago, but now, nothing. Even with new stock put out twice at the same Wal-Mart in the last 3 days the Deuce has been strangly absent from the pegs.

I've seen only two Deuces and that was last Sunday at Target. I've yet to see the Panning Droid.

Is he rare or something? I bought him off the selves last week. And that was after going back due to much anti-prequels consideration. He was surrounded by Evolution packs that inculded the jango, bane and qui-gon packs.

I didn't walk away thinking I'd found something; I walked away wishing he had an ESB figure stand rather than a ROTS base.

I've left at least 6 of these on the pegs today, and about 10 this week. What so special about it?

I did the same  thing when I saw stupid figures like Battle Fatigued Vader, Roham Kahn, Maris Jade, Black Royal Guard, Imp Officer with boobies, and two MORE clones.

Then I covered 4 of the pegs with Deuces, so the toy aisle looked as classy as could be. The Tri Droid and Mining Droid helped out 2-1B as well.

Wal Mart is Princeton has four of these...and no Panning Droids!
Force Unleashed sold out this morning in less than an hour though. I was quite surprised.

I found Juno Eclipse at Wal-Mart and that was the only Force Unleased figure they had, so it must have went quickly here too.

So, Caesar. Are you building up and army of 2-1B's to take over the universe?

I should, but I only have 2 for myself.

I've seen 4 all together, bought 3 for myself and one for Turbowars. Saw 2 panning droids once, at the same target, had I known they were so scarce, I'd have picked them up for others *woops Who knew, who knew?

If I see more Deuces, I shall grab them as well and make a Deuce Army so my Deuce Army and Caesar's Deuce Army can play with each other ;)

I've also noticed that the Panning Droid is pretty scarce, which makes me glad I picked one up on the first go. I saw 3 of them the same time I saw the Deuce, and nothing since.

Panning droid is the only one from wave 1 I haven't found yet, but I ordered one from Hasbro along with another Kashyyyk Trooper and Tri-Droid.

Be careful not to drop a Deuce in the wrong the place.

If you build a large enough Deuce army, all your female figures will swoon.

Yeah, they're naturally drawn to his probing tool.

The one on his arm, I mean.

Sure you did, Caes . That's funny though, because my Deuce keeps finding his way onto the shelf with all the Padmes. If he wasn't the Deuce I'd think it was weird.

I found a double dose of Deuce on my front porch this morning, in a HUGE box covered with Deuce imagery, stuffed carefully with crumpled (I flattened 'em back out) photocopies of Deuce- I had anticipated a single Deuce but seeing the two of them did something profound to my mind, instant Zen I tells ya.

BTW looks for the packaging and of course some Deuce action in the near future with "Rockin Deuce part Deuce- Take Care, Sir!!"
(and yet another heartfelt thanks to the sender, you know who you are and what that damn package did to me when I saw it DAMN, finding en extra Deuce in there put it RIGHT over the top)
:beard: Iso&Baws
With all this Deuce it'll take NO time to evacuate the T-47s!!!

Found The Deuce last night -- he really is a tiny little dude, but super, super well done. I'm 100% satisfied on Deuce-Un-Bee for life now. The leg design works fine for ESB for me.

One Two ended up in my cart from Target this week, and I left the other Two Twos there for another. I also saw a Lava Soap Droid and passed on it, but I've been passing on many a fig lately, so I am not bummed about doing that.

I've seen all of wave one on the pegs multiple times at WM's in the area. Nothing has been hard to find so far.

I must admit, I've seen more Gree's than 2'brs though.

From Wikipedia:

"The M2 Machine Gun, or Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun is a heavy machine gun designed towards the end of World War I by John Browning. It was nicknamed Ma Deuce by US troops or simply called "fifty-cal." in reference to its caliber."

I wonder if Hasbro has ever considered a convention exclussive silver Deuce

My Deuce has one leg that's longer than the other one. It's bothering me a bit so I might need to buy another one. Either that or display him in the same sort of poses that one would make for clones or the new Obi-Wan and Anakin.

mabudonicus
03-19-2008, 09:41 AM
I think the legs are the same length, just the left one is a bit bent so as to give him a bit of a wobble- if you pose him in extreme action this isn't an issue tho, might wanna try that
:beard: Iso&Baws
he looks real good in action poses, unrealistic tho they might be

I disagree.

He looks very realistic in action poses. And I will post pics to prove it. :21B:

I saw wave 1 at a wal-mart today for about the third or forth time. By now, most of the people who buy up entire cases have gotten them and moved on and figures are starting to move according to interest in individual figures.

There were at least 5 Gree's, 3-4 Kashyyk troopers, a smattering of Anakins and Obi's, more Po Nudos than you could shake a very large stick at and even 3 tri-droids, but there were no 2-1B's or lava droids.

I figured the Kashyyk and Grees would be the first to go with the other droids with toobers selling out soon after and Ani, Obi and Po pegwarming until clone wars figures come out. I may still have the last part right, but there must be some organized national cult of 2-1B fans buying them out as soon as they hit the shelves. :craziness:

Still absolutely nothing at my Target. Nothing has moved since the first of the year, and nothing new has been put out. Peg warmer Biggs is collecting dust. TRU is on the other side of town and not worth the effort.

At the risk of getting into trouble, the Target and WM on my side of town are what I refer to as "third world" stores. My side of town has a very large Sikh and Hispanic population. There has been a general exodus of WASPs from my area of town to the west side of the city. There is a noticeable difference between the physical appearance of the facilities and stock items between my stores, and the stores in the more affluent side of town. The rich folk have a Target Greatland, and the WM a more upscale as well. My stores tend to cater to the surrounding population. I guess SW isn't a popular line with the locals as witnessed by the peg warming Mr. Darklighter.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised one of these days and actually find something new.

not only is he the most popular, Must Have 2008 (sorry KH), he moving into "most hooked up" position too, awesome!!!
Haven't even looked for him at retail around here lately, weather's been TOO crappy and I'm working out techinical issues to get "Take Care Sir" done
:beard: Iso&Baws
he is STILL awesome tho and always will be, proving nobody truly needs pack-ins
