I can't recall if this has been covered before, but I'd personally like to see the TX-130 Saber class fighter tank made.

It was in the Battlefront 2 game, IIRC. So it has some merit to be made as a toy. (Hey, if you can make a Rebel Vanguard figure...)

Not only that but there are three known color schemes to this that would work to Hasbro's favor since they are known for reissues with different paint jobs. First there is the one with red markings, then a more generic all grey one, then the more advanced one with blue markings.

This could fit at the least 3 clones, and possible up to 5 for a toy. So that means more figure sales as well. There isn't many "working" parts other than the turret and the "wings" to the side. Even there, Hasbro could cheap out and mold them in the attack position.

It's certainly something in the $20 price range which fits their business model for vehciles/ships.

What do you folks think?

Ok, so I've been taking some measurements based off the size as posted on starwars.com's databank. The toy in scale with an AOTC clone would be:

16.75 in long
6.25 in wide and
a little over 4 inches tall
(It's quite a flattish ship, though it does hover above the ground)

This is very doable I would think for starfighter scale.

Though when I drew out the dimensions it seems to me to be too skinny width wise.

So something a little more squarish width and length would work. I'm thinking 12in long by 8 in wide, and keeping the 4in height.

That's definitely in size with the starfighters and not much out of scale. Considering the slim height of this, it would be easy to put several on a store shelf and they won't take up much room on the shelf as well as a person's private collection.

Also, it would only fit 3 inside, however you could mold pegs on the outside of the tank to allow for 4 more clones to "ride." Though please put the pegs in somewhat conspicuous areas so they don't detract from the look of the vehicle.

Again, with no less than three paint schemes, this could be a winner for you.

Also, it's been in several games and novels, so it truly has merit:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars game (First appearance)
Star Wars Republic: The Siege of Saleucami novel
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith novel
Star Wars: Battlefront game
Star Wars: Battlefront II game
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron game

It's very much an action oriented vehicle.
And dare I say it, you could adapt it to the G.I.Joe line as well!

So what do you say Hasbro?

Respectfully submitted,

I wouldn't mind it, but I'd insist mine was from Clone Wars. Then I can beat my wife with it.

(What? We like multiplayer shooting games, and I kick her butt in Clone Wars every time!)

Yeah, we've been campaigning for this in the Q&A, we've asked about it a couple times, they said "if it's supported by animation", and since LEGO is doing one for the Clone Wars line, my guess is it IS supported by animation and Hasbro will follow suit. I hope that's the case, I do want one of these, it's in both Battlefront games.

Wait, no Sh...really? Wow, I'm going to have to get the LEGO one. Got a link?

Man, I really hope it gets made. That's one of my next most wanted vehicles.

Hmm, perhaps I should revisit the vehicles poll I did last year, kind of like the figure poll going on now in the 30AC section of the boards.
