I have a friend that I'd like to buy some Star Wars art for to put up in his office. I'm looking to pay anywhere from $100-$200. Any suggestions on what I should be looking for?

Do a search for Star Wars canvas prints. There are quite a few out there in your price range but most of the ones I've seen online are being sold by UK outfits.

Here's a huge selection. There are some awesome ones there.

I'd go with Ralph McQuarrie or Dave Dorman prints. Do google search on these artists and you'll find lots of stuuf. Plus McQuarrie did portfolios for all three movies, SW, ESB and ROTJ you can get from ebay, definitely suitable for framing!!

He could buy, like, twenty Hasbro action figures and glue them to the wall.

Those would be sculptures, not drawings (or drawrings, like Mike Myers would say in that "Simon" sketch on SNL).

Thanks for the suggestions, that's what I really needed was a starting point. Who knows if what your buying off eBay is an actual collectible, or if your being conned.

I'm always wary of that word "collectible." I mean, if it's nice and you like it, then get it! Who cares if some random book has declared something "collectible" or not?

Of course if something is a fake that's another story in which case you should still get it but insist on paying much much less. But everything is collectible as long as there are people who want to collect it! :)

could always try that SW wallpaper that's printed like backdrops from the movies. a whole wall covered in a coruscant skyline or whatever. think they have it on the official site. or rather an article about it. not sure who makes it. genuinely licensed stuff though.

Some people even collect "fake" collectibles. Just look at all those people who buy the bootleg Star Wars figures.
