Today I spotted roughly 85% of the new Narnia line at my local Glen Burnie TRU in Md. They look pretty sweet, lots of Ray Harryhausenesque creatures plus Telmarines, an evil king & of course the Pevensie kids. Nice playsets, two-packs, role-play weapons, all kind of stuff. I passed on Golden Compass; the movie tanked & I seriously doubt the studio will finish the trilogy, let alone get Daniel Craig & Nicole Kidman back. THis line makes up for it biggtime, especially if you like LOTR.

So far I've bought the Aslan boxed set, Griffin boxed set and the 2 pack with the Minotaur. I would've bought the 9.99 Deluxe Aslan but it looks like a rehash of the Disney Store Aslan available a few years back.

Did your store have the battle catapult...that looked pretty cool as well. I agree on the deluxe Minotaur. I may get a coupla Telmarines.

jon, yes my local TRU does have the battle catapults but alas the lack of storage space in my place keeps me from getting it. I'll probably have to pass on that gigantic castle playset though it does look impressive (hear that Hasbro???)

Be careful when opening up the figures (that is if you do open). When I was taking Edmund out of the Griffin box, one of the arms broke off!

I love the Narnia series... the movie and BBC series are pretty good too.
If they ever do a Dawn Treader, count me in.

Figrin, Edmund had it coming... smartmouthed brat!

Target is getting these in as well, although their pog set date is the 11th so you may or may not see them there before then.

Good to know as I've only seen them at TRU's and it's not a great sign for a toy line when only 1 retailer carries them.

I saw an entire endcap of Caspian toys at Target today, in fact. I was really surprised to see more of this line in stock than Indy, actually. Anyhow, I bought a Susan/Reepicheep and Trumpkin/Trufflehunter. Surprisingly, Reep and Truffle have a bit of articulation.

Does anyone know if or when a second series of figures comes out? If you look at Toy Fair photos of the castle playset. They have figures of Caspian's teacher, a white minotaur, and a dwarf in battle armour positioned all around the castle. The figures look "finished and they're NOT repaints.

I have seen these. They aren't too bad and the prices are great. I will probably get an Aslan because I missed the disney version. The prices for the swords are low! 9.99! Not bad at all. Why can't hasbro be this cheap? Hmmmmm

I could be wrong but the $9.99 Deluxe Aslan (in scale with the other Marvel Legends sized figures) looks like it could be the same mold, or at least very similar to the Disney Store version from a few years back.

I'm curious to know how the toys are selling in everyone else's neck of the woods. Here in Los Angeles, it seems like I'm the only one that has bought any. It'll be interesting to see if the movie release spikes up interest among kids or collectors.

Jonthejedi, I guess this reply is late but Lucy only comes in the boxed set with Aslan.

At my local target they are not selling well at all ! Maybe the movie will help them sell more . Even the Speed Racer toys are outselling this line.
