Another one? (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS15497&mode=retail&picture=out) Really? I'm not sure about this one, but it makes sense with the new Biggs, I guess.

No matter how they paraphrase it, Darklighter is still one of the worst Star Wars comics ever published and deserves no figures.

I've never read this series. I hope that the Rebels weren't trying to draw attention to themselves as that gigantic insignia on the wings just isn't gonna help them much. LOL

06-16-2008, 03:01 PM
Looks terrible.

06-16-2008, 03:17 PM
While I think a TIE fighter varient with an astromech socket would be interesting, I DONT like the whole Rebel symbol painted on the SOLAR PANELS thing.

That's just stupid.

And I don't see where the droids are supposed to hook up to.

If it has the astromech and the hyperdrive unit I'm all over it. If it's just a repaint then I'll probably pass.

06-16-2008, 05:01 PM
Looks gimicky. Already have 3 different large wing TIEs.
Easy pass

06-16-2008, 07:11 PM
Well, I've got all 3 big wing fighters. I don't need this one, so it'll be a pass for me too.

06-16-2008, 07:57 PM
No interest in this at all.

06-16-2008, 08:22 PM
I just want the figure, no interest in the vehicle itself.

06-16-2008, 08:25 PM
What the heck? How lame.

What's next, Imperial X-Wing fighters?

This would have made a fine Titanium ship. NOT worth $40.

06-16-2008, 10:05 PM
As someone that reads ever comic, I can't even remember Darklighter, that's how memorable it was. As for $55 plus shipping for a Tie I can get at TRU for $40, yike. I'd imagine shipping will be at leat $10 for that huge box.

Of all the exclusives to put out the best they can come up with is this? I'm really starting to think Hasbro wants the line to end. From animated clone figures to crazy EU, to hardly any OT, they're really gambling alot imo. I WILL not be buying this initially. I have every TIE to date, but enough already. Where's my Shodow Tie ;)

Previews did so good with the Sandcrawler and the Death Star Briefing Set but who the heck green lighted this garbage...

06-16-2008, 10:05 PM
Hate to beat a dead horse, but dumb. I may get the Imperial X-Wing though....

06-16-2008, 11:23 PM
Yeah, this reeks of a Titanium Series repaint for $6, not a full-sized for ten times as much. You can actually see the "zzz"'s over my head viewing this turkey.

06-16-2008, 11:38 PM
I am in agreement. This is garbage. It looks like CRAP! I guess that is why it is a previews exclusive; no one would buy it if it were in the stores. hehehe

06-17-2008, 07:58 AM
I'm sorry, but with that huge rebel insignia, even for $25 and free shipping I would pass on this cr@p.

(Scans thread.)

If this is the Pirate TIE, where's the Jolly Roger? :Pirate:

I loved the first 'Correct scale' solar wing version and loved its Classic white variant one this year. But this, NO WAY!!!

I might pick up the figure if i can find it on ebay, but I'm not sold on the TIE.

No joke. I went to Rite-Aid to get another Cobra set, and saw they'd put several of these out. No pricetags, but everything else in the seasonal aisle is $19.99 or less. If you want this POS, check your local Rite-Aid.
