Well Hasbro confirmed this at Comic Con, who's getting it?

I'll get one or two most likely. Pricepoint will determine multiple. If $20-25 then 2, if $30 then only 1. Between $25-30, I'll have to open it to see if I like it that much to make a decision on 2.

Me, I'll buy this.

I'm 99% sure it'll be a $20 vehicle, that's their magic pricepoint. LEGO's is a $50 for no discernible reason, they just throw a lot of little parts to make a medium-sized ship with only a few features, so there's no way I'm going to bother with that entry. But a Hasbro one should do better.

They let this slip in such a funny way, I really doubt it was intentional.

(Raises Hand).

If I have 4 of the V-19's I will need opposing forces...I hope it is a $20 ship.

It was confirmed? When?

For this year or 2009?

That would be totally cool!

Are you sure they are not talking about a Titanium? There's already pics of that from SDCC.

No, they're talking a figure-scale ship, read my panel write-up, it explains how they let it slip:
http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=48&p2_articleid=1577
"First up was Clone Wars basic figures, including the Magnaguard which they let slip will fit the previously-unannounced Magnaguard Fighter vehicle."

Anyone know if it's coming out this year or is it next year?

Next year most likely, or they would have shown it at SDCC. The figure isn't even coming out this year.

Of course, there's no reason the Magnaguards can't fly these(All they needed to do was "appropriate" some from Utapau, which would have been easy if they occupied the planet this early in the Clone Wars), but my point is that if anyone recognised the craft(And if it's going to be a regular ship piloted by the magnaguards in the show, it SHOULD have been spotted), and someone sent to see why the Utapauans were supplying the Seperatists with fighters...(Thus hastening the discovery of the occupation of Utapau).
But even then, i don't suppose anyone would have cared during wartime...
Forget i spoke...
On the other hand, i am glad they have finally made a toy of this!!!(One of my favorite EPIII vehicles!)

That does indeed look pretty great. It's not a particularly well-known ship (even to me) but they did it justice, it seems.

I have no doubt it's the typical hasbro "re-scaling" to make it as small as they can while still maintaining some proportion.
But it does look very nice.
I'll certainly get one.

I picked up the Titanium Series version of this ship a few days ago, and I have to admit that I'm less than ecstatic about the prospect of this as a $20 ship now. There's nothing essentially wrong with it, but the design is very plain as a toy, there's very little going on. I hope Hasbro can find something cool for it to do beyond just shooting missiles, because otherwise it's just not going to jazz folks up. It doesn't have a particularly exciting shape, it doesn't have lots of details, it's just kinda "there".

No. This ship hasn't even been previewed by Hasbro at a toy show yet.

Though it seems to be real, I think the picture that was linked to was just an artistic rendering and the actual toy hasn't been seen yet.

I hope this means they will also make the Twilight.

No, that was honest-to-God Hasbro photography with the weird lighting.

Most Def. I'd so buy a twilight ship.

I saw it at a few stores today and got it for $19.99 at a Target (other stores had it for $24.99 or somewhere between the two). I like the vulture droid better, probably since it's been fairly prominent for about ten years while the Magnaguard fighter isn't nearly as well known. Still, it's pretty fun. It's quite purple, which looks cool. The animated magnaguard fits in the cockpit really well; I haven't tried the regular one yet. They have handles that he can hold onto, which looks cool. As for any actual features, there's the obligatory firing missiles and two compartments into which you can put the magnaguard's staff, though the clips in there are a little too small to do much good.

If you only want to get one of the new ships, I'd say get the vulture droid, but this one is still good, too.

I bought this to stand in for the IG-2000 and posted about it in some other thread. Dunno which. My IG-88s are in storage however. I'd like to see what one looks like flying this ship.

I picked this up at Target yesterday. The cockpit is pretty tight, it fits the animated Magnaguard perfectly but shoving a clone trooper in there was a challenge, I dunno how you're gonna get an IG-88 into there - the control panel would get in the way of where you could bend the knees.

Anyway, the toy itself is kind of a bland entry, the box shows the original with its thin cockpit and heavy wear from the show, then the toy is this bulbous cockpit and has ZERO wear. The purple metal color is decent though, shiny, and subtly sports black versions of the logo on the back of Grievous' cape.

Wide ship, decent sculpting but not tremendous detail (there are small panels exposing a little engine that have nice detail inside tho'). Side guns are missile launchers, not an effective iteration of their guns but there is a little of that detail. Moving tail engines are too small, not covered inside, so boring. The large pointy things at the front are rubbery and not aimed quite right, wobbly so they might get better with time.

Interior clips claim to hold magna's staff, but not the right diameter, the staff can sit on top of them though so it works out. Cockpit has ok detail, canopy looks very nice and clean, magnaguard fig fits perfectly and holds slidey controls. For me, its saving grace is the pull-down landing gear, the rear leg of which has 2 hinges making it quite nifty. More wear deco, slightly larger, or more exciting moving parts would have made this a better toy, as it is it's just ok.

Ahh okay...
On the forum i frequent the most, a can of coke is widely regarded as the best "yardstick" so people can tell exactly the scale of an item.
We all try and use the can in different ways, but it's the one item almost everyone has a reference for(You just need to curl your hand and imagine it holding a coke, to get the proper sizing (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/All_the_good_usernames_are_taken/Daedalus/NewDaedalusimagesseptember0710.jpg)).

Garage kit. I can PM you a link of where to buy one if you're interested.
Made with these two pinkies...(Obviously, this being the internet, you can't see my pinkies, but i am holding them up and wiggling them...)
And on the same subject, i built one (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/All_the_good_usernames_are_taken/Daedalus/Odyssey4.jpg)and gave it to Bruce Woloshyn (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/All_the_good_usernames_are_taken/Stargate%20Misc/CIMG1225.jpg)of Rainmaker effects when i was in Vancouver last year. He made me a very nice one of a kind print as a return gift (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g19/All_the_good_usernames_are_taken/Stargate%20Misc/CIMG1636.jpg).

According to new shots of the Titanium Series at YodasNews.com, the Cad Bane's Xanadu Blood ship is just a repainted Magnaguard Fighter. Hopefully the Cad Bane figure can fit in the cockpit since I can smell a repaint coming right up. It's got a pretty cool Vietnam-like paint scheme.
