Read this just a few minutes ago. Complications due to pneumonia? Wow. I thought he was one of the best supporting comedic actors around; he made many a show/film better, without dominating the screen.

Wow, a funny man, dies young, due to pneumonia. May he R.I.P.

I just started the same thread in TV a few minutes after this one. Sad and shocking. R.I.P.

Wow, hard to believe.

Aside from his role in Transformers, I've not watched any other movies he's done. I know he had a long-running TV show but I never tuned in for that either.

While I wasn't a big fan of his show, there were several of his movies I enjoyed. Very sad in the fact that he really wasn't that old. R.I.P, Mr Mac.

I really enjoyed his stand up and several movies he was in. Never did get into his show either. Very saddening news... may he R.I.P.

I didn't like Transformers, and I thought his show was a bite-off of Titus (though not bad), but, other than that, he was a damned funny guy.

Bernie Mac and Jim Henson both dead at early ages due to pneumonia.... Someone needs to make a public service announcement.

Well that sucks. No more cameos in Transformers. I didn't follow his career too much, but I liked some of his work.

Dead at 50? Wow, too young.

He had some great dialogue in "Bad Santa", especially the interactions he had with Marcus. :)

This is a total bummer!
I really like his TV show and everything I've seen him in.
A truly funny guy.

Man that is a downer. My friends and I were just immitating him yesterday and laughing. I won't be able to watch that one scene in Bad Santa now the same way.

I know he was in Oceans 11 and so on movies. Kings of Comedy as well.

Yeah, he was never a big draw for me, but I didn't dislike him and couldn't say anything bad about him. It's definitely a shame he was only fifty.

I loved Bernie Mac; his show was very positive, funny, and family oriented. And his stand up in KINGS OF COMEDY is my favorite of the film. My family clip of his was telling the story of his sister's kids and the bus driver. i was in tears the first time I saw this bit. Check it out on youtube, under Sister's Kids or something along those lines.

RIP Mac.

My favorite moments of his were the time he was locked in a trunk in "The Player's Club"

His listening to John Ritter's character in "Bad Santa" while he elaborately preps the eating of his oranges. <wow> it just hit me, that that scene(s) will live in infamy since both of those comic greats have been taken from us.

His rant to Kid in House Party 3 on "being yourself."

The FOX station here ran a rerun of The Bernie Mac Show tonight where there was a funeral scene. Coincidence, or program change?

And Mod(s), you may merge this thread with the one in Misc., if you wish. I started that one before I saw this'n, even though both have 5+ replies now.

Damn, that sucks. My family always used to watch his show. Too bad.
