Thought I'd provide a link to this since they mention "Star Wars" and stuff. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2002/02/17/wbush217.xml&sSheet=/news/2002/02/17/ixworld.html

I just came on to post the same link, with a comparison to the blockade runner, but your republic gunship is even more fitting. Yep, the coil equipped AC-130 'son of spectre' sure does sound like the prototype for some next-generation space age military fleet. Imagine the power to be weilded if, as it says in the article, the engineers get the power pack down to a size where it could be mounted in a craft like the predator unmanned aircaft. That would also permit it to fit in a car, or maybe even carried and fired by a man on-foot. Wow. or just Ow, if you're on the receiving end!

(thank goodness for ol' Drudge)

Has anyone seen the military video on the new smart truck that the US is working on? It looks like they designed it to be used in a Kurt Russel film, rather than SW. Does anyone know more about the "smart truck"?
