Does anyone know if Hasbro has given an answer or indication on when we might get a new updated Landspeeder. Was hoping it would be soon. It needs to be updated.

I agree would love to see an updated Landspeeder as well as a repainted green landspeeder as seen in TPM.

I'd like to see one that could hold an r2 unit on the back, sit two passengers, and a driver. With better detail of course.

I thought the 2002 one was fine . . .

They released Luke's landspeeder in 2002? Or a different one?

I think he means the TRU exclusive that was packaged with a Luke figure. It was a new sculpt. I never found one and would love to see it reissued.

mmm the last one they released was ok. though it could do with a slightly deeper lower section to allow the figures to fit in better and bigger transparent wheels to lift it higher off the ground. Plus the paint apps need accurising.
Other than that the only thing i'd add would be a pack in of the engine cowling panel from the left thruster.

R2 only balances on the back by the way. it's his weight that holds him there. and 3PO sits sort of side saddle fashion.

I think if hasbro want to attract buyers to the vehicle line up some speeder additions would make sense. lower cost and more playability for smaller kids.
personally I'd snap up speeders at first sight whereas i walk right on by the starfighters.

Here (http://www.rebelscum.com/sagalandspeeder.asp) is the 2002 one. They could rerelease it in a pack or something, but I'd rather they focus the new tools on something else since it's still pretty spiffy.

i strongly disagree.

No plans to re-release the 2002 version or do a new version. Their answers have been that they want to, but always think of more exciting stuff, so it never gets done. I also would like to see it get done though.

I like the 2002 one. All it lacks is space behind the driver and passenger seats for Threepio to put his legs when sat on the back - and the paintjob, though good, is inaccurate.

threepio didn't have his legs down behind the seats. the actual prop doesn't have a space there. He has his legs across the back of the seats and his body is twisted so he faces forward. I've gone through the whole sequence frame by frame trying to figure it out because i was going to cut a hole for his legs but after checking thoroughly i discovered he's just perched on the back same as R2.

if the CGI shots show differently then obviously the guys that created the shots didn't do their homework.
