So the passionate discussion about women in the "depressed about your collection" thread got me thinking about those moments as a boy were women “accelerated” your ascension into manhood.....

*Keeping in the spirit of forum decorum, and without detailing gratuitous personal information better suited for other forums, or Fark.com articles.....what fictional women (characters), played key roles in your transition from boy to man? Maybe a brief explanation too….

My selected short list would be:

Leia in Jabba slave gear: enough said

Elvira: femme fatal has never looked....ahem....fuller.....

Wilma Deering from Buck Rodgers….the episode with those telekinetic-powered midgets….

Catwoman, Batman Returns: see comment on Leia above
The women from Dickens’ Great Expectations: can’t really explain that one, except to say that Pip’s draw to Estella vs. the better, obvious choice, Biddy, had a lot to say to me about unrequited desire for the wrong types of women….sadly I made the same mistakes as Pip in college!
Juliet, of the Shakespeare fame: a lot to say about passion and the tragedy that often is love.

Princes Buttercup: the virtue of true love....and great filmmaking!

Ripley: Aliens 2 made me rethink women as heroes.

Wonder Woman: Thank you Linda Carter. God loves you.

The Barronness: Is that why Sarah Palin is so popular right now? :D

i have to agree with alot of your choices there ( Ie Slave Leia, Elvria, The Baroness)

here's some more though:

Scarlett - GI Joe - true she's a cartoon but still what more can be said

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Sarah Michelle Geller) - all I can say is wow - true i was already a man but there is still a kid inside me

Kristy McNicol - she looked so cute in The Pirate Movie

Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) - super hot

I saw the topic and thought this thread was about cougars.

But yeah, now that you mention it, Sara Palin does remind me of the Baroness. lol

Hehehe, yeah me too, I hit the link pretty quick once I saw the title.

Anyway, Alyssa Milano, has always been a big one for me. We are about the same age (she was born Dec. '72, me May '74) I remember watching her on "Who's the Boss" and all the teen mags that featured her when I was growing up.

I was (still am) in love with her in a big way. Not like a creepy stalker way, more of an "I'll watch just about anything she's in" sorta way.:D

And, yes, I have every season of "Charmed" and "Embrace of the Vampire" on DVD but no copies of "Double Dragon" even I have my limits.
