View Full Version : StarCon in Colorado!
02-18-2002, 12:22 PM
StarCon is about 2 months away, and so far NO Star Wars guests. Which does not supprise me because because apparently Star Wars guests are hard to get. At lest they are for my convention people.
Anyway, they did get a couple of guests from Star Trek including Marina Sirtis and Connor Trineer.
02-19-2002, 06:35 PM
Billy Dee Williams is COMING!!!!
02-19-2002, 07:45 PM
Jayspawn, that's great!!:) I've never seen him before!
02-19-2002, 07:52 PM
Yeah! I'm gonna bring him some Colt 45!
02-19-2002, 10:52 PM
Plese Billy for your popularity sake, DO NOT CHARGE 20 flippin dollars for your autograph, like a certian Admiral lets say M. did a couple years ago. What RU guys gonna have him sign? i scanned the pic from the newest insider of him. (The Last Page). I am totally looking foreworrd to this one, it is shaping up to be COOOOL. Now everything will be perfect if i can get someone to go with me so we can take turns in the line for Billy. That would be EXCELLENT!!!
I also hope to get some cool Star Wars collectibles there as well, saving up now, trying to get as many hours as i humanly can.
What days RU goys going? (Sat and Sun Tix get Friday free)
02-20-2002, 01:04 PM
I cannot wait to get my little flyer in the mail, send it in, and get my ticket in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This year i might actually have to stay all day.
I am probobly going on Friday/Saturday
02-20-2002, 05:01 PM
I gonna have him sign an 8X10 from ESB. I'm probably gonna be there all weekend. On account that Billy Dee, Marina Sirtis and Connor Trineer are going to be there. Starland finally got some great guests for a change. I can't wait!!!
02-20-2002, 07:19 PM
What if he is charging 20 bucks for an autograph, the only way im shelling out the money if it is for charity
02-25-2002, 01:19 PM
I would pay $20 for Billy Dee's autograph because Lando is one of the main Star Wars characters. If he was a jawa or an ewok I wouldn't pay that much.
02-25-2002, 01:52 PM
PLEASE DON'T CHARGE IT WOULD SAVE ME MONEY, I WOULD PAY IT THOUGH...
What days are you all going?
Also, in the event of us being there at the same time, maybe we should like reserve a table or figure out a metting place or something.
02-25-2002, 04:44 PM
I haven't figured out if I'm going yet, but if I do it will most likely be on Sat. Once it gets closer to the con, perhaps a suggested place can be planned at that time.
02-25-2002, 07:24 PM
SMASHING keep me informed
02-26-2002, 11:15 AM
Thats a good idea mrhat. I've kinda wanted to meet you guys for a while. Yes, we shall definatly have to arrange something as the Con gets closer as r2 suggested.
02-26-2002, 04:31 PM
I find it strange that we seem to be in the same places and dont see eachother, or it is possible we don't recognise eachother, maybe a reserved table in the breakfast place, would be benifical, we could put it under SirSteve or something like that.
03-03-2002, 12:31 AM
You know I bet we've all run into eachother a bunch of times and don't even know it. Crazy isn't it?
03-03-2002, 02:01 PM
Totally Crazy, an far out, i hope we can meet, this time.
03-04-2002, 01:45 PM
With StarFest, about a month, and then some, maybe we should make a table reservation, NOW, so at least we can sit and chat over coffie and scones (maybe not the scones)
03-09-2002, 10:36 AM
Anthony Michael Hall is going! Thats cool. I'd never expect to see him at a convention.
03-09-2002, 09:37 PM
well with 42 days (as of march 9th) left to StarFest, Maybe we should lay some basic plans down to meet, i am going on Friday/Saturday. That Cafe' at the enterance seems like a good place to go, if there is room! If we want to meet there, we will have to come up with a name, so we can all be led to the same table. Something like, i duno.
03-11-2002, 01:38 PM
Sounds good mrhat. I also am going Friday/Saturday. We could have a Star Wars figure sitting on the table so we would know what to look for.
03-11-2002, 03:24 PM
As long as they dont get stolen...
03-11-2002, 03:55 PM
No, I mean the 1st one of us to get there, sit with a Star Wars figure on the table in plain site so that we know what to look for. The figure wouldn't get stolen.
03-11-2002, 06:16 PM
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay, i suppose if i am the first person i will use my interactive yoda that i got for 10 bucks, so what about the rest of you?
03-13-2002, 12:07 AM
Nichelle Nichols and Dee Wallace are going to STARCON!!! THis is great! I've always wanted to meet somebody from Star Trek the Original Series!
03-13-2002, 12:08 AM
Star Wars is my baby of course.
03-13-2002, 12:09 AM
Yeah it will be cool to meet these people, why is this one shaping up to be one of the best StarFests Ever
03-13-2002, 08:06 AM
I don't know. It seems that StarLand really tried this time. One thing is for sure though, I'm gonna drop a bunch a $$$ at this convention. This is too good to be true.
03-15-2002, 02:49 PM
TOBY MAGUIRE IS GOING!!! That is awesome! He's going to promote Spiderman! Too cool!!!!
He was great in Pleasantville and Cider House Rules.
03-15-2002, 04:25 PM
SWEET, too many good guests to see in two days, these lines are going to be HORRIBLE!
03-17-2002, 09:14 AM
Oh you know it mrhat! The whole place is gonna be packed!!!
03-17-2002, 01:46 PM
But as long as you get your ticket in advance, hey no problem, just get your bag o goodies, your ribbon, head STRAIGHT to the free stuff table, get the best stuff there is, have one of those things fill out prior to going there.
03-17-2002, 03:30 PM
Thats right mrhat! Filling out those cards is a pain in the butt when you're standing in line.
03-17-2002, 03:51 PM
Usually they give you those things in the bags right?
Friday isnt usually that bad, at least not recently!
03-17-2002, 05:47 PM
Yeah the free stuff cards are in the bags. I've always gotten my bag at the convention. I try to put it in my car as soon as I can though, because they get in the way. Especially in the Dealer's Room.
03-19-2002, 11:14 PM
William Windom from Star Trek the Original Series is going. Cool! "The Doomsday Machine" was a great episode!
03-19-2002, 11:18 PM
WOW, I am going out, NOW to get my tickets from the King Soopers, go EARLY on Friday, in order to get the shopping done before the rush.
03-19-2002, 11:25 PM
Thats right, King Soopers sells tickets don't they. I forgot about that. Yes I need to do that.
03-19-2002, 11:28 PM
yeah theres like a 2 dollar surcharge to get them there though, i havent gotten my order flyer for the tix, but no such thing had arrived.
03-21-2002, 11:01 AM
I got the postcard, but I'm still waiting for my flyer too.
03-30-2002, 10:37 PM
Okay you Coloradians, i am going to pick up my ticket to StarFest on Saturday, I hope they still have them, anyway, Maybe we should start conversing via e-mail instead of on the forums, so we can set up a place, time, and day. I can probobly get a reserved table from the resturaunt, or bar, or business area. So, Jay, R2, Ces, Vulcan, etc... Email Me (Dalla12@aol.com) so we can get this crazy weedend planned! :)
04-01-2002, 08:08 PM
Well save your money kids. Billy Dee Williams is signing Autographs, here is a direct quote from Starland:
Mr. Williams will be signing; however, he will be selling his autographs (for $20.00) from his own table.
It is unknown if Tobey Maguire or other major guests is signing, but many are part of the "experience" program, buy autographs online through Starland.com. for 15.00 an autograph, but you are guarenteed to get a signature. Billy had already decided to in a sense to run his own show, and run his own autographs. 20 dollars for Lando Yes! 20 Dollars for Motti, NO! 20 Dollars for tobey, probobly not.
04-02-2002, 11:29 AM
I'd pay $20 for Tobey. I figured Billy Dee would charge that much.
04-05-2002, 10:42 PM

04-16-2002, 11:11 AM

04-17-2002, 12:46 PM
