Similar to the music thread using one's ears, this'n would be dual action senses: ears AND eyes.

What's on my set now? The Dodgers/Phillies playoff baseball game (NLCS game 4), but they just showed some kids in the stands, and a girl picked her nose. Both nostrils. And they kept the camera on her?

Debate coverage, I had to be out when it was on originally.

Worst Enemy was a weird thing, I thought Christian Slater did really well, very compelling, some of the setup is very silly and makes no sense, Alfre Woodard feels out of place, and it turned out to be a show I found interesting but highly doubt I'd have on again.

I've self-exiled in the office.............:ninja:See? This is why the "improvement" in Feb. '09 to all digital programming is going to ruin life as we know it. Unless you put a converter on every set, those cheap B&W or small 13" screen boxes can't help on such a day. I have watched many a sporting event, game show, cartoon, newscast, etc. on those while "multitasking" (read: making it seem as if I'm doing two things at once) on Sat. afternoons and summer weekday mornings... ah nostalgia, why aren't you like the way I remember you? :pleased:

Bel-Cam Jos

And now today's George's b-day!

This week, the family that's twice won on Family Feud has some odd members: their head person is a brain-muddled teenager, the dad looks full-baked (especially after some of his answers), and others haven't been paying attention to the questions. Currently, they are leading 263-0, though.

Not counting most of the shows I watch that are either "no longer produced", "in syndicated rerun", or only on "a casual basis" (when nothing else is on), this is what I'm currently watching.

Sunday:

The Simpsons
The Cleveland Show
Family Guy
American Dad
Stargate Atlantis (syndicated reruns)

Monday:

House
Big Bang Theory
CSI: Miami

Tuesday:

LOST
V

Wednesday:

CSI: NY

Thursday:

Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains
Flash Forward
Fringe
Supernatural
CSI

Friday:
None

Saturday:

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Season 1) "Reversion"

Currently on Hiatus/Done for the Season:

Heroes

Stargate Atlantis is only on the list still as I need to re-watch the final two episodes. Sort of saw them when I borrowed the DVDs from the library, but my TV crapped out on me during those final two episodes. So the picture wasn't quite the best viewing. Power Rangers is technically also "reruns", but since they went through the effort to alter them to make them appear "new" (sort of like alterations done to the "remastered" editions of Star Trek: The Original Series) I'm watching out of curiosity to see the changes.

As far as casual "new" shows go, I do occasionally catch an episode here and there for Bones, The Middle, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Sons of Tucson and Two and a Half Men.

The last couple years, the PBS A Capitol Fourth show began at 8pm; this year? 7pm here, so I missed the first 20-some minutes. But they re-run it right after, so I DVR it. The NBC Macy's one starts at 9pm, so I can see some of that one, but it's the same time as CBS's Boston show. I prefer the PBS one to the other three; less currently big-name acts (this year: Kool & the Gang, Matthew Broderick & Kelli O'Hara, plus some other names I hadn't heard of from Glee and The Voice) than Katie Perry (okay, I watched that part of it  ) or Kenny Chesney.

Here's a scan of an ad in this week's newspaper, about the recent Dish dropping of channels AMC, IFC, and WE. If the picture doesn't load, if offers "some perfectly good shows you can watch now" that are comparable, in their views.

Instead of:

Rome Season II, this was my 3rd time watching the series and its sill great. Not as good as others ie. Deadwood but still solid, although they could've done a better job of showing that the timeline was advancing more then just the occasional comment made. ie. age the actors.

IAAF World Track and Field Championships from Moscow. Way to hand the 5,000 to Mo Farah team Kenya, did you not watch the 10,000 the other day? Perhaps a sit and kick isn't the way to beat him?

I recorded Bill Cosby's newest stand-up comedy special from Comedy Central, "Far From Finished." Very funny; he indirectly references the "Himself" routine (my absolute favorite stand-up from any comic of all time) multiple times throughout. Still got it, Cos!

Just got Time Warner Cable, so I'm going through OnDemand. There is so much to watch! I just saw Doc of the Dead, a documentary on the evolution of zombies in media. And on the SportSkool (as an English teacher, I'm offended by that spelling) channel, I viewed and participated in the ICE workout, 32 minutes of glorious pain. Did it three times in one week, so that makes me happy.

A replay of a tribute to Don Rickels; One Night Only on Spike TV. Not quite a roast, but not all lovey-dovey, considering his comedic style.

These Kings know how to keep us on the edge. Thankfully, they delivered a win yet again. Three more and it's parade time...

With as sluggish as they looked in this game, it'll be 6 more games before parade time. Still, any win in a storm...

PS - handle the puck better, jeez! Fundamentals!

I'm surprised they're even standing after how grueling of a playoffs they've had. The Rangers' speed in the first period overwhelmed them, but they fought back - yet again. It's really surprising.

It's really surprising.Looked in game 2 like the speed was less of a factor, the Rangers were a bit more sloppy in that area, but the Kings really looked tore up for a while, and then yet again in the 3rd period, they came alive. I still feel like their puck-handling is a disaster in the making, and counting on sudden-death OT wins isn't a workable strategy, but the Rangers seem like they're getting worn down.

Un. Believe. Able.

Nothing went in the goal all game as all eleven Iranians successfully played as defensemen. The entire Argentine team had 20 shots and nothing to show for it. And then Messi saves… An interesting sign I saw during the match had Maradona as God, the Pope as the Pope, and Messi as the Savior. Yes, hyperbole is an Argentinean national obsession, but this one had at least two things right...
