The translation of Baby Stir Fry's Chinese name in "proper" Chinese is limitless or vast potential. The more common slang term for it is foriegn import. Do you know the Mandarin and the proper pronuciation?

My brother has "confidence" tatooed on his arm in Japanese. When he told me what he'd gotten, over a bad cell phone connection, I thought he said "competence." I asked him if he was going to get "adequate" on the other arm.

You should put up a sign at the city limit and one at the county border that says "No Murdering Between Signs."

What is there to watch on an aircraft carrier out at sea? It's not like anyone is going to swim off with an F/A-18. I'd be looking for really lost Somali pirates and Tsunamis (and since he's near Japan, I'd keep an eye out for Godzilla too. Rodan wouldn't be a problem, the F/A-18's would swat him out of the sky like mothra.) Vampire mermaids might be a problem though. (Would they turn themselves into flying fish?) If I saw a vampire mermaid I'd run screaming back to my bunk. Makes me glad I'm safe back in Maryland. Thanks for taking one for the team Slicker!

I went to Wal-Mart the other day, and the greeter was this creepy-looking old goon. He sort of waddled toward me when I entered the door, and said, "Son, I'm gonna have to ask you to drop yer pants!" I was a little shocked and thought I must have misunderstood him, so I asked what he meant, and he said, "It's store policy that every young buck gots to make sweet, sweet love to me 'fore they get inside."

So I told him this had never been the policy in the past, and, if it was a new policy, I wanted to see it in writing. He said he'd show it to me at the customer service desk, but I'd have to let him grab me by the crotch and lead me there. I said this was unacceptable; I'd be happy to accompany him to the service desk, but there would be no crotch-grabbing. He relunctantly agreed, and we went to the customer service desk, where we proceeded to wait in line while the woman in front of us returned a cartfull of plus-size lingerie and argued that they were unused despite the chocolate stains.

We finally got to the desk, and the greeter told the manager about my "misconduct," and requested that we see the new store policy. The manager gave him a dirty look, and said, "Mr. Biden, I thought we told you never to come back to this store!"
