Thanks to Sirsteve's collection of photos from Toyfair 09, we're getting a good close look at what's coming up in this new line of figures.

The first few entites left me cold...Maul had that permanent grin, Hoth Han looked way too skinny...and the sculpts on everything looked a little "off".

But a few of these actually look pretty good, specifically the Episode III versions of Anakin and Obi-Wan. Both feature pretty decent head sculpts, well done Jedi outfits and gear and look pretty cool. I'm especially impressed with the Anakin outfit and the Kenobi head sculpt.

I'm liking the ANH Kenobi and the Mace a lot too...might have to check these out "in person" and see how they stack up...judging from these photos, they might be giving Sideshow a little healthy competition here...

Check out Sirsteve's gallery and say what you think...

I've checked these out as well. I think they're neat. Because I have a majority of the Sideshow 12" figures -I wont pick up any characters made by them already.

The upcoming Emperor looks very cool. So does the red Senate Palpatine.

I'm not 100% sold on this line. I did p/u Maul at TRU & got it under $40 since I had a gift card. The sound chip is the best thing about it, the costume pretty well done. This is my 1st 1/4 scale...could't afford Sideshow's since I already buy their 12" line. I'm considering Anakin & Obi(ROTS), maybe ROTJ Palpy.

The facial likeness on Mace seems pretty good, but the shape of the head is all wrong.

The likenesses on Ep 3 Obi-Wan and Anakin seem a little toyetic to me, almost cartoonish, yet they work. The Anakin works better than any mass-produced figure I've seen, in fact.

I wish the buck bodies weren't so blah, and the saber blades weren't so toy-like, and the prices weren't so high. :p

A few of them really look great, but I don't think I'll be getting any figures from the line as I simply don't have the space for'em. But, for those interested, Michael Crawford reviewed Hoth Han and Maul, and thinkgeek has Maul for near-dirt cheap as far as 1:4 scale goes.

Geez, Han reeks of a "good" Hasbro $20 figure, but for 4 times the cost.
