My 2010 Predictions

Hasbro's given us only a few hints as to what we'll be seeing in 2010, but I'm going to take a stab at what we might see next year based on their previous track records and what was revealed or hinted in the Q&A's.

Hasbro said we'll see about 45 "new" figures in the Legacy/movie line next year including the already revealed EU wave. So besides those 6 we have 39 figure slots to work with. Assuming every movie gets a wave (this fact in itself hasn't been confirmed) here is how I predict they will show up...

TPM:

1. Jar Jar Binks
2. Mawhonic
3. Naboo Pilot w/ trenchcoat
4. Captain Panaka or possibly Naboo Royal Guard
5. Depa Billaba or another Jedi Council member upgrade
6. Tey How

ROTS:

1. IG Magnaguard
2. Merumeru or another Kashyyyk wookiee
3. Cin Drallig
4. Yoda
5. Darth Sidious (senate)
6. Mon Calamari Dancer

ESB:

1. Captain Piett
2. Princess Leia (Hoth)
3. Luke Skywalker (Hoth)
4. Dengar
5. Wedge Antilles (Snowspeeder)
6. 2-1B
7. Rebel Deck Officer or Toryn Farr
8. Hoth Rebel Soldier (clean variant, doesn't count as "new" figure)

AOTC:

1. Queen Jamillia
2. Zam Wesell
3. Ko Sai
4. Padme (senator)
5. Anakin Skywalker (peasant)
6. FA-4 Pilot Droid

ANH:

So that 45 "new" figures including the EU wave, plus the Hoth rebel repack. This leaves no room for a repaint wave, but I don't believe Hasbro would count them as really new.

I ordered the waves based on what would make sense coming off of this years wave ordering, coupled with the anniv of ESB (i put that one smack in the middle much like this years TPM was sorta supposed to be.) I put ANH and ROTJ at the end to really end the year with a "bang" being full of highly requested figures. Again much like this year will be.

So what do you think?

I like your OT choices. They should probably rerelease Bossk and IG-88, and Bespin Luke, in the Legends line to go along with ESB's 30th anniversary.

I also believe that at this point Hasbro has shown that they can give us great figures with Super Articulation for the same price as before so for Hasbro to not give us SA figures is a step back for them.
