It must be released in the 1990s and you have to do it from memory, no using outside lists!
Multiple entries from the same year are fine and you don't have to list the exact year if you don't know it.

Here are mine off the top of my head:

1990 - Opportunity Knocks
1992 - Wayne's World
1993 - Wayne's World 2
1993 - Coneheads
1993 - CB4
1994 - Dumb & Dumber
1994 - Tommy Boy
1994 - Airheads
1994 - Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
1995 - Billy Madison
1995 - Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
1995 - Black Sheep
1996 - The Cable Guy
1996 - Happy Gilmore
1997 - Liar Liar
1998 - The Wedding Singer
1998 - There's Something About Mary
1998 - A Night at the Roxbury
1999 - Big Daddy, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo

I can't think of anything good from 1991.

Off the top of my head I would add American Pie from 1999.

Boomerang (1992) - You got to reverse it!

RB - Agreed on American Pie, I should have had that on my list.
SK - I thought about adding TPM due to the comedy elements but I didn't want to incite a riot.

Last night I realized that I forgot to include Airheads from 1994, a film I still enjoy very much !!!

Considering the date shouldn't this be a thread about favorite comedies from the 200's? ;)

Nope JimJam, I snuck in it before we were 2 decades removed. :D

I also forgot to include Kingpin from 1996...another comedy classic in my eyes.

And I didn't list The Big Lebowski (1998) which I probably should have...it's pretty much my all time favorite standalone movie but I wasn't thinking of it as a straight comedy. Although it is incredibly funny. :)

I think it's from '96, but Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinkin' Your Juice In The Hood.

What type category do you put it in then? Besides "bowling" of course.

SK, good call on Career Opportunites...although I don't think it holds up as well today. At age 13 when that movie came out though, I was in love with Jennifer Connelly's chest. I remember seeing that in the theater.

And shame on me for forgetting all of Kevin Smith's movies. (well, I wouldn't rate Clerks 1 as something I still watch today, nor do I care much for Dogma, but Mall and Amy are fantastic).

Though I know RB would disagree, Mystery Men absolutely belongs on that list.

Maybe a noir mystery? Or what have you? lol

Obviously since it wasn't funny.

HEY!

I said "favorite" comedies, not "funniest" comedies ;) ... some of those on my personal list are bad overall but still have pockets of a few good moments.

And if Beavis and Butthead are on the list, then Mystery Men is welcome, too. :D
