"Have you ever encountered a Jedi Knight before, sir? We will not survive this."

Luke Skywalker got his first look at a lightsaber in the quiet solitude of Obi-Wan Kenobi's hut, where the old Jedi Knight recounted the glory days of the Republic, before the dark times, before the Empire. Ever since then, Star Wars fans have wondered what it was like, when the Jedi were plentiful, and they defended peace and justice like no other force in the galaxy.

It's an image fans have been waiting decades for: a harsh battlefield on a distant world abuzz with the glow and sound of hundreds of lightsabers. Episode II will finally make this vision a reality. To deliver this on screen, Stunt Coordinator Nick Gillard worked with Jedi actors Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and dozens of extras to create a diversity of fighting styles fit for the Jedi order.

Man, there is some really cool stuff in here, go to STARWARS.COM and check it out...

I am really looking forward to this scene in the film. It's a little odd considering our initial impression of the JEDI were that they were "great warriors", something that was quickly dispelled by Yoda in ESB "Wars not make one great". In TPM we were introduced to the JEDI as peacekeepers and not these soldiers. Now we get to see them "in battle mode". Even though it is EU, I had a great time envisioning the battle scenes in "Cloak". Nicely written scenes, I thought!

I agree, JediPartnr.
I am eagerly anticipating the battle arena scene as we will get to finally see the Jedi order in combat.
Also, just think of EPIII when we get to see the force that brings the Jedi down.
The darker, the better; I cant wait to see Anakin become Palpy's own personal Jedi weedwacker.

I mean think about it. Samuel L Jackson as a Jedi Master.
How cool is that. Kudos to GL.

BOOHOO, my ISP won't allow me time to download, I keep getting a time out after 15 minutes. Curse this 56k modem!!!!

Saw the screencaps at TFN and the new Jedi look nice. Like the Nikto jedi :) Adi gallia looked like a nice quiet girl in TPM and yet there she is kicking Geonosian tush, shocking isn't it? I'm curious though about the editing of the scenes. I was reading a report at god knows which site that said George was trying to please too much as a nod to fanboys and the negative reaction he got with TPM. Something about cramming too much into such a small space of time. Hope it isn't all messy and choppy. Who's actually the editor on AOTC? I know George does some of it but there's a real editor isn't there? Is it whatshisface Burrt again?

Rodians with braids in their head finials on Coruscant? What is that all about...!!! There's some very strange costumes in this movie that's for sure. Am i the only one who isn't wetting themselves with excitement? I'm sort of cool about this movie coming out. I'll go see and then either get excited or sulk. I've got a fairly open mind to it all right now. I think I've just become overloaded with spoiler stuff and a bit blasť. Oh well we'll know whether it's good or bad come may 16th won't we.

That's a cool picture of the Jedi with two lightsabers, though I think he's just playing around as everyone else is pretty calm. :D But what's cool about the picture is we get to see what appears to be Eeth Koth and Saesae.

I believe that's might Anakin's stunt double without the leather vest piece of his robes. Since it looks like the same outfit, and it doesn't match Count Dooku's outfit either, and both of them fight with two sabers, so that's my guess. :)

It looks nothing like Anakin and he wears a pony tail, quite a thick one at that. I believe there will be more than one Jedi weilding two sabers. I read a spy report at one or the other site from someone who had been an extra and they were saying how there were several double saber weilding jedi in the scenes. This guy is far too thin looking to be a stuntle for Hayden. Looks prety mean though. Is it me or does Eeth Koth look like a different guy therein the background? he looks a bit fake, like his make up isn't applied right. The guy that played him in TPM was from the indian subcontinent or genetically descended from that region. This guy looks white but made up to look Eeth Koth - ish. Bultar Swan is a minute lady aint she? Chunky too.... :D

This is the third time I've posted this because of that damnable server problem...

I liked Ahmed Best gettin' all peeved because the Jedi interrupted his mack on the purple twilek girl. Hello??! Boss' daughter!

The double fisted Jedi swordsman is coolio as is the Nikto Jedi. How come the Nikto don't get a name? All the other Jedi get saddled with Shaak-ti and Kit Fisto, but he's just "Nikto Jedi"... What up with that?

Let's name this poor bast...uh...guy.

He probably will end up with a name, since there is a figure of him coming. I kinda doubt he'll be marketed as Nikto Jedi, but you never know. But since they named all the Cantina aliens that got figures, as well as there is a new CCG coming out. I hope they won't be lazy, and will give him an actual name.

As far as fighting goes, Nikto looks to be the badest thus far (keep in mind that Mace's footage hasn't been released yet), his style showed alot of power with a flash of speed. I'm looking forward to seeing Mace and Anakin in action now really bad...

That bit on AH last night gave a 2 quick looks at mace in action- I'm not too good at recognizing fighting styles, but from what was shown, it looks like he tried pretty hard to look like he actually trained for his bits- one bit of him deflecting a blast or something, whilst pivoting on on foot and raising the other- I guess I'm trying to say that it looks like real fighting, not shakespeare. I'm so excited now......Woooooooo!!!

Good one LT! Why not "GORT"? He took every other name in the film already, it's not like a stripminer like georgie to leave nuggets like THAT just lying there.
oooh I just noticed that "ROTJ" is kinda an anagram of "gort"..... WEIRD!!!!

They are similar, but shouldn't that be the alien race from Enemy Mine looks like the Nikto race? Since Enemy Mine was made in 1985. :D Love that movie, I still need to pick up the DVD sometime. But back to the discussion, it's possible that they wanted to make a lizard like alien, and they came up with a similar design. Or, they just ripped off the alien design from Lucasfilm, not like that would be much of a suprise in Hollywood. :)

Speaking of lizards and sci-fi, remember V? I loved that bit in either the pilot show or the first season where the kid has a visitor shuttle craft toy and action figures. Oh how the producers must have wanted a toy companty to take the bait........ maybe they did. Were there ever V toys? Did they make a visitor shuttle craft toy? I know it made me want one when I saw it. The power of not very good subliminal advertising eh? Be funny idf Boba Fett has action figures in AOTC :D little Kaminoans and and clones as toys. And a mini Slave-1. That'd be really sick. :D

lizards - nikto Jedi - yeah back to the point... I hate the way they made the Nikto and Klaatu the same race. I liked it when they were different races. Have you seen the pic of the new Sullustan mask? Awful looking!!!!! UGH! looks nothing like Nien Nunb at all. I hope we don't get a whole scene with a sullustan in it cuz the new mask is scary. No, I don't like it. But i love what they did to the Aqualish masks with extra eyes and mandibles. Shame it means that Ponda Baba now looks really crap and will probably be tinkered with at some point to replace hs fliper hands and his head. Too much messing around. Even if some of it does look better slightly. But perhaps it's gilding the lily? I can see why they redid the hammerhead mask because the original wasn't meant to be noticed the way it was and was just badly made. The new hammerhead doesn't look right to me though. Something a bit too bulky about it. Oh well, straying from the point again......

Those figures and the shuttle craft toy was cool, I wanted them also back then EJ. All they ever made was that one doll of the visitor. :( But back to Star Wars. Well, Boba does have and plays with a Mandalorian Warrior (Jango Fett) figure as well as Battle Droid figures in the new Jango Fett Graphic Novel. :crazed: Here is a link to the comic, as well as I attached one of the pages where he is playing with them. http://www.darkhorse.com/news/previews/pg_prview/sku_11337/p_0/index.html .
