I just started a Yahoo pick em league for any SSGer that wants to join. I changed the scoring a bit where upsets are multiplied. For example in round 1 if you pick an upset its a X3 multiplier, in round 2 its X 4, round 3 its X4, round 4 X 5, round 5 its X5 and round 6 its X 6.

If people don't like that/want that changed I can do that until the games begin.

I joined.

I'm dedicating my title run this year to Corey Haim.

Pick 'em for what sport?
March Madness tournament.

I always do relatively well because I have no f'n clue of what's going on.

I have zero interest, but I have also an obsessive compulsion to fill at least one bracket out each year.

I've always been tempted to make my picks based on the following criteria:

When comparing where the school are located which place I'd rather live.
Where have I been vs. not been.
Mascot battle, who'd win.

While I won't limit it to the only factors to making my picks that is the sort of factors to be considered.

It's telling me the password is incorrect.

I went to the site and sent you an email invite so hopefully that will work.

My wife wants to join up. She likes beating all us Americans. Can I just send her the ID and password? (now that I've broken my Lenten sacrifice of no Star Wars message boards *sighs*)

It's telling me the password is incorrect.

I tried it with CAPS first and that didn't work, then tried just lowercase and it was fine.

Just a reminder of the different scoring this league will have. If you are unsure of what that is go and check out the first post in this thread.

Here are the results from NCAA pick 'em league. The first set of numbers for example 37 of 63 is the number of correct picks made (by Cappy). The third number is the points from said picks, the next number is bonus points for correct picks X's the multiplier and the final number is the total number of points scored.

1 Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. Adam 37 of 63 80 17 97
2 JimJam's Jim Jam * Mike 36 of 63 58 21 79
3 sonofsokol Bob 35 of 63 59 16 75
4 ??? caesarandsinder 36 of 63 63 11 74

I would like to be proud of the fact that I won but I cannot because:

a) I know jack s**t about college basketball

and

b) There were so many upsets this year that the best laid plans by those with extensive knowledge of college basketball were quickly laid to waste.

I by no means earned it, but the trophy will look nice on my profile. :D
