Saw this on Rebelscum. Gotta wonder how much the card is going for on ebay.

Says the set is coming out in May. Really?

Ouch, well I'll just get a base set on the aftermarket I guess.
I'm setting aside 8 pages of the Widevision Ultrapro pages for this. ;)

Rebelscum's posted some cool sketch cards for this set. The release date is slated for sometime this month.

didn't Topps already do a 3-D set of cards years ago. I seem to recall collecting the Widevision cards and they had a 3-D set as well.

Yes, back in late 90s or early '00s. An ANH and TPM sets were released, as well as promo cards for ESB and ROTJ (which were never produced). I'm thinking technology and printing capability has improved since then, and the new ESB cards should be very nice.

NSU had a write-up on the new set, sounds like it should look REALLY nice in 3D.

spotted these the other day in Target and passed on them...only 3 cards per pack and at $3.99 not worth it to me. oh well...maybe I'll wait and see if I can get a complete set from a local store or something.... or maybe buy a sealed box of the cards and try for a set.. not interested in spending $4 a pack to get multiples of cards.....

Star Wars galaxy series 5 took alot of my pocket cash and I still don't have a complete set yet. I almost have 2 complete sets though

I looked earlier this week at Target and found nada; might need to try again. I'll probably do what I've been doing lately: buy a couple packs, then get the complete set online.

One of the card dealers I've bought from is offering the base set and the promo card for $25. I placed an order for one. With shipping, it's $35.

He's got a deal for $35, you can get a sketch card (his choice).

I haven't seen the cards out yet. I asked at the comic shop the other day, and the help didn't know when they were getting them.

I bought three packs, and apparently my luck of getting chase cards in packs is lacking; just got base cards. But apparently my luck as finding the checklist card was somewhat intact, as I got card #48 of the 48-card set (it was Luke, Leia, and the droids on the medical frigate). They look cool. I saw several sets (but with nothing extra, save empty wrappers) for around $10 online.

I picked up a few packs the other day (http://www.plasticfetish.net/2010/06/empire-strikes-back-now-with-third-more.html" target="_blank). They're expensive... but fun. I'm not sure that I'll push for an entire set, but it's possible.

I need 9, 11, 20, 34, 39 & 46 to complete my set(doing it the hard way at Target. I have these extras for trade: 2, 4, 8, 14, 15, 16, 19, 23, 26, 29, 31, 33, 35, 36, 38, 42, 43 & 44.

I picked up a few Hobby packs. Cool cards but I'm in it for the autograph cards. And as it turns out, the odds of actually getting one are harder than ever! I miss the 1 per box days.

So as it turns out, I'm burned out on this series already.

My set arrived yesterday. Amazing. A huge improvement over the 3D cards from 10 years ago. Some of the images don't pop as much as others but still very impressive.

I, too, received my set the other day. I like the choices of lesser-seen screen shots for cards, even if they're not all that "3-D" in nature. Still wihs their was a better card #1 and a checklist last card; oh well.

Odd detail: on the "Movie Fact" part of card #14, if says:

Early bounty hunters possibly on Han's trail included: Remotes, Gank killers, even Bell Cambos.Bell Cambos? Bel-Cam Jos? Was I not as creative as I once thought. :(

I can use #9, Bel...any of the ones I listed as extras you want an extra of?

I've enjoyed reading the movie facts and the trivia. Some of it isn't new but the fact about the bounty hunters was, and that was cool.

This is the first set of trading cards in a very long time where I haven't broke down and bought individual packs at the store.

I had some Christmas money to spend online, so I found two really nice sets, the ANH and TPM 3-Di ones. Not too pricey (considering the sets aren't too big [63 and 46 cards, respectively]) but the look of them is great. Too bad this year is the 3-D Episode I in theaters, but maybe towards the end of 2012 they will release a 3-Di of AOTC.
