With all the attention to detail that goes into creating each figure, why are all Darth Vader sabers made red in color when it clearly looks bright orange in the films?

He is a sith, His crystals were givin to him by Darth Sidious. They were red. Every thing you will ever read about his blade says crimson red.

It was originally intended to be orange, but Lucas made a dubious decision to change it to red at the last second, and this change wasn't communicated to everyone in time.

Don't lie to people until they know you're goofing on them. :p
In the first movie, A New Hope, the saber is rotoscoped white with a red halo, and it's rotoscoped (hand-drawn over the frame, like cell animation) on top of a spinning dowel with reflective tape. Some shots in ANH weren't rotoscoped, the lights put out a warm tone which give it a warm bright white color on film.
But at no point was it ever intended to be orange or yellow or anything else.

Your bad EL. I tried looking that up cause I never heard about that. It's like the water in the Bacta tank water was gonna be blue (it was dyed blue) but all the lights made it clear. I thought it was something like that.
