The Lost 12......

Now, we all know that 40 action figures have been confirmed and seen, and the date of their release has been given.

In March, we will see 4 preview figures to introduce the AOTC toy line and get up ready for April. In April, we will see the first wave of action figures, the basics, nothing really spoilerish about them. But, around May 16, the second wave of action figures will be release. These ones will probably be most succussful around colletor's and be the really awesome one of the waves.

But, the third and last wave of figures, with we all know will be 12, since we've seen 40 and they will be 52 action figures release this year, the lost 12 as I call them, will probably be released in June or July of 2002, making the last of the AOTC toy line. But, what will those lost 12 be.....

Some say they will be Bail Oragana, Dexter Jettser, and ect., the ones that we really like. I thing the lost 12 (or the last 12) will have a favored figure among them or two.

Since we have two anakins, one crapy Outland one and one really cool Hanger Duel one, there mite be a third one. Since we hade a cloaked Obi-Wan, with straight legs and a soft robe, we might see a cloaked Anakin too. He will probably be just like the Obi-Wan one, with straight legs and a cloak (although I don't know if soft, but it might be) and "His" lighrsaber, since the first ani fig hade one in his hand, and the second one had two lightsabers from the duel where he picks them up, so this one has to be where he was his own lightsaber. That would be a cool figure.

The next would be a pilot Padme, with her robes two, and the next could be other awesome collecter figures we really we love.

But, of course, they will have to be spoilerish to be "un-announced" be Hasbro.


And P.S., do thing it would be an interseting idea to release some wave 2 figures in the theaters when we see Episode II in May. I think it would be a cool idea.

I should re-phrase that. I haven't seen a Hanger Duel Anakin, but I heard from someone on this board that he could have two lighrsabers since in the actual duel he does have two lightsabers.

But, remember, since this is the Hanger Duel with Dooku, Ob-Wan, and Anakin, and in the movie he doesn't have his lightsaber but one of one fallen Jedi, and then the one of Obi-Wan's when he get's injured, he then fights with two when Dooku fights with two.

Not really, Hasbro never announces it's late 3rd and 4th quarter figures this early. So it doesn't mean they are spoilerish, just that Hasbro hasn't finalized what will be released yet. Check out the 52 figures coming this year thread, it talks about some of the rumored 12. :)

There's obviously some plot point attached to the old R5 droid in this movie or else we'd have seen piccies of him by now. That's the only reason we haven't seen piccies of Dexter jettster and the Kaminoans officially. So isn't it fair to assume that R5 is a bit of a spoiler issue for LFL and Hasbro and that at some point late this year or next year in the spring we'll finally get this baby?

hasbro usually show off the fall figures at some summer convention or other like Shreveport last year. This is where we could see the shuttle if it ever shows up. And there are various rumblings about a fall release....... rumour still but nice rumblings though. :)

Or they just felt like not making a new R5 head and giving us R4-M9 so they could reuse that mouse droid. :D

However it would be interesting if R5 played a key role for E2...

I doubt they made the R4 droid, so they could re-make the mouse droid, it's just somthing extra since he would have been the only figure of the 3 with no accessories. Oh, didn't you know LTBasker, R5-D4 is in reality "Skippy the Jedi Droid." ;) Maybe he turns out to be in reality, R2-D2's father. :D

That's ridiculous man, let's be realistic here... R2 builds him and R2 cloned parts from his main body and tried to clone his head but it didn't turn out right so he painted him red and sold him to Jawas, that's how R2 was able to make R5 blwo his motivator! :eek: ;)

I'm sure that there will be a mix of characters old and new in the final wave for this year. I have a feeling that the initial rush of AOTC fever would have subsided by then, in spite of the fact that the DVD is rumoured to be released in the fourth quarter. I think that they will start to fully integrate the different movies into this line by that point.

I agree, I think the final couple waves of the year will see a few more OT figures, or atleast those rumored E1 figures that we've been hearing. God, I hope that rumor of the Orange Handmaiden is true. I so need a few of those to go with my Amidala: Decoy figure. :D

I doubt they would do that JEDIpartnr, not all of the new line stuff is in action poses, after all. Only the figures that require them due to what scene in the movie they are based on. We have alot of normal static poses: Count Dooku, Chancellor Palpatine, Orn Fre Taa, Chancellor's Guards, Chewbacca: Bespin Escape, Djas Puhr, Mace Windu, Zam Wesell, etc.. The only real action posed charecters are the jedi's, which is pretty much necissary when you want swirling cloaks and dresses like in the movie. :D

That's the primary reason. We should hopefully be getting figures of Lami Su, Taun We, and Dexter Jettster. And since Lucasfilm has kept the apperances of those charecter's pretty much under wraps, they didn't show the figures yet either. Same reason that we haven't seen pictures of Anakin Skywalker: Hanger Duel yet. They did appear on figure lists that showed up on the net a few months ago. And "Skippy the Jedi Droid" should be included before the end of the year also. :D

I'm about to make myself really unpopular here, but in addition to R5D4, I'd love a resculpt of Hammerhead (He's just a little too buff) and Walrus Man (with removable arm of course.) These are probably the only POTF2 figures I'd like to see redone.

You know? Like jedi dengar, chewbacca(gungan disguise), lando as the borg, even anakin(TPM) with midiclorients action- stuff that'll be a HUGE surprise when it comes out.

The Hammerhead and Ponda Baba I think should definitely be done again, the POTF2 versions are just not enough justice for'em. Along with Dr. Evazan. :)

Yeah, don't worry about being made unpopular. You have some supporters. Me and LTBasker here already took the brunt of most of that, when we suggested they re-do Momaw Nadon and Ponda Baba in the rumored Cantina 2-packs a while ago. :D Great minds think alike. And no quoting the Genie from Aladdin and saying that "Great Minds Think For Themselves." :p

An Ithorian (hammerhead) senator would be most welcome in my house should Hasbro make one. The POTF Momaw Nadon is the wrong colour for a start. It's only the lighting in that scene that makes him look brown. They're actually more browny greeny grey.

POTF Momaw Nadon wasn't exactly buff, just a bit bulky with that huge molded lump of fabric folds on his back and then that thick rubber top over him. it made him look lke he would topple backwards if it wasn't for his massive feet. Which I love BTW. But i can se how he could be resculpted to be more movie accurate. I'm placing bets that Lucas replaces all the cantina creatures with CGI versions for the OT super special editions. none of the masks like Ponda baba and Momaw match the TPM or AOTC versions so he'll make the poorest quality ones match the new ones. In which case a new figure would be expected like we got ketwol.
I love the new Aqualish masks with four eyes and sharp mandibles. Well wicked!

That's just my prophesy BTW don't quote me for pity's sake. :crazed:
