I have it from a reliable source that here are the 2011 waves (to start the year with):

These are in the current database for Vintage after the recent Jedi wave:

Vintage 2010: Kit Fisto
Vintage 2010: Zam Wessel
Vintage 2010: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Vintage 2010: Peasant Anakin
Vintage 2010: Peasant Padme
Vintage 2010: Jango Fett
Vintage 2010: Senate Security Guard
Vintage 2010: Mace Windu
Vintage 2010: Super Battle Droid

Vintage 2011: R5-D4
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker with Grappling Hook
Vintage 2011: Han Solo with Medal
Vintage 2011: Stormtrooper
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker
Vintage 2011: Bom Vimdin
Vintage 2011: Ponda Baba
Vintage 2011: Dr. Cornelius Evezan
Vintage 2011: Rebel Blockade Trooper

Vintage 2011: Vintage AT-RT Driver
Vintage 2011: Utapau Clone Trooper
Vintage 2011: Bariss Offee
Vintage 2011: Commander Gree
Vintage 2011: Aayla Sacura
Vintage 2011: 501st Clone Trooper
Vintage 2011: Fi-Ek Sirch (Nikto JedI)
Vintage 2011: Captain Fordo
Vintage 2011: Nom Anor

Vintage 2011: Barada “Kithaba”
Vintage 2011: Weequay Skiff Master
Vintage 2011: Princess Leia “Tatooine Sandstorm”
Vintage 2011: Lando Calrissian General
Vintage 2011: Logray*
Vintage 2011: Bespin Han Solo

I bolded the figures that I'm excited about.

I don't "collect them" like some of you guys do, but figures like Nom Anor I'll surely buy multiples of to represent the character in several different dioramas (vs Mara Jade, vs Jaina Solo, vs Kir Kanos, etc)

*Logray is not on my want list. However, if I can use him (or my older Logray figure in "disguise" ) to broaden my number of Ewoks in my Endor diorama, than I'm all for getting 2-3 of him. The Jabba Guards are Army Builders as well.

The Leia Sandstorm is a Slave Leia wrapped in a cloak or blanket for protection from the sandstorm that hits the Tatooine Skiff as the Rebels leave the scene of Jabba the Hutt's distruction at the Sarlaac Pit. She'll be "vintage carded." So some of you might get a big thrill out of collecting that one.

Figures like Aayla, Zam, Mace, Lando General, etc. I just don't need. I already have some version of them. But the new vintage style cards will be interesting to look at when I pass them by in the store.

That's not bad, only 12 figures out of four waves to worry about. 2-3 of those are only maybes, even. Although, I'm really curious as to how they're going to handle General Lando since he was released on a POTF card. I recall Hasbro saying a long while ago in a Q&A that they wouldn't replicate the POTF coins, so... do you think they'll put him on a ROTJ backing?

Hey, you should copy-paste the list above and highlight what figures YOU are personally interested in.

We'll get an idea about the taste of other collectors here that way.

I think Lando General was (rarely) released on a ROTJ card before the coin series was issued. But I don't remember. I was a kid and opened my figures up right away back then. The General Lando was my favorite version of his character back in the day. Actually, this outfit still probably is, though disguise figures are a lot of fun.

Smuggler Lando (Han's clothes) was awesome, as it was the final movie version that needed to be done. However, several Expanded Universe Landos could top my favorite Lando figure list (Imperial Troop Disguise, or Nkllon Mining Baron (Zahn's HTTE).

Here are the definite pick ups

Zam Wessel
Peasant Anakin
Peasant Padme
Bom Vimdin
Weequay Skiff Master
Princess Leia “Tatooine Sandstorm”

And the maybes

Luke Skywalker with Grappling Hook - it will really depend on my mood on whether the belt is enough for me
Luke Skywalker - not sure what Luke this is
Ponda Baba - I'm hoping to be blown away and then this will be a buy
Dr. Cornelius Evezan - same as Ponda
Rebel Blockade Trooper - a new head sculpt for the ranks
Nom Anor - i've never read the books although I'm listening to audio books now and if I get to it I may change my mind
Barada “Kithaba” - the sculpt almost has to be better
Lando Calrissian General - I can easily see this being a major improvement
Logray - I will have to see. I liked that wicket came with the Ewoks hood so if thier is some added value for Logray as well I would buy it.
Bespin Han Solo - if the sculpt is there I will upgrade

The rest are passes. However I must say I thought I would pass on several of the Vintage figures so far that I did not.

Its about time they made Bom Vimdin.

This list pretty closely matches one that appeared on RS the other day. Some of the figures like the Utapau Clone and Commander Gree are coming earlier than they are listed, so I assume it's not completely in order.

Still, it looks like a great selection. Most of them have been confirmed through the Q&As or hinted at some other way.

Pretty sure they said they'd do that.

2010???????? For realsz? When?????
In the mad dash up to Christmas, sometimes the later waves come out before the earlier ones sell through since the warehouses are quick to release what they get as soon as they get it. Hasbro said this could happen here.

Its about time they made Bom Vimdin.
Derryl DePriest said in an interview that they sometimes have to cut characters from the lineups at the last minute, and this happened to Bom several times, so they kind of thought they had already done him. Oops.

No many for me:

Bom Vimdin
Ponda Baba
Dr. Cornelius Evezan
Rebel Blockade Trooper
Barada “Kithaba”
Weequay Skiff Master
Logray

I might get Bespin Han Solo, but I want to see pictures first. I skipped the Torture rack Han. If I'm going to buy another Lando, it will be a new ESB Cloud City version. I don't feel a need for a new Lando General.

What's that 2nd Luke Skywalker supposed to be?

Hey, you should copy-paste the list above and highlight what figures YOU are personally interested in.

Bah, nobody would really care, would they?

So here's the list.

Vintage 2011: R5-D4*
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker with Grappling Hook**
Vintage 2011: Han Solo with Medal
Vintage 2011: Stormtrooper
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker**
Vintage 2011: Bom Vimdin**
Vintage 2011: Ponda Baba
Vintage 2011: Dr. Cornelius Evezan
Vintage 2011: Rebel Blockade Trooper

Vintage 2011: Barada “Kithaba”
Vintage 2011: Weequay Skiff Master
Vintage 2011: Princess Leia “Tatooine Sandstorm”
Vintage 2011: Lando Calrissian General*
Vintage 2011: Logray
Vintage 2011: Bespin Han Solo

* - Only getting a single one to keep carded unless it's drastically different from past releases.
** - Undecided

The General Lando was my favorite version of his character back in the day. Actually, this outfit still probably is, though disguise figures are a lot of fun.

Yeah, same here. Granted, "back in they day" only stretches to POTF2, but it was the one I played with the most over the Cloud City and Skiff Guard versions.

Wookieepedia calls it an alias now. I guess it was only used in the radio drama or something.

Probably sometime around March-April 2011.

For real, Hasbro has done this before, end of year listed figures usually do not turn up until sometime after the big resets.

Of all the figures on the list these are the ones I'm interested in.

Vintage 2011: R5-D4
I know it's a build a droid re-hash . . . but I'll probably be stupid and buy two one to keep packaged and one to display.

Vintage 2011: Han Solo with Medal
Depends on what he looks like. I want a han solo for my A new hope figures and so far have not bought one as I'v never been happy with them. IF I get this one I'd only get one.

Vintage 2011: Stormtrooper
Maybe one to keep in package only.

Vintage 2011: Vintage AT-RT Driver
I'll buy this one but only if it's an update.

Vintage 2011: 501st Clone Trooper
For the package if it looks good. Most likely won't get a second unless it's a new sculpt.

Vintage 2011: Lando Calrissian General
Depends on what he looks like

So R5-D4 is a go as soon as I find him, and the rest are really debatable and status may go from maybe to nope if i'm short on money, or am not happy with the end product.

Probably sometime around March-April 2011.

For real, Hasbro has done this before, end of year listed figures usually do not turn up until sometime after the big resets.

Some of the AOTC wave (Peasant Padme / Anakin, etc.) will leak out in shipments for very late December because they were ordered for early January.

So some people will get them.

Then the stores will stop stocking, run their clearance sales, and not restock until March anyway - just like how TAC was supposed to start in January, but very few had all the ROTS Wave 1 until nearly May.

The most persistent hunters will get Peasant Anakin / Peasant Padme in December. The rest of the people will complain or get impatient and turn to e-tailers or eBay if they don't find them until March (in stores).

I'm not sure what Clone Wars will be doing in the meantime, but I'll hopefully have news to post on that, too.

Vintage 2011: Bespin Han Solo

Not a lot on the list that I have to have. Of course, after I see them on the shelf I usually change my mind. I was gung-ho about the new Commander Cody until I saw him and realized the changes weren't significant enough for me to buy a third version of him. There's also been several that I was going to pass on until seeing them in person. I've got a feeling most of the above fall into the second catagory.

Glad to see them finally making the Weequay Skiff Master. I've wanted a figure of him since I was a kid. Wish they had a couple more Jabba goons but I guess there getting to the bottom of the list of unmade characters, at least alien characters. There are plenty of background human characters but I doubt any of them will be made. Still holding out for Cane Adiss and Loje Nella someday!

So wierd! I actually came to the site this morning thinking "I wonder if I could create a thread and see if I missed info about the waves after ANH" lo and behold, Tycho just did that! Thanks!

Vintage 2010: Super Battle Droid
Vintage 2011: Rebel Blockade Trooper
Vintage 2011: Nom Anor
Vintage 2011: Barada “Kithaba”
Vintage 2011: Weequay Skiff Master

Not too excited for 2011, but as time goes on, one is bound to be less impressed with new figures, right? When I heard about Super Battle Droid, I was originally very excited. I really want a new mold with shiney paint that looks more like the droids in the Geonosian arena. Alas, this looks like a repack, best I can tell. Looking forward to Nom Anor, I bet he will be impossible to find in stores. Always good to see more of Jabba's goons.

Hasbro looks like they are really intent on sticking to tested sellers: Jedi, Clones and Aliens. Although, I am worried we are going to see a big bottle up of Peasant Anakin and Padme. If these hit pegs in the dreary, post-Christmas months it will take FOREVER to get rid of them.

Snowtrooper

Here's my list of ones I'm excited about:

Dr. Evazan -Its been at the top of my "wanted" list for some time. Hopefully it delivers.
Bespin Han -Probably second on my wanted list.
Peasant Padme
Ponda Baba
Bom Vimdin
Rebel Blockade Trooper
Barada
Weequay Skiff Master

It looks like it'll be only an OK year. I don't think I'll buy a whole lot of openers, and theres not much for army building either.

Vintage 2010: Kit Fisto (if he’s as good as the recent ones we’ve seen I may pick him up)
Vintage 2010: Zam Wessel
Vintage 2010: Peasant Anakin
Vintage 2010: Peasant Padme
Vintage 2010: Jango Fett (still undecided, he’s got that crazy purplish scheme, though it seems toned down, and the blades making him appropriate for all of 3 seconds of the movie)
Vintage 2010: Senate Security Guard
Vintage 2010: Mace Windu (same with Kit, if he’s just a Geo set repack then I pass)

Vintage 2011: R5-D4 (tempting, if they finally got the paint right I think I’ll bite)
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker with Grappling Hook
Vintage 2011: Han Solo with Medal (this figure is inaccurate so I think I pass)
Vintage 2011: Luke Skywalker (different than above?)
Vintage 2011: Bom Vimdin
Vintage 2011: Ponda Baba
Vintage 2011: Dr. Cornelius Evezan
Vintage 2011: Rebel Blockade Trooper

Vintage 2011: Vintage AT-RT Driver (he’s gotta be better than the one I already have)
Vintage 2011: Bariss Offee
Vintage 2011: Aayla Sacura
Vintage 2011: 501st Clone Trooper (doubtful)
Vintage 2011: Fi-Ek Sirch (Nikto JedI)

Vintage 2011: Nom Anor

Vintage 2011: Barada “Kithaba”

Neither Mace nor Kit are repacks. They might use some of the same body elements, but I'm not sure. I know for a fact that they both have new headsculpts; Mace's looked perfect at CV so hopefully the final result will deliver. But he has soft goods lower robes so thankfully he'll be able to move more than the 2007/Geonosis version.

The AOTC wave (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/index.php?categoryid=3&p17_sectionid=442) debuted at CV over three months ago. Carded pics were released several weeks back, and Hasbro sent them out officially yesterday (see the link). Kit Fisto is not smiling; he's a ROTS version bumped from that wave and put on an AOTC card; the smiling image they had was too blurry to be used.

Which should be sometime in late 2011, then. :D

I'll likely pass. I loved the AOTC design for Kit (and not just for the grin), but think the ROTS redesign was a major change for the worse. He looks like a different character of the same species, one who's dying of some sort of skin disease. I still haven't figured out the strange obsession they had with redesigning things in the prequels that didn't need to be. (TPM Yoda being a major example--if someone's 900 years old, a couple of decades isn't going to be a major change in his appearance.)

Good call. I forgot about him.

I might add R5-D4 to my list even though I don't need him. He was one of the figures I had back in the old days, so the vintage style card will probably sucker me in.

As per the last Q&A round:

YodasNews.com: Are you planning a new Luke in Jedi Outfit (Return of the Jedi) on Vintage Card?
Hasbro: Yes, we are. We are doing two things here: The current Luke figure on the EpVI card will actually get a running change to the card, where we will change the card art and the name to be "Luke Skywalker: Endor Capture." We will also look to introduce down the road another EpVI version, but details on that won't be available until next Spring.

Though the fact that he's listed so early in the list makes me wonder if it's a different version entirely.

You might be thinking of the Tri-Logo ROTJ cards, but General Lando premiered on the POTF cards. He was never a part of the ROTJ line. However, Hasbro will just release him on an ROTJ card for the vintage line. They said as much back in at the beginning of the year during a Q&A submitted by this very sight (I think the actual answer was posted on CollectionStation).

Can R5-D4 be oversized and split in half with a gigantic missle launcher? Cause that would be awesome!

Oh, oh, oh! And give him blasters that attach to his legs also. That would be even cooler!

Today's Q&A confirmed quite a few figures from this list - Logray, Fordo, Fi-ek Sirch, Barriss Offee, and some others who were already mentioned. So it seems this list is legitimate.

They also mentioned another Dagobah Luke, but likely not the training gear one. So that's probably the Luke on the list - maybe it's a gloveless X-wing pilot, or one with the open jacket? I'm not sure.

I want that Luke so badly! It would be so cool.

Like the Echo Base Han Solo - (open jacket) - this is Luke right before Yoda raises his X-wing out of the swamp.

His Bespin jacket is open and his green work-out shirt is exposed beneath.

I think he should come with a removeable weapons belt with a unlit lightsaber hilt, and a lit one.

"Your weapons. You will not need them."

"Master. I don't believe it."

"That is why you fail!"

"Your weapons. You will not need them."

"Master. I don't believe it."

"That is why you fail!"

Actually I think it went more like:

Yoda: "Your weapons... you will not need them."

Luke: "But master, how are my action figures supposed to sell if they don't have any accessories?"

Yoda: "THAT is why you fail!"

Luke hesitates, but then remembers that Yoda lives in a swamp and has been wearing the same clothes for the last 20 years, he then rolls his eyes and walks off counting his money.

Actually, no, Yoda has not.

According to Hasbro, different factories in China have been subcontracted to update Yoda's clothing every other month, so we must continue to help him recover the costs of the variants ;)

I always thought the China System would have been cool and sounds Star Warsish. At least then the racial stereotypes and affected character speak would have been accounted for ala TPM Neimoidians.

The new issue of Toyfare magazine has pictures of some of the figures on this list (though I think they'd been confirmed elsewhere already, in some cases). The four finished figures are Bariss Offee, Bom Vimdin, Rebel Fleet Trooper, and Weequay Skiff Master. The issue also has photos of the Evazan prototype as well as Bastilla Shan.

I don't think these are surprises but it does lend credibility to Tycho's list.

I'd love to see those pics. I'm going to try a Google search:

They're on Rebelscum's forums. Here you go! (http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=4384514&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=93&fpart=8&vc=1)

Bariss and the Weequay Skiff Master look the most impressive!

Actually, that Weequay rocks!

I am merely whelmed by Barriss. I'll withhold judgment until I see her, as I've been waiting for eight frickin' years for that little hot tamale; even a merely decent figure is better than the "opera diva" statue we have.

The others look quite nice. Evazan looks like he'll be worth the immense wait.

That Weequay's shoulders are effin' huge. Presumably the final figure will be better proportioned, but still. The Rebel Fleet Trooper looks like he has weird cut-joint elbow articulation, like the knee articulation on the 2001 version, but I doubt that's the case. He looks pretty spiffy otherwise. Barriss's hood has scale issues as well that will hopefully be better on the figure. Bom Vimdin and Dr. Evazan look to be pretty damn cool, at least.

Yes, this figure is definitely based on AOTC. Look at her long cloak compared to the short Clone Wars version.

Bom Vimdin has been my most wanted figure for years, and he looks pretty much perfect.:love::love:

I was hoping the RFT would be the old guy from the start of ANH (Pello Scrambos, or something like that - I can't be bothered to look it up), but this doesn't look like it will be him.

I wonder what BigB will say about the Skiff Master... He's not a perfect figure but I don't think they could have done much else about the jacket and how poofy it's supposed to be. I also noticed that the elbows on the RFT looked like the swivel cut atrocities that the last one used but I assume it's just a bad photo because there's no way they would give Bom Vimdin ball jointed elbows and not an army builder. I agree with JJL that the Bariss is from AOTC, I'm not sure why they used a CW picture of her but the CW line doesn't do much in the way of soft goods from what I've noticed and the shape of the hood as well as the cloak (as JJL said) indicate it's meant to be a realistic figure.

I'm curious to see a more finished Bastilla, the prototype looks a bit chunky around the shoulders and it's hard to tell what's going on with her head.

Interesting you say that... somewhere I read someone saying that they're sure it is supposed to be Pello because he could see white eyebrows. Though, I also seem to remember he had a unique rank insignia on his vest which would make him a poor place to start for an army builder like this.

It looks like what they perceive to be white eyebrows is actually the part of the skin between the eye and eyebrow, given the way the figure's face is lit.

I continue to impressed with the sculpt and paint quality of the latest Vintage figures. However, I am and will always be opposed to the ridiculous cloth capes and whatnot.

I am REALLY hoping the new Weequay face mold will open the door to the rest of Jabba's Weequay henchmen. Really hoping Queequeg will be around the corner!

Well, I got off of work at 7 this morning and I immediately jumped onto RS to see if the Toyfare photos had been posted. At first glance the Skiffmaster's shoulders seem a little jarring; but after about 6 hours of sleep, I looked at it again and it doesn't look that bad. Of course some concessions have to be made to the sculpt for articulation's sake and one of the main selling points for these Skiff Guards is that they are action-oriented characters who all do battle with the main heroes in ROTJ; so I'm not going to hold that against them. I'm just glad they didn't attempt to use soft-goods on his shirt. Everything should fit a little more tightly in the final version.

My only complaint right now is that the head looks a little too small. However, I'm willing to bet that the photo was taken from a low angle in order to make the figure appear 'larger than life.' So there might be some lens distortion involved. Besides, it's a photograph of a photograph and you can see that the magazine isn't entirely flush with the camera, which creates another level of distortion. I'd have to see some actual scans (no stores in my area carry Toyfare anymore) in order to judge the photo more objectively.

Of course, now that this issue of Toyfare has made it out, I'm sure that Hasbro will be releasing some more photos soon.

Anyways, I can't wait for this guy. A 27-year wait will finally be over soon!

Oh yeah, Bom Vimdim, the RFT and Dr. Evazan all look cool too. Don't care about those two girl figures.

I think the fact that the page is rolling towards the spine of the magazine is what accounts for the Rebel Fleet Trooper's elbow articulation looking so funky.

He's either a bounty hunter, an undercover Rebel smuggling Death Star Plans, or a secret Jedi. Those seem to be pretty much the only three options when it comes to EU backstories.

Shockingly enough, he's simply a smuggler...

Bom Vimdin was a Advozse smuggler and mercenary during the Galactic Civil War. A pessimistic, reclusive being, he had no loyalties to anyone other than himself, and cared only for his credit balance. Around 0 BBY, he was a regular at Chalmun's Cantina in Mos Eisley, though he was widely disliked. Vimdin worked for a wide array of corrupt and dishonorable officials in his life, though his operations thrived during the time of the New Republic.

The Advozse made great profits transporting fugitive Imperials from New Republic territory to those controlled by the Empire, and although he was caught and apprehended many times, his loyal network of spies were able to free him. Eventually, his activities were deemed a threat to the New Republic and Security Chief Airen Cracken added him to his most wanted list. Thought to be one of the best at his profession, Vimdin was a wealthy being for most of his life, though he completely shunned the company of others.

I don't want any of the 2010 figures. If we got Kit Fisto in molded robes, I'd be all over it, but every Jedi anymore either gets released with no robes or soft goods. Mace Windu hasn't had a figure that I've liked in more than ten years.

I'll grab Vimdin, Baba, and Evezan from the second wave. The R5-D4 . . . even if it wasn't the inferior BAD--which I'm perfectly happy with in parts as a bonus--I don't see why we particularly need a new R5-D4.

From the third wave, I'll get Bariss. Yes, she has soft goods, and yes I deplore them, but I may see if the older figure's cloak isn't too billowy to look okay on the new figure. I'll probably get Fi-Ek Sirch, but I'm sure he'll be sporting soft goods. It's possible I'll stick with the statue that has a molded robe. Captain Fordo is the first figure I'm excited about. I'm really looking forward to adding a distinctive clone. Nom Anor could be cool. I imagine soft goods will make or break this one for me.

For the fourth wave, I'll get Logray. I've been light on Ewoks, and my friends and I have decided we could embrace the absurdity of a small army of Ewoks. Bespin Han could be a must buy for me. I've always liked his Bespin look more than the vest look, and I tend to display a Bespin Han with my Falcon. Now that I've found the two missing parts of my BMF, I'm itching to do something with it. I've gotten all of the Tatooine Sandstorm figures thus far, but if this is just Slave Leia wrapped in a (soft goods I'm sure) robe . . . well, I might get it. I doubt it. I've never replaced my nineties Slave Leia, but I don't display Slave Leia, because my Jabba's palace is usually displayed at the point Leia--in disguise--brings Chewie to Jabba. And if I did display Slave Leia, I'd prefer her reclining, so I'd try to get the recent figure that has the alternate lower half to reproduce that scene.

Of all the figures offerd, I am only really excited for Kithaba, Skiff Master and Nom Anor. 2011 is looking to be one of the most dissapointing years for me, alas. I too plan to use the pending 2011 releases as an opportunity to focus my $$ on display and collection preservation. I'm certain subsequent releases, however, will be worth my $$$. Although I'm a bit dissapointed in the early 2011 releases, I've no doubt I'll be collecting again soon. I'm crossing my fingers that such figures as Logray, Bespin Solo, and others will be as excellent as the ESB and ROTJ figures were.
