It's a little early but since I had the extra time, I figured I would go ahead and roll out the new design that is inspired from the 2013 Star Wars brand look. What do you think?

It's a cool contrast between the black star field, but it isn't too easy to read, especially the white font in the green bars (would black be possible?).

I wanted to give it a few days before commenting, but I still agree with BCJ. I'm not sure black lettering would be any easier on the eyes though. What about a darker shade of green?

It's YODARIFFIC!!!!!

Not a fan of Yoda screaming and holding a lightsaber, but that was all Uncle George and totally out of your control. :D

This is the Yoda design from the Unleashed figure, not the (more subdued, closed-mouth) 2013 look. I agree that the green is a little bright, but I like the starfield.

Good point. I knew it was familiar, but couldn't place it. I can forgive the design, given the philosophy behind the Unleashed figures.

I liked this Yoda better than the "official" Yoda on the 2013 package. :)

As for the white on green... any other comments as it the white "pops" for me. Look at the black arrow on the "Quick Reply" and you can see what black on green looks like.

The green is a bit odd merely because of the design nature of that color, but I can live with it for now.

I cannot however get into the stark black with star background cutting right off from the 1000-wide main column, it makes the page claustrophobic on my display (1680 wide) and would suggest a white gradient fade-out on either side instead if you can't have all-white whitespace.

Also, I would remind that Hasbro made a big deal out of the new Yoda packaging being a very short-term look, I think they said only through the first half of 2013, so we'll have to change again soon. ;) You know what might be fun? Since the forums can be set up to allow users to choose their own themes, perhaps designing a theme around every major Hasbro SW cardback, as well as the classic black & purple SSG look. :D

I'm liking the orange much more than I liked the green.

Please!
Bring back the cool, refreshing green type!
The gold looks too much like the surrounding dry hills here in SoCal! With a temp of 106F (so far) today color selection on the site just adds to the misery! The green looks so much more inviting!

Yeah, the green was a little much on white, the orange with black is meant to emulate the new card art design, The Black Series, hence the new logo Steve whipped up (do a hard-reload, shift+ctrl+r to see it if it's still the Yoda green one).

I see what TeeEye means about the green being a cooler feel to the page, but I never cared for the green on white m'self.

Ooh, I like the new logo. The gray feels a little plain, but then again so does The Black Series, so I guess it's fine. :p

The overall color scheme is really getting me into the Halloween spirit. :D

That's because LA has much more green than my area of Central/SoCal. You are lucky, sir! (Sometimes I miss Glendale/La Crescenta..._

Glendale has changed since they built a second giant mall right next to the first giant mall, there's a lot of construction and money downtown, they even landsnatched a piece of La Crescenta/La Canada-Flintridge at the end of the 2 fwy - it's annexed so they can claim the hospital there is Glendale.
