Yes! Thankyou so much, I've been looking for this for ages, Thanks!

Without seeing a larger image I can say...

It resembles the poster for TPM with the lense flares and the black border...

I like it... design wise the characters flow well.

Jango Fett seems pretty prominent in the front.
I can't really tell what characters are to his right.

yep... I like it.

Thanks for the post Rollo

I don't know how much longer that link will be up, so somebody might want to make a jpg of it, maybe blow it up a little for everybody. I would but I'm a doofus with that kind of stuff. Thanks.

Here it is a little blown up... I couldn't get it any larger without it looking like crap...

oh well - have a look.

They confirmed that is the legit poster, and I think I like it!

The "sultry" looking Padme is cool :)

There's no hint of the Sith . . .

Does anyone know when this poster will be available to order from the Fan Club? I'd like to know since I missed my chance for the 25th Anniversary Vader.

The only thing that I don't like about the poster is that Count Dooku isn't in it but Jango being front and center is really cool...

I read today that Drew Struzan originally designed the poster with Dooku, but George Lucas vetoed that inclusion.

Oh well, I'm sure he will be shown on the Episode III poster.

Rollo, did your theater get the new poster yet?

TFN reports that many places will be displaying it starting with today's release of Ice Age.

We got four copies. I begged my manager (I'm not above groveling) for one of them and he said "We'll see." I may just buy one from the offical site just to be sure I've got one. I thought someone would get me the teaser poster for christmas (because I only asked for two things and that was one of them) but nobody did, so I missed out on that one and I dont want to miss out on this one, too.

By the way, did anybody buy a teaser poster from SamGoody/Suncoast/MediaPlay ect? I was going to get one and I wanted to know if they are the double sided official theatre posters or just one sided reprints.

03-15-2002, 10:08 AM
From what I understood from someone who purchased one... it was a single-sided reproduction.

Oh sure. As soon as I post my gripe, they start selling it. but now the sites so flooded, my darn order won't process. GRRRR.

03-18-2002, 05:55 PM
I hear you Rollo. I can't even get through and I tried calling and they aren't taking phone orders for it until later in the week. Also the message said that the 25th Anniversary Vader figure is shipping later this week and IF there are extras they will be made available to members at a later date. So now they don't even know if there will extras. Great. It looks like I might not get a 25th Anniversary Vader. I certainly won't pay what they are going for on ebay.

$6.99 in shipping?!?! God in heaven!!! How much does a POSTER weigh?!? It better come with it's own professional light box for that much....

Did I mention WOTC blows...

03-19-2002, 03:45 PM
I finally got through yesterday and got my poster. Yes Rollo, the shipping amount is outrageous. Hello WOTC, it's freakin' paper. How much can it possibly weigh?

03-20-2002, 01:37 AM
Are those posters rolled? I hope so, if they're squeezing you for shipping. :(

I tell ya. I ship posters out to CA to a friend of mine and two poster tubes taped together stuffed with about 15-20 posters cost less to ship than this one poster. Somethings up at WOTC.

WE'RE ON TO YOU WOTC!

PS Magic: the gathering sucks...

03-20-2002, 10:00 AM
I ordered mine on-line on Monday morning. I wasn't even going to try to phone them! I got a confirmation back saying that the order would be processed in about 3 days. Yeah... those of us who ship professionally KNOW where we can get the customer. Oh, well... we must pay the price for getting something "early".

WOTC=Pro Scaplers

The poster looks good, like a ANH poster I saw once.I'm kinda
sad there is no Sith on the front..at least a little picture.Oh well.

I got the TPM poster at WM for 3.99 last year.Think they will
do the same thing for AOTC?Its just a piece of paper after all:rolleyes:

03-20-2002, 10:41 AM
You shouldnt have a problem finding the posters anywhere.
Wal Mart usually has them, yes, but I have also found them at Spencers.

03-20-2002, 11:41 AM
Thanks JF96.

I'll have to keep an eye out at my local Spencers, they would
get one before WM.:D :D

03-20-2002, 12:04 PM
I was able to score the teaser for EP1 there for like $4.99 when they first came out.
Hopefully we will start seeing EP2 posters there again soon.

I never saw the 27x40 posters anywhere except Suncoast/Sam Goody and online. You couldn't throw a rock without hitting the 24x36 ones, but the actual movie poster sized ones were hard to find.

Whoo hoo! FedEx brought Daddy a present in the mail today. Daddy like!:D Seriously, The Episode I and II posters hanging right next to each other on my wall, looks great!

03-25-2002, 06:11 PM
Got mine today as well. Looks great.

03-27-2002, 11:16 AM
You know... we shouldn't complain so much about the price. I just saw the same poster on two different poster sites selling for $34.95 USD and $49.99 USD. Now THAT is :Pirate: :greedy:!!!
