Looks like we need a new Forums Sub-Section. Here's the news about the Upcoming "Rebels" line. :)

I have to say I really like the packaging design this time around. It's refreshing after so much black.

And it's cool to see a Stormtrooper featured on the packaging finally. Very cool!

Star Wars Rebels Action Figure Packaging Revealed

In anticipation of Lucasfilm's Star Wars Rebels panel at New York Comic Con (Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. in room 1E of the Javits Convention Center) Hasbro is officially unveiling the packaging treatment for its Star Wars Rebels 3.75-inch action figure line supporting the upcoming animated series.

Star Wars Rebels continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes.

Hasbro's Star Wars Rebels line, featuring highly detailed 3.75-inch action figures with multiple points of articulation, will hit store shelves in 2014.

I just saw this and posted it, thanks JJB.

The use of color is good, the helmet is a repeat of the Clone Wars and TLC lines which is not good, those lines are still rotting in a few stores.

I think this looks like an animated line based on the packaging. I don't think this will be a subforum of TBS, I think we'll just make it its own forum and consolidate some of the older lines into "retired".

Still stuck on the old name, eh? Hehe. No worries.

Yeah. I meant a new forum section under the Toys/Collectibles section. The forum calls each one a sub-forum.

I didn't actually mean a sub-forum of The Black Series. Sorry for the confusion on that one.

I hereby move that it be a subforum of The Black Series. Just because that means the floor is open for debate. lol

Ah, I forgot that the system has its own terminology, you are right.

This could be my chance to get an animated Bail Organa figure.

Everybody wants one of those, right? (I do!)

Maybe they'll make other animated Senator figures too so I can make dioramas of the animated political scenes.

Um. I'm very serious.

I forgot if they made an animated Tarkin. If they did, I've got him in storage.

We might get an animated Fett figure (in armor).

Bossk might see single-card release.

They could make animated Nightsisters, zombie Nightsisters, a carded Mother Towsan, maybe Ventress in Night Warrior gear (or whatever it's called - from her post-Sith 'apprentice' days).

StarWars.com just revealed the Inquisitor figure! (http://starwars.com/news/star-wars-rebels-inquisitor-action-figure-reveal.html) As Hasbro mentioned previously, the figures will have just five points of articulation - the article mentions that it's part of the Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line, and will be animated style. So since it specifically calls out Saga Legends, I wonder if there will be realistic and/or super-articulated figures somewhere else, like in The Black Series. I actually like the limited-articulation figures so it won't be too bad getting these, but still.

Nice. I like the look of the figure. And I also don't mind the 5 POA for stylized toon figures like these.

And now here's the Chopper figure! (http://starwars.com/img/news/choppertoy.jpg) As with the rest of Saga Legends, he's a little lacking in painted details. The sculpt itself looks quite good, though I wonder if his head-arms will be included or not.

Is he supposed to be proportioned like that? He looks a little... chunky. Almost like a Galactic Heroes figure.

Yup. He's short and squat (http://starwars.com/news/star-wars-rebels-meet-chopper-grumpy-astromech-droid.html), like the early McQuarrie R2-D2 designs. The in-universe explanation is that he's made up of different old droid parts.
