Nice figures, especially the Clone! It does look however that Anakin does have some lame saber slashing gimmick. I mean why would they put extra articulation on his arms which would make way him cooler of a figure if they didn't want to peeve us off? :p

The Clonetrooper even comes with the "rock" though it's brown, which is good unlike the black one at toyfair.

I thought they used Real Scan? His uglyness must have broken the scanner.

Im guessing right now that hes gonna have some sort of "twist his waist left and right to activate dual lightsaber action" feature. I just hope that doesnt affect his poseability cause I sure hate those damn clicking and crackling noises those kind of figures make everytime you try to move a joint eg. Wolverine from the X-Men movie toys.

DeadEye

You probably have to squeeze his legs and his arms twist...his left arm definitely does some kind of spin, I can tell by the pose.

My question now is, since we have already seen this and the other 3 figures(Zam Yoda etc.) carded, does that mean that they will be available on the 23rd? If not then how soon could we expect them to be in stores? I hope pretty soon cause after seeing them Im no longer intrested in the Sneak Preview Zam and Trooper and the terrible Outland Peasant Anakin.

I don't know how many of the newer carded will be available on April 23. Jar Jar has a pretty big spoiler in his bio, and I don't know if Hasbro would put two basic versions of the same character out at once. But I'm not concerned, we'll have fabulous versions of the core characters by 2003. After a year, they should stop with the action features, they're short-term gimicks in my book.

And the HH is Happy Hunting. :) Or, in these time, Hapless Hunting. :(

If he hasn't told you already the HH stands for Happy Hunting. I saw it posted in another thread.

Well, chop chop action or not, I'll like this figure better than the Outland Disguise one. Hasbro messed up big time attaching the lightsaber to his hand so the blade looks like it ignites. When you try to fight with him he assumes the " old man with a cane" fighting stance.

I always thought that, too, derek. Until I found it meant Happy Hunting.

I am SO glad to see that we have a decent looking Anakin figure from this line. I'll even let them ahve the leg pose... as it's not too stupid looking. I still don't like the Yoda. I think it's pretty vile and I will pass on this one. Poor guy... it just keeps getting worse and worse for him!

Yeah, does it not look like Yoda has gotten some kinda lazy eye thing going on. "When nine hundred years you reach, see as straight you will not!" Also, I was reading on Jedinet.com that Hanger Duel, Clone Trooper, Yoda, Zam Wessel, and Saesee Tiin will be out on the 23rd. How realistic do you think this info is?

CrossWizard

Who knows, maybe its true, cause if they released Collection 1 Wave 1, and Collection 2 Wave 1 & 2, perhaps this will be Collection 1 Wave 2 and could be shipped in the next few weeks.

http://www.tradefederation.net/ go here for a complete listing of what's available on the 23rd straight from hasbro's own databank apparently.

And even though I hate the chopping action I will give the Anakin a 5 out of ten rating. Much better as far as action figures go. Yoda doesn't look anything like Yoda though. Anybody got any clue about the base thingy he packs with? Is that some sort of catapulting feature or is he just supposed to hover there like a fountain shot up his jacksy?

Anyone got a larger pic of Yoda in the package? What about the backs of Anakin and Yoda packaged?

Also, if you look on Yoda's pic on the package, he is showing holding a lightsaber. Where is this in the packaging?

Maybe the lightsaber extends out of Yoda's arm like the first Anakin's does.
Hopefully not though.
I think that whole feature should stay in the past with only the vintage line.
Good looking figures!! Cant wait to get these.

You can clearly see the green lightsaber blade right on top of Yoda(over his head).

Well... Anakin's Anakin, so it's boring already. :p Chopping action or something would be very bad, hope the person who took that picture was just showing off the articulation. As usual, the lightsabers suck with those energy blasts. :D Vast improvement over the swash-buckling Anakin sure, but still nothing to really write Tatooine about.

The Clone Captain looks ok, one interesting thing though is that you can see the rock/dirt thing in the picture that he had under his foot at Toy Fair, it's not attached to his foot since it is located in it's own tray in the bubble but one kinda cool thing is that inside the "foot print" on it is a peg for the figure, I guess to put him in a "running pose."

That's the first hing that caught my eye too LTBasker. It wasn't painted at ToyFair so I wasn't sure if it was an accessory or not.

It makes me nervous because

a) He looked stupid posed on it at Toyfair
b) It makes me think that maybe it is supposed to help him stand because the weight of the huge blaster rifle tips him over.

I'd be really upset if that was true, because its almost as bad as having an army of squatting troopers like the Preview.

PS. Looks like Yodas lightsaber will not be removable from the handle. Thank god, I was afrais I was going to have to keep track of a lightsaber handls that was about as wide as a DNA strand...:D

I'm glad that the lightsaber thing has been confirmed. I still don't like the clonetroopers. Can't stand 'em in ranks or really build a good looking army out of them in that pose!!!

Jargo

I hope we get a properly proportioned clonetrooper and not all of them are based on the maquette. the clonetroopers in the movie are actually quite squat and what i thoght was a crap helmet actually turns out to be quite funky because it's fatter and shorter than that on the figures it should be a much lower figure. The figures out now look like scrawny cats with the lurgy the way they seem to be posed in agony. A good fighting clonetrooper who has articulation that allows him to stand at attention and also move into battle is required. And without that shiny look. the clonetroopers are sort of satin sheen not gloss like the stormtroopers. And how do the clonetroopers compare height wise to the commtech stormtrooper?
