Sorry to interrupt the fantastic picture posting but thought I would throw this in in case anyone doesnt know....

On the back of the Luminara figure where they mention Ansion, I am currently reading a book that deals with this matter

Star Wars: The Approaching Storm by Alan Dean Foster.

I wont ruin the book if you havnt read it (plus I am only on chapter 7) but it is supposed to shed a lot of light on what takes place in the upcoming feature film...

And a bonus picture, if you were wondering just what is under the new Royal Guard's cloak. Man, he sure is a cool figure. :D

No carded Qui-Gon pictures yet. I have no clue why they put him on the back of the card. Seems like a silly choice. Oh well.

And yeah, he definatly is way better then the previous guard. He's actually got legs! Definatly gotta pick up a few of these. :D

I see they decided to advance the salt n pepper shaker Royal Guards, I still would like to see cloth on this figure.

Oh, the horror of that Luminara figure ! She's a character I would really like an action figure of. I'll wait for a resculpt. ;)

You don't like the Luminara figure!! I think she actually is a pretty darn cool figure myself. The action pose is pretty nice, in my honest opinion. Love the swirling well detailed clothlike patterned dress.

I know alot of you would prefer a static pose, but with a dress/gown it would be difficult to style it so that it would be good for action and static poses. Not to mention all the joints they would have to use, weakening her legs. What about her don't you like Caesar, help me to understand. :D

I like her. The flowing gown is what does it for me. I love that action pose figure. Definatley one of the ones I'm looking forward to the most. I'd prefer the jedi in a sweet action pose like Luminara's fig, compared to a static pose like some of the E1 Jedis.

Why is there no clone in the clone chamber? What's the point in giving us an empty clone chamber?

Well, I assume the apperance of the clones in the chambers in E2 will be digital. And maybe Lucas hadn't decided at the time, exactly what they were gonna look like. Would you have prefered that it contained a clone fetus? I see that going over really well with parents. :D

2 things :)

1) The robes. Way overdone, the left side (of the pic) comes up to her chin level. How can I pose her looking forward without doing a Marilyn spoof? :D I don't think I could pose her any way other than looking to her left.

2) Her legs. It reminds of the Preview Jango stance, I don't think I can take that again. Same as above, those legs won't let me pose the fig any way other than to the left without doing some bad squatting pose.

Lumanwhatever should look ok when posed next to Shaak Ti... I can't see alot playability in the figure though, it's a nice figure, but... just a display fig. Although 2 interesting things, her left hand fingers are sorta "come on, try me" and her hilt seems to be a little bent... not as severely as Dooky's but it could possibly just be the bending in the bubble, would be cool though.

The Guard I'm definitely gonna have to get more of, gonna stop getting those paper weight Guards and just possibly use them for a Throne Room diorama since that's all they did but if we ever get a shuttle 6 (I think he was escorted by 6 or 8 Guards) guards would look great cause it would give more of a feel to it like they were walking.

Luminara looks pretty cool IMO I'm definetly gonna buy here (and most of the other jedi's from E-II)

Thanks for the pics. They all look preety cool to me. I don't like some of the one pose wonder figures, but Luminara looks really good that way. I can't wait to get these.

The Luminara figure is redundant because she doesn't wear her robes in the arena. She sheds all but her headdress and fights in a tight body suit that's a sort of greeny grey browny beige colour. So they should have done Luminara standing still in this particular number. And then done a fighting stance in the robeless outfit. I love the detail in this figure as it stands but it isn't an action figure in the true sense of the term. It's an action display figure which is better suited to porcelain figurine collections IMO.

Taun We is a cool figure, she doesn't do much in the movie so there's no need to give her tons of articulation. The clone chamber is only there for the sake of packing in an accessory. She doesn't really use the clone facilities because that's down to Ko Sai the cloning supervisor apparently. But Lama Su would have been a better choice to start off the Kaminoans with. His outfit is much cooler than Taun We's, sort of a bit like a space suit really. Taun We just looks like a cross between a medieval damsel in distress a hippy and a Close Encounters of the third kind reject.

Royal guard. Okay-ish. the cloak is very disappointing. he should only have one arm exposed as the cloak is vented that way in the movie - one arm concealed. The helmet looks okay, the body underneath is much better than the vintage version but over all this is a nice figure with an action feature in the force pike. They actually do use these things so the blue electro stuff is nicely added. I notice that the figure has elbow articulation which is nice.
I'm hoping to get six for my Emperors arrival diorama and hope to god that the shuttle gets released to go with them. :)

Jargo had some good points, but I think Luminara does start out fighting in the dress/gown/cloak and then removes it for more freedom in the tight quarters. Either way, I would like them to do a static posed version of her in this outfit. Maybe next year along with her Padawan, Bariss Ofee. She does look like a very cool figure though, and will look great with the other jedi's.

I don't see a problem with including the clone chamber with Taun We, since she is head of the cloning scientists. Atleast the accessory fits with the figure, and isn't somthing random just to pack out the figure. I agree though, Lama Su would have been a much better choice to produce first. Hopefully when they get around to Lama Su they can pack in the chair he/she sits in.

The Royal Guard is sweet, though Hasbro should have named him Corsurant Guard, since they arn't Royal Guards until their apperance in ROTJ. His cloak should have covered one arm like Jargo said, but I guess it's not that big of a deal. Pretty funny that they marked him "Attack of the Clones" on the front of his card. But his name and the back of the card talks about them from Return of the Jedi.

I was one of the principle pundits when the EP2 figure pics started surfacing. However, now that I have seen Luminara and Shaak Ti, I must say that they are really nice. Especially considering how quickly I got bored with the EP1 standing Jedi (Mace, Ki-Adi, Plo Koon and Saesee). Excellent work on the sculpting; but as Jargo said they are not really action figures in the truest sense of the word. I'll still buy them though.

"Principle pundits?" I like that, kinda catchy.....

Ahem....anyhoo, the Royal Guard is still not what I would have wished; but I guess it is necessary to make them like that since Hasbro seems to have totally abandoned cloth accessories.

Yeah, it's to bad. This is one of the figures that cloth would have helped alot on. Or then could have made a seperate cloak peice that could attach to cover that arm. I may try making a replacement cloak out of a lightweight felt or silk. But regardless, it is still a really nice figure, in my honest opinion. :D
