View Full Version : Bye for now........

Fulit

It looks like I will be absent from the forums for a little while. It sucks that I have to vacate during what will surely be an exciting time for Star Wars fans and SSG members, what w/ all the new toys and new movie coming out. But theres a good reason.
Long story short, yesterday, my son and I were riding down the street in our neighborhood when someone smashed the window of the car we were riding in with a rock. The rear passenger window. The one his car seat is 6 inches from. Window shattered, my son is lucky not to be dead, much less not have a scratch on him. The thing is, this probably wasn't an accident, we have had problems w/ neighbors around here from the get go, and I won't get into it, but it was probably intentional.
So we are in the process now of hurriedly moving, because, as the investigating officer put it, next time it could be a bullet.
Don't know when I'll be back, but I'm going to miss this place, but not near as much as I'll miss having a normal friggin' life. Anyway, bye for now everyone, I'll see you later. Thanks for listening.:Pirate:

Yeah... no kidding!!! Stay well brother and best of luck to you all... we'll see you when you get back.

What is WITH people these days? Some neighbour kids just started harassing me this past week as well. First it was little pieces of gravel thrown at the house and Saturday it was a full can of soda whipped at my storm door.

People are so foolish and they never see that what the do to others could happen to them just as easily. Idiots!!!!

Wow, that's nuts! What is up with your neighbors? I get some preteen punks that come by my house now and again and kick in the pickets on my fence, but that's nothing compared to your problem.

I wish you the best. Take care of your family and don't let those neighbor jerks get the best of you.

Erk, I'm sorry to hear about that Fulit. I have had my share of idiot neighbors, so I know how you feel right now. I hope your moving someplace that will be alot safer for you and your kid. And don't worry, you won't miss anything while your gone. We usually end up talking about the same thing every few weeks/months anyway. It will be like you never left. :D

Just remember, thugs that try to do that kind of stuff to children are nothing but oxygen thieves--hostile individuals who make no contribution to society other than making us feel unsafe...and they also help to consume the planet's dwindling resources. But that's it.

Catch you later...and may the Force be with you.;)

At least the problem in the Middle East has a reason...a stupid idiotic reason, but a reason.

Fulit's situation sounds completely ridiculous. I used to believe in the sanctity of life and all that, but more and more I think we need to start culling the herd. All men are not created equal...some are born really really stupid and are a true drag on the progress of humanity.

Sorry to hear about it, Fulit. Wish we could help. Posse anyone?

Wow, thanks for all the kind responses! It's been almost two weeks, I'm not going to be back fully yet, but it was finally time to come over here and get the computer (the first thing most people would get) and other stuff pulled out, so I decided to log in for the last time from here and see whats up and ask a few questions. We are still in the process of moving, it's taking so long because my wife has had a couple of weeks of (nursing) school left till the end of the semester, so we've been working around that, our son, and the care of her 90 year old Altzheimer-stricken grandmother. Heh. This two weeks could have easily been 2 months and I wouldn't have noticed the difference. At least I'm not bored! Anyway, I did get to do Midnight Madness still, a little bit, so that was cool. That involves one of my questions actually, but I'll post it over in the correct section.
I'm scared to click the "View New Posts" button, because it will probably be like 100 pages long. I miss this place a lot though, can't wait to be a regular poster again. We should have all our crap sorted out by the end of May though. If we're lucky. I miss all you guys, and thanks again for the well wishes and such. Be back soon!............

I'm sure he can't mind missing the Jorg Sacul debacle. :D

Just got a new cable modem today, still working out all the details of it, learning about it and such. Pretty weird. Yesterday was a horrible day, a culmination of all that's happened. Basically I had to put my two dogs down for reasons I won't go into. So it's been a somber sob-fest around here, you know?

Anyway, things are slowly coming together, and I'll definitely be around the 16th to talk about E2, I've already read the novel, so I can't wait to discuss the events with everyone after the movie comes out.

English doesn't have the words to describe what all your kind thoughts have meant to me. Thank-you doesn't sound like enough, but it's all I have so thank you all.

Who the hell is Jorg Sacul? Or do I even want to know? Oh well, I'll be back soon to find out I hope. later........

I don't want to jinx it, but I may indeed be back in one piece and sooner than I thought, maybe? I just looked around the house, and *gasp* I have some time to myself! I'm going to make some posts or something. Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival.

2 weeks ago we had to put one of our dogs to sleep, and it was/is crushing.

Take care!

My dog died last summer and I was devastaed. I don't want to get into specifics but I KNEW it would happen somehow. I had to go away for a week and I KNEW I'd never see her in this world again. I can't explain the feeling but I called my mother later in the week and they had her put down because they had just found a massive tumor in her stomach. The rest of the summer I was a wreack. I honestly never knew how much that dog meant to me. My sister made matters much worse by getting a new dog right away without even consulting anybody else. Things are better now though and my new dog is great although he'll never replace my old one. People think I'm crazy but they just don't understand how strong my bond was with my dog.

I'm very sorry about your dogs, Fulit. And Caesar, and Bosskman.

I lost one of my dogs while in high school, she died of heart problems while I was taking her out for a morning walk. Another dog of mine died while I was in the Army. It's a terrible thing to accept and an even worse one to get people to understand.

Thanks B :)

If I can lighten it up a bit, Carlin once did a bit about how "life is a series of dogs." I'm too sensitive to laugh about that idea right now, but looking back on my life it does bear some truth. :)

I lost 3 cats in the last 5 years:(
one was too old (about 15 years) and had health problems
the second got run over by a car (we searched weeks for her and asked everywhere until some guy told us that he saw her die)
and the third ran away last summer, he jumped out of the second floor window (we just moved and he was a VERY strange cat, he even was afraid of us) and we never saw him again (hope he still lives somewhere

Sorry if I'm a little late with this, but sorry to hear about your troubles Fulit, and I wish your famly well.
Wow, I've had my share of bad neighbors (this one little kid that used to live in the house behind me used to stick his "wanger" through a hole in the fence and pee in my yard! That is until one of my little cousins took a stick and whacked him!;) He learned his lesson after that!), but that is just SICKENING! I hope the perpetrator was caught and punished!
My mom's dog died late last year and it was horrible. She was my mom's best friend for the last 16 years. I tried to stay strong to support my mom (she cried like a baby), but it was too terrible. I couldn't help, but break down. That dog really loved me too! Plus, it's never easy to see a parent that broken up over something. I hope your family isn't taking it too hard Fulit.

Thanks everyone, again, for the thoughts and such. I still don't like to talk about them right now, you know? Too soon. It was cool to read the replies though, about the dog subject. Well, it wasn't cool, you know what I mean, but commiseration is always important.

InsaneJediGirl, I should've listened to you. You warned me to stay away from the Jorg Sacul threads, but curiosity got me. I haven't participated in any of the discussion, but I am worse off for even knowing who Jorg Sacul is now. If Hasbro were to collectively become a single person, he would have to be taken out and shot. But let's not have this thread turn into a Sacul flamewar or whatever. So........

......Moving on, I must say things in general are a little better but not much. So many bad and stupid things have happened even since Tuesday, that this entire thread could be like a weekly article update on my stupid life. A "pity me" thread, ha!;)
I could and would not allow that to happen though, so I won't elaborate.

I do wish I could be on here posting as much as I used to. Which wasn't a lot, but more than I get to now. Maybe this summer......ah, I better not jinx it. Anyway................
........um.......Happy Early Mother's Day, everyone!:D

Heh, funny you should say that. My mom is 400+ miles away, in Suwanee, GA. She absolutely hates Mother's Day, though, she told me, don't call, don't send anything. She hates it and all other "greeting card corporate holidays". I gotta love her for that.;)

Greeting card holidays blow! It's really quite ridiculous. Yesterday some freinds and I were talking about what we were getting our mothers for mothers day and when I said "nothing" they looked at me like I was Bin Laden. People don't have to buy their mothers stuff to show them how much they love them. I don't want to turn this into an anti-commercialist rant so I'll just shut up know.......
