Question about different packing

I am a little confused about the packaging on the new figures. Did the ones with a background(insert res?) come out first and the later ones dont have them, or is the background something they added later?

I picked up some figures tuesday night that had a backing and others that didnt and some I got today also have backing while others dont.

I dont usually care about variations since I open them all, but just curious.

The figures WITH the BG card were produced first. The figs WITHOUT the BG card are the newest figs. So in essence the figs with the BG cards are gonna be the rarest since only the initial first batch has them. All the figs that Hasbro makes from now on will not have BG cards. Right now the figs with the BG cards are easy to come by but once they're gone they're gone. Only exception is that the Dexter Jettster fig with a BG card is hard to come by. That could be worth collecting.
