We have not received the packet in yet on the Jedi Training Event, but as soon as we do, I'll let you know. We just got the packet for Spiderman. It included Spidy glasses that has red lenses so the kids could go around the store and find these answers to questions. And we also just got in the really cool 3D spiderman promo stand. It hads no product on it, but there is a NY skyline type thing with bilboards that advertise thing like Dr. Pepper, Hershey, and what not.

No, for 35-year-old men who spend all their time on the Internet.

Date: May 18, 2002 Time: 10am - 12pm

Here's the deal ladies and gents. It is an event for kids. There is no age specified however but it is for kids. There are 4 "stages:" and I will discribe them below.

Stage 1
Lego Clone Building Challenge
There will be a box with the Lego Clone troopers all over it. Inside, a total of 150 Lego Clone troopers await unassembled. The 3 parts are the legs, body and head, and the helmet. Each child is give 60 seconds to assemble as many Clones as he/she is able to.

Stage 2
Hasbro Force Flipping Figure Challenge
Included in the "kit" is an Obi-Wan Deluxe force flipping action figure. Each child has 60 seconds to "flip" the figure and get him to land on the pad on his feet. Only when he lands on his feet does it count.

Stage 3
Frito-Lay Go-Snack Sampling
A rep from Frito-Lay will be onhand to distribute a Frito-Lay Go-Snack to each child participating.

Stage 4
Jedi Training Academy Main Arena
We have not received this yet, so I am going off the event sheet as to what it is.
Accoring to the paper, the Main Arena is somethinf the child enters with a Star Wars Lightsaber(?), they are to be reminded that a Jedi uses the Force to defense, not attack. When they are ready they press the start button. Music and voices will start, then sound as all lights(attackers) power up. That is all that is described. Until we get in the Arena I have no idea what is suppose to happen there.

After the child goes through all 4 stages, they receive a certificate with their name on it saying they complete the Jedi Training Event. Each child also gets a Jedi Training Activity book.

And that is the Jedi Training Event for May 18, 2002.

oops...so thats what all those Clone Trooper legos are for. I started an army of them tonight with what all came in that box. Oh well, I don't think 10 will hurt the 150 in there. I am going to try and get all of them once the event is over and the deluxe Obi-Wan Kenobi b/c they won't wanna keep them laying around and I am the only Star Wars collector down where I work, so I got a good shot at it. Imagine an army of 150 lego Clone Troopers...awwwwww *Homer Drooling*

and on the stuff we got, it said that the event was for kids 12 and under although I am still going to try and do the events even if I am 20...lol

lol Tenebrous... Every time you post something, I imagine Obi-Wan sitting on a log reading it to Luke on Dagobah with that echoing voice. There's just an association I make with posts and avatars :)

If I get all 150 lego Clone Troopers I might cut a trade with people. Share my luckiness.

If I were the lucky recipient of those Clonetrooper Legos, I'd be quick to take them home and give them a good soaking in Lysol. I love kids, but I'm always afraid of what they've been messing around with or sneezing on or digging up...anyways.

It would be nice if there were a Lego catalogue where you could order extra men. Even 10-packs of clone troopers seems like a great idea for those who can't buy a dozen gunships. The little clone guys are so...cute, for a lack of better words. I just hope they don't do something silly like wait and release lots of clones with a super-expensive Kamino set.

I got back into the box again and now I have 20 lego Clone Troopers. My army is slowly forming and I have pics to post of all the pages from the Jedi Challenge.

Are the clone troopers for retail sale? I haven't seen any... But then again, I really don't look at the Legos. I might do the Jedi thing (being 18) for the heck of it and so that I can beat up an 8 year old with a basic lightsaber. haha.

No...the Clone Troopers are for one of the Jedi Training Events. There are 150 of them in 3 different pieces (Legs, Mid-body, Helmet) and the point is to see how many you can assemble in 1 minute. Now of course, when the event is over, I am going to see if I can have them seeing that I am the only Star Wars fan at the Wal-Mart that I work at.

OH OH OH I see, I see... I thought it was a big clone trooper. Still sounds cool.

Damn kids get everything these days.

I'm too old to do it (23). Or atleast they would look at me funny if I tried to do it.

Since both threads are about the same thing, I merged them.
