Wanna see somthing very cool. These are pictures a friend of mine sent me of an "Empire Strikes Back" Pinball machine. Apperantly an Australian company put these into production in the 80's, without copyright permission from Lucasfilm. 250-300 were produced, but most of them were destroyed when the Lucasfilm began legal action. Around 20 or so escaped before the mass destruction of the remaining stock. Apperantly there is also a US Customs "Destroy on Sight" order for these, since they infringe on Lucasfilm copyright. Very cool item, and definatly a rare collectible. :)

Hmm, the only thing that seems Star Wars about it is the backboard glass image behind the infinity mirror, and those backboards aren't THAT hard to make if you've already got the guts of another machine. Got a shot of the game itself?

Sorry he didn't send me one, but the person that sent me pictures of the machine says that it's well documented. It's in the collection of a Pinball Machine Collector. It wasn't approved by Lucasfilm, most likely due to the fact the game probably has no Star Wars connection other then the backboard. It was probably rushed into production to get a piece of the vast merchandising rights, and knowing Lucas' commitment to quality, was why it was never approved. In the 70's and 80's alot of the cheapy pinball games had the same guts, with different backboards. :)
