I know I said this in the "AOTC Surprises" thread, but I fear it will be overshadowed by Padme's chest.

So, didn't you think the sound those seismic charges made was really cool? Complete silence, then ............................

What's this about *chest*? :D

Yeah, I thought the sound the charges made were excellent. And the silence before hand made it even better.

...that sound effect is the same one used in the Kirk vs. Khan starship battle in Wrath of Khan...I believe the composer got the sound by striking a muffled piano wire with a hammer.

Feel free to commence flaming me. My brother likes Star Trek, okay?!?

I thought the sound had skipped at first.

It was a pretty cool effect.

Hey, dunno about this other thread, but in this one, can we please keep it PG (even though Lucas didn't)? SSG would like to remain open rather than getting taken offline by some watchdog group that doesn't like the topic of *you know what*.

As for the charges, I really had no opinion about them, they were like the proton torpedoes (firing, not entering the exhaust port) of this movie for me - no real attachment or hatred of them, they just "were".

I didn't go nuts over it,
but I liked it enough to want to hear it again - so I was pleased to get an encore. Satisfying. :)

Yeah, they were cool sounding. I'm glad that there was more than one because I thought there was something wrong with the movie when I heard the silence before the first one.

It was a really cool effect! It made the whole scene much more dramatic to me...

Oh, and Mylow, I think it was more of a BWAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGGGG rather than a BOOM ;)

Yea, that was a cool sound, but did anyone notice or hear that the speeder chase, and obi-wans starfighter, mixed with jango's slave 1 all sounded like the old hums of the pod racers?

I do understand its an engine and all, but I'm not big on recycled sound bites.

I LOVED the sound of Padme's silver ship right at the beginning of the movie. That old WWII bomber noise coming out of a "stealth bomber/B-52/Buck Rogers" ship was perfect.

I do understand its an engine and all, but I'm not big on recycled sound bites. I wasn't terribly thrilled with many of the Ep 1 sounds, so it was kinda frustrating to hear many of them recycled into this film. I also was super bummed to hear TIE Fighter blaster cannons for Zam's blaster and for Dooku's geonosian escort speeders.

Loved the sound of Jangos' Seismic Charge's from Slave 1, excellent job done by the sound team.

Not only are the sounds annoying, but the music is pretty redundant also. I love John Williams' variations on the Star Wars music, especially the different takes on the Imperial March and the Force theme, but the stuff from the whole final battle was note-for-note taken from the battle of Naboo from Ep I. That's so weak--Lucas should have had Williams cook up some new theme, not a lame retread. Oh well, the new Love Theme is pretty good and was used to good effect in Ep II, so at least that's something--I was just hoping for more original music.:(

I loved the sound effects in this movie. I have only seen it 2X and so far theres not too much that I don't like.
